Giants win!

I was hoping to see history, but the Giants winning is amazing. Talk about underdogs. To be honest, since they beat my Packers I wanted them to win, but wouldn't have been upset if they had lost.

Congratulations to all the Giants fans who supported them all season.

AGDLynn 02-03-2008 11:24 PM

Yea!!

I didn't have a favorite so I "chose" the Giants, hoping I wouldn't jinx them.

I did notice about the split second it looked like they were winning, QVC starting selling Championship stuff.

JennRN 02-03-2008 11:27 PM

Yay Giants!! I was hoping they'd win since I am so over Tom Brady (that'll teach you to leave your pregnant gf for a supermodel!!) and Eli is a cutie-pants and in the same fraternity as Mr. RN.

Yay Giants!!

Yay Giants!!

I have to agree on being happy w/a Giants win for the same reason.

Hotty toddy, Eli!

smiley21 02-03-2008 11:41 PM

I will now point and laugh at the Patriots....HAHAHA!! It is about time Tom Brady gets knocked off his high horse. I said the same thing about him deserving that after leaving his pregnant girlfriend. :p

KatieKate1244 02-03-2008 11:58 PM

I had no interest in the game at all until the last 10 minutes. I'm now wishing I'd watched the entire game.

Great job Giants!

ADqtPiMel 02-04-2008 12:02 AM

As a huge Colts fan, I have to root for anyone in the Manning family...I'm so excited!

Last 10 minutes WERE the game!!! woo hoo!

epchick 02-04-2008 12:08 AM

So I pretty much almost had a heartattack when they scored that final touchdown.

Really though, I had faith in my Giants all season. I knew they would beat the Cowboys and the Patriots had such big heads, that its great to see my G-men knock them down to size!!!!

Buttonz 02-04-2008 12:09 AM

I'm going ot have tons of fun tomorrow in school! :D

Go Giants!

NinjaPoodle 02-04-2008 12:15 AM

Well, since I don't like either team:p, were there any good commercials?

2 brothers winning back to back Super Bowls at their position

2nd wild card team to win

1st Super Bowl win in over 15 years

Not to mention that Peyton and Eli were the youngest QBs to win a Superbowl (well ok, so my dad told me this information so i'm not 100% sure if its accurate lol)

FHwku 02-04-2008 01:59 AM

tell your dad that ben roethlisberger was 23 years, 11 months old, when he won a superbowl.

lilzetakitten 02-04-2008 03:24 AM

I was pretty glad that the Giants won. I really don't like them normally but in comparison to the Patriots...

I can't stand Tom Brady. I think he's scum. So him getting humiliated was a nice thing. And Bill Belachik... ugh. The fact that he left the field before all the time ran off the clock really says a lot about him. I really have no respect for their organization or their top people. So yay Giants! I can go back to disliking them tomorrow :)

texas*princess 02-04-2008 09:12 AM

Congrats to the Giants!!!

Just goes to prove.. cheaters never win!!! lol

I believe they were the first NFC wildcard team to win the superbowl also?

=and=

Not only did the 2 bothers have back to back Superbowl wins, but they got the MVP titles also!

smiley21 02-04-2008 09:21 AM

I knew the game was going to be awesome when Tom Brady kept screwing up. ;) I watched the game with my church and it was so fun. When the Giants made the game winning touchdown, everyone lost it. :)

33girl 02-04-2008 10:26 AM

All I can say to the Patriots is this...

Since the Wild-Card System began in 1970, only nine wild-card teams have advanced all the way to the Super Bowl. Of those, only five won the Super Bowl, the 5 Super Bowl winning wild card teams being the 1980 Oakland Raiders, the 1997 Denver Broncos, the 2000 Baltimore Ravens, the 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers and the 2007 Giants.

Ummm...those are all AFC teams, right?

I thought that was pretty classless, too.

I wasn't emotionally invested in either team -- actually I lost interest in the entire NFL early this year.

All the same, the last few minutes rescued a fairly mundane game.

I WISH I WERE BACK HOME LAST NIGHT

I LOVE MY GIANTS!!!!!

my husband and i were jumping up and down trying to keep the the excitement down and not wake the kids. i think we watched every news report available just to relieve the moments.

the pats got their asses handed to them. a nailbiter til the end. it was a fantastic game!!!!:D

darling1 02-04-2008 01:48 PM

SthrnZeta 02-04-2008 02:16 PM

Yeah, definitely talking baby commercials (e-trade I think) were funny. But overall, not as many funny ones as usual. Tom Petty was good as ever (I've seen him live twice). I didn't really care about either team either (Redskins fan) but during the game I was rooting for the Patriots simply for history sake. BUT, now that I think about it, I like Bridget Moynahan and the coach leaving the field was pretty crappy also (guess he figured he did his thing before those last two seconds ran out?). So, I say, congrats to the Giants! :)

ForeverRoses 02-04-2008 02:31 PM

My son was very excited that the Giants won. I think mainly because he won $19 for picking the square that had the final score on it.

alum 02-04-2008 02:39 PM

I had one sad little boy last night (actually two if you count the H).

Scully 02-04-2008 03:12 PM

Ultimately, it was the greatest Super Bowl that I've ever seen. To have my whole family on the edge of our seats (literally) the entire 4th quarter was priceless! My throat still hurts from screaming :) I'm sooooo stopping at Modell's after work and getting myself (and the DH) a new t-shirt! I think my sister is even playing hooky from work tomorrow to attend the parade.

Go Big Blue!

Typo...it should have said "cause".

I am so out of it tired this morning with all the snow on the ground and thunderstorm and rain, and a 2 inch layer now of slushee....and 7 inches due tomorrow...

I think the best commercial was the Bud Light commercial with the wine and cheese! 2nd place was the talking stain during the interview for the Tide pen!!

I was rooting for the Giants also! Simply because I can't stand when the media is all on a teams jock! Case in point, last year's Colts. I only rooted for the Colts b/c I have been a fan of Tony Dungy since he got slighted with Tampa Bay.

Alicia Keys needs to hit the treadmill. Her thighs are starting to look like Christian Okoye. She is a little thick.

It was the most-watched SuperBowl ever and 2nd biggest TV event in history, second only to the M*A*S*H series finale. That's pretty impressive.
