New Kids On The Block Reunion

http://omg.yahoo.com/report:-new-kid...ting/news/6009

My original post was a little unexcited. Shame on me!! :) I am thrilled and they all look so hot.

ThetaPrincess24 01-27-2008 10:42 PM

I thought all of them were hot except Danny. I just thought he looked like a dork! I think it was his nose. His nostrils looked big to me.

Joey was my favorite when they first made it big. Now that I'm older and so are they, Jordan I think is the hottest one. :D

Obsession8 01-27-2008 11:25 PM

I did a little happy dance when I found out about this. I'm a self-described overgrown teeny bopper. I *LOVE* boy bands, and NKOTB have always been my favorite! :D

I, too, can't see them dancing, just singing. Whatever they'll do, I'll be watching! :D

SATX*APhi 01-27-2008 11:27 PM

This should be interesting.

Considering Jordan is almost forty, uh yeah :)

MTSUGURL 01-27-2008 11:54 PM

The cool thing is, we're all legal now, so we have a chance with our favorite...

Kidding of course. Right now what I'm feeling can best be described as a mixture of excitement, curiosity and mortification.

SthrnZeta 01-28-2008 12:41 AM

NKOTB reunion.... now I feel old :(

But I will always have a special place in my heart for Jordan. Mmmm....

I think MTSU had it rightp: excitement, curiosity, and mortification.

I remember a few years ago, VH1's Bands Reunited tried to do an NKOTB reunion. I think everyone thought that Jon would be the first one to say no, especially with his anxiety issues, but surprisingly he agreed to do it. Jordan was also willing (surprise, surprise) but Dannie, Donnie, and Joe were not. If the band was going to reunite, they'd do so together as a group, not because Aamer from VH1 asked them to.

That's why reading today's articles got me surprised. I'd love to see them get together again, but for some reason I just can't see it happening.

I told my mother they may be reuniting and a look of horror appeared on her face. I guess she still hasn't gotten over the 1990 and 1991 concerts.

I think I'll go dig out my NKOTB in Rhode Island (?) pay per view video for old times' sake.

nittanyalum 01-28-2008 02:40 AM

^^^Yeah but since the VH1 effort, Jordan and Joey have actively pursued the camera/continued attention with Surreal Life and Dancing with the Stars, Donnie's acting career seems to have cooled, and the Real Estate market's tanked (which is what Jon does, right?). And Dannie... was forgotten about so he probably just needs the gig. And I bet they see how well-received the Spice Girls reunion has been and figure they better hop on the train while it's still on the tracks. So I bet you will get a chance to add some more ticket stubs to the '90 and '91 ones, OTW! ;) :)

haha, I already asked her to be my date. According to her, it was a nightmare being in an arena with 8000 'tweens back then. Imagine these 'tweens as drunken twenty/thirty-somethings today and it's a recipe for disaster. It's funny because I did save those ticket stubs. It's in the box with the memorabilia I saved.

If they do make it back out here to Hawaii (which I doubt, but you never know because The Police plays here next month!)...you know I'll be there!

scbelle 01-28-2008 04:48 AM

Well now that I heard this (great) news, I don't feel so bad for downloading old NKOTB songs from iTunes and putting Hangin' Tough on my myspace. ;) My husband thought I had lost it.

If they have a tour, I will definitely be there! Excitement, yes. Curiosity, yes. Mortification... maybe on my husband's part. He can't believe I'm still such a big teeny bopper. But I have always had a thing for Joey-Joe.

cheerfulgreek 01-28-2008 07:19 AM

They must need money. I always hated them.

Xylochick216 01-28-2008 10:52 AM

One of my college roommates and I saw Jordan Knight a few years ago. I think I was still harboring resentment because my parents wouldn't take me to a concert when I was little. He was playing at a local club, and VIP tickets were under $30. It ended up being us and a bunch of over-30s, but he sang mostly NKOTB stuff, which was awesome. We got to go on his tour bus afterwards. This was just before Surreal Life aired, I think. He was a bit nervous and edgy, but I had to take a picture with him.

Still BLUTANG 01-28-2008 01:44 PM

"I'll be lovin you forever" is one of my most listened to songs on the ipod. i loooooooooooove nkotb!

madmax 01-28-2008 04:38 PM

A reunion? WHY? Did Joey McIntire run out of washed up celebrity reality tv shows to do? Maybe Vanilla Ice, Gary Coleman, Webster, Greg Brady, Danny Bonacucbag, and Eric Estrada should start a band too.

smiley21 01-28-2008 05:18 PM

"Tonight" and "Step By Step" were always my two favorite NKOTB songs. :)

Unregistered- 01-28-2008 05:27 PM

"Cover Girl," "Please Don't Go Girl," "My Favorite Girl," and later on from Face the Music "If You Go Away" were my favorites.

Back then I was fully convinced that Donnie was singing his songs to me.

AOII_LB93 01-28-2008 07:29 PM

Sweet Jeebus....I was the biggest NKOTB fan back in late middle school early high school - though I don't think that I would go to a reunion show. :) My bedroom was wall to ceiling posters and magazine pictures from Bop, Teen Beat, and whatever other garbage mags I used to buy.

Joey Joe was my fave. I too thought Danny had large nostrils. My cousin loved Jon...we both thought Jordan looked like a vampire though, and I prefer the younger wahlberg brother.

Ahh the memories of the Forum and Dodger stadium concerts.:cool: I just can't imagine them singing "please don't go girl" anymore.

:o

AlphaFrog 01-28-2008 07:58 PM

I guess I shouldn't have thrown away my two autographed t-shirts.:o

LMAO!

ThetaPrincess24 01-28-2008 08:27 PM

I wonder if Donnie will take off his sweat soaked t-shirts and throw them into the audience again?!?!?

Somehow, that's just not as appealing to me now as it was then.

I agree that marky mark is the better brother! What ever happened to his music career?

Taualumna 01-29-2008 11:08 AM

I still have my Step by Step CD and my Hangin' Tough tape. And yes, I (and probably 90% of all NKOTB fans) was in LOOOOOOVE with Joe :P

ZTAngel 01-29-2008 02:20 PM

Donnie was my favorite. I had pictures of him all over my Trapper Keeper.

Perez Hilton posted a quote from Danny's website. He claims that they're not having a reunion. :(

ThetaPrincess24 01-29-2008 09:14 PM

I had a framed poster in my room, my sister had the NKOTB bed sheets, and I had a NKOTB locker mirror at school (not to mention the cartoon and concerts on VHS and assorted t-shirts).

BAHhahahahahahahahaha!!!

There's supposedly a new song on their website, but when I clicked into the link, it keeps telling me I have the wrong version of Flash (even though I downloaded the latest) so I couldn't hear it. Maybe someone else has better luck: http://www.people.com/people/article...174771,00.html

I so want this to be true! My friends and I would totally go together, since I don't think I could get my mom to come as she did back in 1990 when it was my first concert EVER. They could make a lot of money doing a reunion tour, I think. Like someone else here said, an "unplugged" thing could work, though I think "Hangin' Tough" won't hold up the way some other songs might ("You've got the right stuf....baby. Love the way you turn me on.") :)

texas*princess 01-31-2008 11:09 PM

I always thought Danny looked like a monkey... lol

xoheatherxo 02-01-2008 02:11 AM

i hope they go on a reunion tour and that they come to phoenix!!! me and my friend totally wanna go! i remember seeing them on tour when i was younger and wanna see them again now!

According to the Today Show website, they won't be on Friday's show. Actually, on the concert schedule, it has "Suprise Reunion Concert" listed for May 16th. Perhaps, NKOTB could be on then?

Something big's going to happen soon, according to the NKOTB website. If I'm doing the math correctly, that's Friday morning?

ETA: http://www.groundctrl.com/clients/nk...s/3_31_08.html

This was the official press release issued by the website sent to fans who signed up for updates. It's no joke!

On that other link that you posted earlier, it said that they were going to announce something on the Today Show on April 4th (which is Friday). So maybe it is an official announcement of their reunion with the concert coming next month? Whatever it is, I will be watching!! :D

I heart Jordan forever.:p

scbelle 04-02-2008 02:21 AM

I signed up for updates from the NKOTB website (yep, I'm a dork) and got an email from them saying they were going to be on the Today Show on Friday.

KSUViolet06 04-02-2008 12:16 PM

I'm pretty excited. Jordan Knight was my favorite.

Taualumna 04-02-2008 04:27 PM

NKOTB publicity pic 2008

Danny looks so much better now than he did in the old days...back then he looked NASTY.

I must agree. He doesn't look as monkey-like now.

Donnie (MY favorite) still looks hot. And I never thought I'd be saying this, but Jon definitely looks better than his brother! :D

Sister Havana 04-02-2008 04:45 PM

Jon was always my favorite. They've definitely improved with age!

LeslieAGD 04-02-2008 08:11 PM

Why is Danny standing like that in the picture? It looks like he's about to use a urinal.
