I noticed a pair of shorts at Target that had tiny anchors printed on them. Grab 'em for recruitment!!

There is also an Anchor bikini!! I saw it yesterday and almost flipped out.

That is a lot of anchors! It seems to go in cycles of three years for nautical styles.

Those wellies with the anchors are too cute!!!! Is all this stuff at Target??

I was just at Target twenty minutes ago and looked at these items (mind you it is -5 degrees and -20 windchill but oh yes they're a sellin' bikinis now...)


The Bermuda shorts don't look so hot to me in person. They seem cheaply made even for Target. The color is washed out (it is not a dark color as it shows) and the embroidered anchors aren't that well done. Pretty disappointing. I was hopeful!

But last time I recall Talbots also carried nautical and am wondering if they might follow this trend.

I love the anchor bikini (and it is PINK AND BLUE too!!)...the bermuda shorts, not so much. :)

I just went to the Target by my house today and none of this stuff is there yet!!! :mad:
I still managed to leave with a bunch of stuff I didn't know I needed though!

I love it that the model is even wearing a "DG Sailor Cap". ;)

hah...we had the Victoria's Secret anchor in our front window...then the cable man came to fix the cable in that room and somehow managed to break it in half...we were all very sad to see it go. it was such an awsome conversation piece during recuitment, all the pnms would ask about it!

I might just get those bermudas anyway. They look old and beachy. I just look old. It's a match made in heaven right here in Florida! LOL

I was flipping through my Lands' End catalog and they had a cute long sleeved cashmere tee with an anchor on the front - navy with a cream anchor or cream with a navy anchor.

I just have to say that your sig is HILARIOUS.

I saw this while searching on J. Crew and automatically thought of DG. The anchors seem rather large, but could be a fun bid day/recruitment accessory.

Awe man, I was just on target.com to try and order those adorable wellies and the bathing suit, unfortunately they don't ship to Canada!

Canada really needs to get a Target, cos the anchor stuff they have right now is fantastic!

I'm sure it's not online anymore but about a year ago in a Nordstrom catalog, the back cover had a black cocktail dress with a jeweled anchor back-- the top connected to the halter of the dress, the crossbar went onto the underarms, and the back was open except for the rest of the anchor. I considered buying it for formal that year but couldn't find it at a local store.

I never paid much attention to anchor clothing 'til I saw this thread - now I see it everywhere! Lilly Pulitzer: Love you Knots bag, center of attention necklace, S.S.
