have any of ya'll regular posters even gone in there??? do they EVER not speak greek?? im not dissing on the greek language, but ive gone in there and they won't even pay me any attention; much less speak to me in english to even try and explain what they're doing. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/rolleyes.gif anyways, i think it would be cool to actually "chat" w/ some of ya'll every once in awhile. i think it would be fun http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif

We've tried to explain that we mean Greek letter organizations chat, not Greece chat. They don't care. Some of the people are American & have been very rude to me. A lot of us have AOL IM &/or MSN IM. I think there's a thread w/ everyones' names for those. I posted mine, so it should be at the top now. On MSN you can have multiple peopl chatting in one IM window, so it's a lot like a chat room. Can't wait to hear from you!

On AIM, you can create a nice big chatroom for AIM users! It's great, and very easy. Do you have AIM, Liz?

I too have gone into the chatroom and been shunned by Greek language chatters...is it possible to make a chatroom called fraternity/sorority chat or something?

What do guys think of just storming that chatroom on a given day at a given time?

It would be awesome to chat with you guys. I feel everyone else's pain and frustration: I have been in the chat rooms numerous times and am always ignored http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif.

I am all for reclaiming the chat room. Let's designate a certain day and time and take back the room!

I went in the room the other day to see what was going on. I got Private Messaged by two of the chatters (I guess they are bilingual) and they were rude...nasty...and obscene.

I even tried explaining the concept of GreekChat...all to no avail. Each idiot posted a solicitation for sex!

Is there any way to make the chat room more secure so that one has to be registered with GC in order to use the room?

Heya... Is anyone going to be on this sunday around... oh... 11 am or 12 pm?? I'm like, totally busy from Thursday till Sunday night! Maybe... Wednesday night? afternoon? It was great talking to people real time last night! I think we should definately try to do that more often.

Either way, I think people should go in there whenever they have a chance and just bug the greek nationals who are in there. Give them the hint that it is not their chat room.

I go in every once in a while and ask if anyone there speaks english. Once in a while i actually get a rude response. More often than not I'm completely ignored.

Common guys! Let's take back what's rightfully ours! Everyone who's with me, say I.
