Terminator TV
Anyone watching?
What do you think? |
I saw last night's episode and have recorded the one that came on tonight to watch later. I'm not sure if I like it or not. Parts of it I did like and other parts of it I thought were not so good. I'll give it a shot though and watch a few more episodes because frankly, there isn't much on that I do like right now.

Yeah...I am curious to find out what madel Terminator she is, and how soon can we expect to get a cameo from any of them from the movies....heheheh So far the storyline is still within movie parameters...kind of curious to see how far they can go with this...especially the Cyberdyne part of it.... I have a guess that furture Terminators will not only come back to kill John but also make sure that Skynet survives. |
I read in Entertainment Weekly that they explain away Sarah's cancer and all the little continuity errors from between T2 and T3 by having them jump from 1999 to 2007.

in T-3, the last one was set on July 24, 2004 (Judgement Day) which is different from August 29, 1997 in T -2 So....hmmmm...I wonder if someone missed this |
Yeah they're kind of fudging T3 and building into T4 (or whatever they call it) which will star Christian Bale!
I missed the show so far, but I'm going to try and catch it, I'm a big Summer Glau fan :D |

I keep finding those little time errors but Mike told me to stop being obnoxious about it and enjoy the show. :p

The way I understood T3 was the Judgement Day actually didn't occur. I remember John saying it to Claire Dane's character about how his mom was like "they survived" and that they "stopped judgement day". But like at the end of T3 they weren't supposed to stop it, just survive it.
Question though about T3, do they ever say the "year" in it? I ask because in the show it Cameron (the female terminator sent to protect John) said that judgement day occured in 2011. Also, why can't Cameron take orders from John? She says that the John that she is protecting isn't the John she can take orders from. HUH? Otherwise I thought the episode was very good. Which is a good thing considering the writers strike going on. They seem to be doing a pretty decent job of keeping in track with the movies, probably helps that quite a few of the names in the credits I recognized from the movies. |

The whole timeline thing is a little confusing to me....
What is this about Christian Bale???? Who is he playing? John or a Terminator? Also I thought they were waiting until Arnold was out of office for T4? |

So is anyone watching? Did anyone else watch the season premiere?
If so, what the hell is up with Shirley Manson being a liquid metal Terminator like the one in the T2 movie? I'm also wondering why Cromartie didn't kill the FBI agent. He's had the opportunity now twice to kill him yet he's left him alive both times. |
I watched. I was actually surprised about the ending, the chick that Shirley manson played, being a terminator. The thing though is, she is a completely different terminator than Cameron or Cromartie. She's like the terminator from T2 or T3, super advanced. My only guess is that she too was sent from the future to ensure that skynet was built. Cromartie was sent to ensure that John was killed and Cameron was obviously sent to ensure that John stayed alove. Way too many terminators!
My guess is that the FBI agent (whatever his name is), while he said he wouldn't lead Cromartie to John and Sarah, I think he will do it inadvertantly. As for T4, courtesy of imdb.com, Christian Bale- John Connor Anton Yelchin- Kyle Reece Bryce Dallas Howard- Kate Connor Helena Bonham Carter- Serena (just thought it was cool she's in it) Roland Kickinger- T800 (there's our terminator) according to the site, Claire Danes was reportedly offered the role but declined to reprise. Here's what imdb.com has as the synapsis of the movie: Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright, a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet’s operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind. As for Arnold: Even though he’s still wrapped up in politics, it looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back as the Terminator in Terminator 4. Just don’t expect to see him for very long. The Boston Herald spoke to MGM CEO Harry Sloan who says that he’s already contracted to show up, but it’ll probably only be for a cameo. Maybe he’ll do a symbolic passing of the torch to whoever they come up with to be the new Terminator. http://www.cinemablend.com/new.php?id=4592 I'm so excited for this movie! Next year is gonna rock with movies, HP 6, Transformers 2 & T4 (opens 5/22/09). |
I need a new DVR...too much stuff comes on monday nights....I will spend the rest of the week catching up just because of it.

This episode was a good one. I'm still trying to figure out what was written in blood on the wall. Also, what the hell is the deal with the Riley girl being introduced? I think she'll somehow be involved and/or connected to Comartie finding John.
I finally figured out where I recognized Charly's wife from. She's Penny Widmore on LOST. Cameron is different. She's acting kinda sketchy. |

Its fun watching to see "what" the characters will try to do, even though we (as audience members) know what is going to happen (via T3). |

Has anyone seen the new trailer yet? I wonder if there is going to be any connection to the show http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0438488/ |
bump
Still watching and am glad they finally killed off Riley. Damn she was irritating. I'm also glad they got rid of the hallucinating Sarah storyline. It was lame. |

Seriously, if you didn't want John to trust Cameron, why not just keep trying to "take out" Cameron? |
1. I did NOT see Derek being killed off coming. It was unexpected.
2. I've had this damn song in my head all day: I just down from the Isle of Skye I'm no very big but I'm awful shy All the lassies shout as I walk by, "Donald, Where's Your Trousers?" Let the wind blow high and the wind blow low Through the streets in my kilt I go All the lassies cry, "Hello! Donald, where's your trousers?" |

So let's see... Riley, Jesse and now Derek...in the space of 3 shows!! Hmmmm |
Who knows if the show is coming back or not but it's interesting how they ended it with John going to the future & meeting up with Kyle and Derek but they have no idea who John Connor is.
I do hope they bring it back for another season. If they do, here are some thoughts I have (theories). 1. Sarah will continue to battle in the past alongside Elliot to try and stop Judgment Day. 2. John will learn from his dad and uncle (though they don't know who he is) to learn and become THE John Connor. 3. A nod to T1, John knows when the time is right to send Kyle back in time to save Sarah thus, starting the cycle all over again. |
My brother thinks that Fox might wait to see how the opening weekend sales of T4 go before announcing whether the show will come back or not. He thinks that if the movie does well enough than the show will come back, because there will be more "interest" in the TV show. Plus, Fox can release season 2 on DVD before the new season would start, so new fans would be caught up.
1. I figured out that Shirley Mansons terminator was the one John sent Jesse and crew for when she asked Cameron to join her. 2. I honestly never expected her to save John, Sarah and Ellis and then send herself and John to the future. I just didn't expect there to be this super advanced Terminator who came from the future to stop skynet. I was like, hmm, since stopping skynet would mean you don't exist. I'm wondering if she wasn't really trying to stop skynet but more change terminators in general (you know by teaching John Henry morality). 3. John going to a future where John Conner doesn't exist and isn't the leader of the rebellion is kind of weird. But it was cool seeing Derek again, plus Kyle and a non-terminator Cameron. 4. So speaking of the non-terminator Cameron, how much you wanna bet if the show comes back, she and John will be getting it on. LOL. |
