Intervention
Does anyone watch this? A new one is on right now on A&E.
|
I love Intervention- hard to watch, harder to look away.
|
Love it...didn't watch it tonight...I've been watching the LSU/Ohio State game. But I really do like Intervention.
|
I don't know why I like the show so much.... it's not like I'm laughing at the addicts or anything. I just find it really compelling.
|
Its great-real, honest, gritty, and as in life the 'ending' is unscripted & unpredictable..very compelling
|
FYI: New episode Tues- 1am
|
I have watched intervention almost non stop since it started. But, I've gotten really confused--
It started on Sunday nights Then it moved to Friday night And, now, it comes on Monday night, right? Anyway, I love the show. Again, don't know why. I am generally a documentary junkie though. |
Dang, I thought this thread was going to be about Dr. Phil getting Brittney from the hospital....Yikes!
|
I really like watching this show too, but I haven't caught an episode in a while.
Thanks for the heads up that there are new ones out :D |

It's on!

It's on! This time, kids are involved. :(
|
OMG, when she can't get alcohol she drinks mouthwash!!!! Apparently it has more alcohol than beer. Massive ingestion of mouthwash can result in organ failure and death.
|
OMG I don't know if I will be able to finish this one.
|
I couldn't watch this one because it was just too crazy.
Plus, The O'Reilly Factor is on. :D |
Tonight' s show starts here in 15 minutes!! It's supposed to be a follow up show I think. Can't wait!!
I love this show. LOVE IT. Sometime I wanna slap the people and be like-grow up already! Everyone has issues, freaking deal with it and don't use it as an excuse!! And other times you watch and think-OMG, that poor person and what they've gone through. What gets me is always how the family suffers as well. |

I also watch Hannity and Colmes because I like Sean Hannity and enjoy the show. |
But FoxNews is humorous in that they crack jokes, especially at CNN's expense. :)
|
Oh :(
I assumed from your relevant, coherent, and thoughtful comments on politics in other threads that you were over here on the left side (even if not in Barack's corner). Sorry about that. ;) |

I was disappointed with the follow-up episode that came on afterwards. I do love this show, though. |

I missed part of last night's episode - was the mouthwash drinker the lady who used to be "supermom"? I felt so sorry for her children. I did catch the end - her husband finally divorced her, and she stayed sober for a while. I think it said she had been sober again for a month, maybe?

Who saw the episode with the guy who was addicted to cold medicines. Yo... he swallowed a whole damn bottle (probably about 20+ pills) in one gulp. He had so many issues. Poor guy... :( |
I never saw that one!
|
This alcoholic/meth addict tonight is sad. :( She's been an addict for 10 years.
They showed how she transitioned from "daddy's little girl" to the addict slob who lives in a guest house behind her dad's rental property. She's 110 lbs but can drink and take drugs 3 days straight without sleep. She has empty bottles in her junky ass guest house. The guest house is FILTHY. FILTHY. FILTHY. She says she is truthfully a sister in Jesus Christ. Then sometimes she claims to be Satan's sister. She says she is A god. Her jacked up, drawn in, arched eyebrows scream "there is no god" but God bless her. :( |
Thank you for posting.... I missed the first 15 minutes, but from your description I think I've seen this one.
Now I get an hour and 45 minutes of Intervention! (So not into Raisin in the Sun) |

Okay...drug addict, shmug addict...I would've royally whooped my sister's ass.
The sisters were fighting a couple of times and that (unfortunately) made me chuckle. |

She got punched in the tittay!
Rita..... naw, I didn't see any of it. Raisin isn't one of my favorite stories in the first place. Plus, Diddy doesn't do it for me. |
Drug related note: anyone notice the new "don't do Meth" ads? One's got a girl going "i'll just do it once" starting by smoking, then stealing money, eventually having sex with a guy for meth once and then her little sister "just trying it once"
The other had a girl get in the shower and look down at blood in the tub and start screaming, she looks over and sees herself post-meth use and her druggie self begs the currently clean self not to do it. It was a "Fine Fine I won't do meth if you stop showing the commercials!" moment. |
It really surprises me that no one called the cops on them. I mean, she was outside completely nude and fighting like that. You can tell that the meth/drugs have really damaged her mental health.
I like how she was like "Well I'm skinny and you're FAT!" Um yeah but I'm not an addict living in a trash heap. I was in AWE of her living conditions and how people just let her live there, trash the place, do drugs, and just do whatever she wants. Her dad is a total enabler. Good for them for sending her to jail. She probably needs it. |
She was absolutely gross. It turned my stomach seeing that she was naked and living in a trash heap. She probably smells like fried ass.
|
Kim with the eating disorder is on.
|
"I regret that I didn't kill him." -- Kim's mother, referring to her husband who abused the kids.
|
I'm watching it. So sad.
|
I know these are mental and emotional disorders but I can't help but want to slap this one like I wanted to slap the meth addict woman who fought her sister in that other episode.
