Delta Gamma Chapter Returns

Grand Council is pleased to announce the return of Alpha Delta Pi to the University of Arizona in the fall 2008. Delta Gamma Chapter was originally on the campus from 1957 to 2005. We will join the eleven other NPC groups on the campus when we return.

Our return to the Tucson, Arizona campus is the result of an agreement between the sorority and the local Panhellenic Council when we closed our chapter in 2005. Recruitment numbers have grown significantly over the past few years, and the Panhellenic Council sought our return this fall.

If you know of any woman attending the University of Arizona that you would like to recommend for membership, please contact Tiffany Eisenbise, Campus Services Manager, at teisenbise@alphadeltapi.com or by calling 404-378-3164.

Please be on the lookout for future information regarding this exciting addition to Alpha Delta Pi!

Congratulations !! let me know if there's anything my son or his fraternity chapter can do to help. He's an active member of the TKE chapter at the UofA.

As thrilled as ALL ADPis on GreekChat are at this news, I think one in particular is going to feel as if Christmas came early!

Will they be actively rushing, or having an Open House, then recolonizing? Major violets to adpideltaup, for sharing the fantastic news!

Why, yes, *of course* I feel as if Christmas came early, Honey :D ;)

But we all know that another sister will be turning cartwheels and cheering so loud we can hear her all across the country! :)

Congrats, Delta Gamma chapter on your upcoming return to the UofA campus!

EXiADPi 12-18-2007 11:24 PM

I guess me moving back to the Tucson area will hopefully be a good thing. You can ask Brianna I do drive bys of the house, of course it does not help that my aunt works in space sciences 2 blocks away from the house either. Yay for Delta Gamma.

azureblue 12-19-2007 06:42 PM

Congratulations to the Delta Gamma alumnae! This is a wonderful opportunity to be able to get ADPi back at the U of A. Thank you for keeping us posted, adpideltaup!

ASUADPi 12-20-2007 09:16 AM

Why Polarpi and Honeychile you wouldn't be "talking" about me would you? LOL :D

A part of me is so super excited, the other part is "omg how the hell is the house going to be ready in time".

So now is my plug time....

We really need sisters willing to donate. Anything you are able to give. Please go to www.adpiuofa.org. Click on progress, then call for donations. At the bottom of the page will be a pdf file. You can print it out with how much you would like to donate and send it off.

This is a huge undertaking, it was all the time, but even more so now because we are a year early. I am asking all sisters, please donate!!!!!!

If you have any questions or know people who can donate (money, time, services) to us please go, again, to www.adpiuofa.org click on any linke (join us, about us, etc...) and there will be a link "contact us". My suggestion would be contacting Lindsay or Peggy.

azureblue 12-20-2007 11:14 AM

Brianna...the Delta Gamma website is AMAZING! Thanks for sharing this link with us.

Hey I guess that FormerADPiTCC was right! She said that awhile ago that they would be back--she was right! How exciting! I can;t wait to see how it goes--who is in charge of handling the Delta Gamma undertaking?

ASUADPi 12-27-2007 10:04 PM

So I was searching through some old threads and I found one about our houses. In honor of my chapter coming back (YEAH!!!!!) I thought I'd post a picture of what the house currently looks like and then the artists conceptions of what the house will look like. :D

I apologize the pictures are HUGE. I don't know how to make them smaller.

The future ones I got from the official DG website, but man I had to search for them :D

Excuse the crash ... my husband, last night (9/10), at the UofArizona chapter advisors' meeting was told that Alpha Delta Pi has over 200 women signed up for the colonization recruitment.

Good luck to your colonization team.

And stealing from Honeychile- you are always welcome :D

Oh, everyone go to the website and check out the newest pictures. It shows the completed (yes, you read that right (other than the bedrooms ;)) house!

texas*princess 09-12-2008 12:00 AM

wowzers! best of luck with the colonization team!

honeychile 09-12-2008 10:17 PM

I just LOVE it!! But I was seriously impressed by the use of blue & cream, and by this:

I would SO love to see rugs like that in most ADPi houses!!

polarpi 09-13-2008 12:33 AM

I'm so excited - I've also heard that one of the girls I used to advise (who transferred to UofA) is getting involved with the chapter there. Woo hoo! :)

honeychile 09-29-2008 09:31 PM

According to the official website, Delta Gamma chapter took a whopping 186 Alphas! Congratulations to all involved!

How pathetic am I that I'm crying. It's been so long since the chapter has had that many members. When I was there there was like 80 girls, we were the smallest chapter. You would walk through the house and see all the composites from the late 80's and early 90's and they were huge. I wanted that to happen again. And it did.

God I'm pathetic. Lol.

I just looked at the website for the chapter (someone posted a link in another thread) and I am even more excited for Delta Gamma now! The house looks great and 186 Alphas is incredible- violets to our recruitment/expansion team!

polarpi 09-30-2008 11:29 AM

I texted Bri about this last night when she passed on the news - I am SO proud of Delta Gamma and the wonderful new women who've become a part of our sisterhood (I'm additionally partial, since U of A is part of our province :D)

Congrats to the recruitment/expansion team on another job well done!

Jill1228 09-30-2008 11:44 AM

Jill, you're an honorary ADPi Forum poster by now - not a crasher! You're welcome at any time!

sarahsmilehawk 10-19-2008 08:15 PM

Ah, how exciting! A girl from my chapter is an LC this year and I was so excited to hear about this! I have a soft spot for Arizona...

I love this! It's at the top of the stairs.

EXiADPi 10-19-2008 11:51 PM

It is Homecoming this weekend so my mom and I are going to tailgate and I will get to show her the house I worked hard on this summer. I'm missing my own Homecoming this year. For some reason I would rather watch a USC game than drive up to Flagstaff to watch Weber State and participate in Homecoming activities @6am. nauadpi remember those days or maybe those memories are fuzzy like mine? :p

ASUADPi 10-19-2008 11:55 PM

I'm also going down for homecoming, even though I graduated from ASU. I really want to see the completed house and I would like to meet the girls.

Oh yes I do remember... Amazingly I think a lot of sisters are heading up for homecoming this year, mostly ones that graduated before you were initiated...

ASUADPi 11-08-2008 09:40 AM

Initiation is today! Woo Hoo!

I'm heading down this afternoon for the installation banquet. I'm so excited!!!! My biggest problem is finding a semi-formal that actually fits (I'm sure I've got one in the house somewhere :D).

polarpi 11-08-2008 11:08 PM

I'm sure it was all lovely - congrats to Delta Gamma chapter & all involved with getting us back to UofA!

ASUADPi 04-27-2009 09:39 AM

There was a nice article about Delta Gamma and two other chapters (I cannot think of the chapter names now for the life of me) in the current Adelphean. Nice article!
