If they would have waited just a few more months, they could have used a Trans-Am or at least a Camro.

KITT will always be a Trans-Am to me.

JonInKC 01-23-2008 01:50 AM

BLASPHEMY! Now whenever I see a 16 yr old girl in a Mustang with flower stickers on her car I'm going to vomit in my mouth. Knight Rider is DEAD to me.

I completely agree with you. And I'm a Ford girl through and through. Although the new Cobra is dead sexy, I am a little disappointed at the fact that they couldn't even use the new concept Camaro or Firebird for the show. I hate when they bring back older TV shows/movies and don't stay true to their roots.

Can you say...Bionic Woman?

JonInKC 01-23-2008 08:47 PM

That's ok. Us GM folk got the GTO/Camaro concept car that transforms into a robot. Take that, Kitt.

DSTCHAOS 01-23-2008 08:52 PM

I'm a Ford person all the way. My fav car is the Mustang.

But...I don't like Kitt anymore :( I hate big spoilers on cars, too.

Looks like the Knight Rider is gonna be walking a lot seeing how he's "driving" a ford. I'll bet Kitt breaks down ever other week...

I can also pretty much grantee that the mechanic will have a bigger part than the Knight Rider...at least more screen time.

Thats right. I just went there. That just happened!

 I hear a lot of people talking bad about Fords. I forgot what they say about the F.O.R.D. acronym. :(

Your Ford errors trump your spelling errors *whoop ass*

Ford : Found On Road Dead. I think that is what you are refering to. Although, there are quite a few. This is a link to a partial list:

http://www.automobileblog.org/2007/12/12/ford-acronyms/

But my personal favorite is ford spelled backwards is DROF.... Driver Returns On Foot

JonInKC 01-27-2008 02:15 AM

Kitt should've been a Corvette at least.

I like "DROF." You forgot "Fix Or Repair Daily." But it's all good. All I've ever owned are Fords. And I would never trade one up. I just love 'em and until death do we part :)

Those Swap Your Ride commercials are great. "I like the horsepower, it really goes!" and I look on the screen and the vehicle has 265 hp. Wow, better take it easy there, Speed Racer with your awesome 265 rwhp...

cheerfulgreek 01-28-2008 05:03 PM

I'm sure the new Knight Rider will be just as corny as the 1st one.

Scully 01-28-2008 05:51 PM

Popular Mechanics has the breakdown of the specs and special feature comparison on the Knight Industries Two Thousand 1982 Trans Am vs. the Knight Industries Three Thousand Mustang Shelby GT500KR... http://www.popularmechanics.com/auto...s/4237588.html

Who's playing the new Michael Knight?

DaemonSeid 02-17-2008 10:26 PM

Ok...so far this is almost a shamelss Ford plug...

I still want to know how that car let a pokey SUV stay up with it...?

oh yeah right they wanted to show off its handling capabilities...

jitterbug13 02-18-2008 12:30 AM

^^
I agree with it being a big Ford plug (even a Lincoln and Volvo made it in). And I did enter the contest...twice. And did you notice the only GM car (the suv the bad guys were driving) got totaled?

The story moved a little slow, but it wasn't bad.

I think it will come back as a show if tonight's ratings are good.

I did feel a little sense of deja vu (especially when the Hoff came on).

Scully 02-18-2008 12:34 AM

I totally realized that about the GM, too :) Hmm, coincidence?

And I only got to enter the contest once before 11pm :( but the show itself wasn't at all bad. I actually found myself laughing at parts and going "Oh no! Shoot him!" I would watch it again.

jitterbug13 02-18-2008 12:40 AM

I did laugh when KITT asked James if he was gay and when James dropped the potato chip.

but the father got out of the totaled SUV walking hehehe....remember when sitting in a GM SUv sit on the back pasenger side seat...you too can survive a head on impact with an armored Ford.

lilzetakitten 02-18-2008 12:59 AM

I think the SUV that the FBI agent pulled up in after the accident was a GM vehicle also... my FI works for Chevy and I think he mentioned that.

Scully 02-18-2008 11:33 AM

Actually, the most awful part came at the end, before the credits, when they replayed the scene at the cemetary. Mike said something to the effect of, "Will I see you again?" and Michael replied, "I hope so." And then the voice-over announcer came on and said, "You will see David Hasselhoff again on America's Got Talent!" and showed him singing. Oy. It would have ended on a better note without that!

AKA2D '91 02-18-2008 11:39 AM
