That 2 stone, Nintendo song...

It is called "Flavor of the Week" and I think it is by "American HiFi" but I am not sure. The line goes "Too Stoned, Nintendo" explaining why her boyfriend is a loser, he is too stoned and plays too much Nintendo.

The song by Blind Melon is "No Rain", actually i sort of like the song but the video is f-ed up.

Other videos that are just bizarre:
Beastie Boys - "Sabotage" (great, but weird - cochese refs are always key though)
Daft Punk - "Around the World" - seriously, what the hell
Toni Braxton - damn, can't think of the song, but the one where she's all laid out on the light-up pedestal in all white? I mean, it's hot, but freakin weird

The strangest video ever has to be:
Aphex Twin, "Come To Daddy"!!! Man, that thing gave me nightmares. But the song kicks ass!

Another one I was thinking about that reminds me of my childhood is Tom Petty's video to the song Don't Come Around Here No More. The one with Alice in Wonderland and she ends up being the cake and they eat her. WEIRD.
Another freaky video was Sting's I'll Be Wrapped Around Your Finger. He was in some black room with these candles that he was running inbetween. Perhaps it was just the song itself but then the candles just made it weird.

Normally I wouldn't be on here complaining about such a stupid thing as a music video, but what I saw the other day was just disgusting.
Does anybody else think Mariah Carey looks like a prostitute in her new music video LOVERBOY. My 15 year-old sister and I were watching when it came on and just keep looking at each other for an explanation as to why the video...well, SUCKED. The song isn't all that catchy and the video is basically of Mariah strutting around in short short shorts with a top that could basically fall off if the wind picked up.
Anyways, I was not impressed and didn't even watch the end of the video. So I was wondering what everyone else thought if they've seen it, or if there are other videos that just make you wonder...where on earth do these people come from.

As for Mariah looking like a prostitute, when in the past few years has she NOT looked like one? I must admit, though, that "Loverboy" is probably the worst song she's come out with yet. I saw that video the other day and I too was wondering what she was thinking.

Any Marilyn Manson video is number one on my list for freaking me out. But hey, I guess some people like that stuff...

I agree with RC, that Sabotage video is wacky, but a great one. Who hasn't wanted to be part of a 70s cop show? (ok maybe just me). One question though, there was this video that was kinda cool, the song sucked, it was by REM a couple years back. The thing I liked was that the band was part of these cool paintings. I wish I knew the name of the artist, they listed it at the beginning. Maybe I am just crazy, but if anyone knows what I am talking about I would like to know the name of the artist.

I think the Robby Williams video where he pulls off his skin is pretty weird as well. Getting back to the whole Mariah thing,
I have to say I really like the "Loverboy" video. Now, I am a little biased since I LOVE Mariah but whatever. I think saying she looks like a prostitute is pretty harsh. She's not doing anything that Britney, Christina, JLO, or Jessica "I'm a big hypocrite" Simpson haven't done. Plus, have you seen Willa Ford's video? She much more hoochie than Mariah could even think of being. These days most female pop singers are doing that whole sexy look. Also, I think the song is pretty catchy (I like the "Candy" sample alot). Sorry, didn't mean to go on a rant.

Okay, now I actually like the song Loverboy- it's catchy. But to say she doesn't look like a ho in that video....come on! She needs to let all that go and buy some class! The clothes look dreadful- what trailer did she hop off of? The make-up and hair do not suit her- she isn't light enough to carry that brassy shade of blonde or that fuschia lipstick off- she needs to leave that stuff to Britney!

I think the Moulan Rouge video was real cool and all but the only part I hated was Christina's hair! What the hell happened w/ that? Everyone's hair was done all nice but hers was just this big poofy thing. Now Im a big Christina fan and all but that's the first time I didn't like her in a video.

I used to be like the BIGGEST Mariah fan, but I've completely lost interest in her music. In my opinion, it's just not as good as it used to be. I know that "everyone" is doing the "sexy" look, but you can be sexy without baring it all. And someone like Mariah Carey, who has been around for years, doesn't need to look trashy to get people's attention. For those that do like her music, I don't think they would like her any less if she had done that video in a more classy way.

I agree about Christina's hair in the "Lady Marmalade" video....what's up with that? She looks sooooo nasty!

My personal crappy video is that song "Smack my b**ch up" or whatever...when it shows some person puking or something. You know the one I'm talking about....the camera follows as if the "eyes" of a person....it's such a nasty video....who was on crack while making it?! My guess is everyone! I'm sitting at home watching music videos, and I see one of the weirdest videos I have ever seen, and it reminded me of this topic.
