GAS Prices
So how much are you paying per gallon of gasoline? I fille dup today and gas was $1.42 a gallon, and it cost me $32.00 to fill the truck up. How muchg do you pay per gallon, and to fill up.
|
well i remember about two weeks ago paying 1.19 for gas on a good day, but now my good days are 1.51 http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif Actually thats how much i paid today, i paid 8.30 to fill up half the tank- so i guess it would be around 16 dollars to fill up the tank. I know its not even close to your thirty something lifesaver, but i have a small car! This is insane! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/mad.gif

1.87 for Premium in Southern Cal.
|
Price of gas is pretty bad, last time I checked it was around 79 cents a litre (canadian).
Mulitply .79 times 4.5 (# of litres in a gallon) divide that number by 1.5 to figure out the approximate cost in american dollars and the total equals $2.37 a gallon... I'm probably a little off, but maybe this is why very few students have their own cars (at least on my campus). |
Here in Nebraska we've had terribly high gas prices. This Summer is when it started and every now and then for like a week it will reach a low of maybe $1.29 but lately it's been going up.
Last summer the ultimate high I remember paying was $1.89. Right now it's $1.65 by my house but in other locations across town I've seen $1.55. It's rediculous, but what can you do? You gotta drive! I remember Summer of 99 the prices here were 98 cents. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT?!?! What is going on?!?! I'm paying $1.92 a gallon. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif I have to get the 93 octane. I get ticked off everytime I fill up my car.

I heard on the news last night that the gas prices may get up to $3/gal http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif! When is the madness going to stop!?
|
I live in Southern Wisconsin, which sort of gets dragged in with Chicago (one of the places with the highest gas prices).
Right now prices aren't too bad... last I looked, I think we're around $1.75 (?) but last summer we were all the way up to $2.10 or so... and that was for the lowest grade! The job I'm taking for the summer will involve me driving from location to location all over the state... I don't know what I'll do if we hit $3.00/gal! $1.42 for premium...you have GOT to be kidding me.
On a regular day... In Hawaii, the average price for unleaded is $1.89. I use Chevron Plus, and it costs me $1.99 a gallon. Premium's $2.04. You should see my Chevron card bill! Don't even get me started about when those gas prices rose last summer! The Big Island's the worst though. They've had prices over $2 for a long time now. I hear they're most expensive is around the $2.30s. So, next time you complain about gas prices, think of us in Hawaii. ------------------ "Talk doesn't cook rice."--Someone smart Visit Alpha Gamma Delta-Delta Sigma chapter and help some sisters out! |
I think this year is going to be terrible when it comes to gasoline prices... http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif
I currently pay $1.72 a gallon for Plus...and I'm in Southern Florida. This is madness. I remember when unleaded was 99 cents and I could fill up my car tank with ten dollars. Now it takes me... 17-18 dollars to fill up my compact car!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/mad.gif I thought about going to one of the cheaper no name stations, but I keep hearing rumors that they water down the gasoline...so I try to stick with the big names. |
Down here in Miami its $1.65 for regular.....

Makes me glad my car's in the shop and headin' back to the dealer....I remember last summer when it was around .96 a gallon....ah, the good ole days.
|

I live in Atlanta, GA, and am currently paying around $1.47 for regular. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/mad.gif Does anyone else remember paying around 75-80 cents a gallon back in the good old days? That's what it used to be like just a few years ago!!!

Man I gotta get the password for my other name. :Þ
Life, I think you and I drive the same kind of truck. I have a 89 Z71 chevy, with the extended range fuel tank, here gas is 1.59, so from empty the other day it cost me $42. Crazy. And I have to fill up about twice a week driving to my internship. I'm tellin ya, its time to buy a diesel. Their prices are staying at about 1.39. Now for something really stupid. I bought a new bass boat friday, and low and behold that thing has a 40 gallon gas tank on it. I made the dealer fill it up, cost about $70. I'm guessing that all day fishing trips right now as it stands are gonna be costing me about $100 everytime I hook the boat to the truck. Please help, send money. |

I am in the South, and we are paying about $1.60 for regular. I got $1.52 the other day and was so excited! I am feeling all you guys looking at $2+ - Lord please don't let it get that bad for me! |
Where I live in Virginia, ten years ago it used to be around 95 cents for gas. At least around my house and now its around 1.55-1.57.
|
Here in Richmond, or back in Richmond, or whatever, its around 1.52. It was 99 cents two years ago. But guess what! In Turkey, its around $7.50, in Norway, around $11.00 and in parts of Germany, $15.00. These are rough because of currency exchange rates, and the metric system. But still, we are lucky. But I'm glad so many people are pissed off about it, because if America doesn't want electric cars (like the new Hondas and Toyotas) then no one will ever have them.
|
I live across the street from a gas station (I know, what a view!). I wacth the gas prices as a habit. Last week, it was $1.55, then $1.57 in two days. Tuesday, when I came home from work, it was $1.61. When I woke up to go to work 10 HOURS LATER, it was $1.69!!! RIP OFF ARTISTS!!! This is the price for REGULAR! I hate living in such an expensive area sometimes, although this may not have to do with it from the prices I see listed...But it's about $.20 less where my 'rents live!! WHY??
|
It was .74 in BC today. Not too bad, but it has better, it's been down in the low 60's.

The cheap stuff at the gas station I go to is $1.70 right now, just a few weeks ago it was $1.30. Gas peaked around $2.05 last summer. And now we're supposed to get hit harder than any other part of the country again this summer.

Gas right now here is $1.78... but I drive a Honda so get 35mpg... glad I chose the car over the Passport(SUV) right now. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif

I'm bringing this topic back up one month later to see how much it's changed. It's gone up about 10 cents in two weeks down here.
I just paid $1.54 (regular unleaded) in Texas. |
|
For premium in the area of bama' i live it's $1.75.
|
premium about $2.20 in los angeles. its been getting lower lately--was at a high of like $2.48 or something a few weeks ago.
|
Price of gas in eastern ontario has dropped 3-4 cents a litre which isn't too bad, and maybe a sign of things to come. I was talking to some people from Montreal today who spent $86 Can. on a winnebago who were travelling to visit family in Fort Nelson British Columbia.
Well, at least they won't be paying 90 cents a litre (the price of gas in quebec). |

They dropped! IN SA, they are down to $1.25, and this small town outside of ours has a great gas war on with gas at $1.04 unleadded at the Albertsons. WHOOOO HOOO. Ima fillin up tomorrow.
Has it gone down where you are? |
Gas has slowly but steadily been going down here for about two weeks now. We're down to 72 cents a litre - 7 cents a litre lower than my post in this thread earlier.
I was wondering if anyone else was reeping in this good fortune... |
wow. you are some lucky people...here in md gas prices are nuts...i am talking as much as $1.87 for regular unleaded. this is nuts! aren't those asshole rich enough? i mean really...when will it stop? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/mad.gif
|
I'm in michigan, too. It's down to 1.68 here.
|
Yeah, my friend at GVSU was complaining about the gas prices. When I told her what they were here, she stopped complaining! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif
|
I live in a small town in VA, where gas is currently $1.42/gallon. That's not bad at all compared to other places! I spend about $21 to fill up. I remember when it used to cost me half that much!
|
I just paid $1.30 this morning!!!!! I was so excited... it was soooo cheap (compared to the $1.59 that I've become so used to).
|
Alright how's this for bad????????

|
LOL, AlphaXiGirl,
Thank you for the offer, but gotta stay here in beautiful CA!!! It's still wonderful regardless of the energy crisis, the expensive cost of living, and the idiotic gas prices http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif!!
