POLL: What are your bad habits??
 

I am embarassed to say that I have some majorly bad habits!

-I am the Queen of Procrastination and Laziness http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif

-I hate dealing with stress, so I instead "run away" from it, and then soon it gets too much and I can't deal with it calmly

-I'm a Shopaholic!

-I eat for comfort

-I worry too much and overthink things

-I start new things (projects, etc.) but never finish them!

-The Scorpio in me either gets too passionate or too apathetic (no offense other Scorps, you know that I love my sign!!)

I'm a scorpio, too!! That, I guess, leads to one of my bad habits. I have an awful temper. Sometimes I lose it for no reason. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/tongue.gif I also procrastinate... I still haven't finished painting the mural on my wall that I started 3 and a half years ago. Plus, I have the horrible habit of buying every cute ferret I see. I no longer go to pet stores, because I can't afford it. -.-

I'm sorry, but what is a ferrett? Is that a type of bird? Sorry, I'm not too knowledgeable in the pet field! Also, do you know how much a puppy costs from the pet store? I've always wanted a puppy!

Seeing as two other awesome Scorpios have posted, I guess I will keep it up!

- I am a bathroom slob... not when I am at school, but at home I have a bathroom to myself and there is always makeup, blowdryers, various types of hair gel, nail polish etc spread out ALL over the counter

- Oh, and another scorpio flaw - I am very moody and am infamous in my house for my temper - it doesnt explode very often but when it does, watch out!

As I said in my first post, I also love starting projects but I never finish them... a few days ago, I had enthusiastically went to a decorating store (i like to decorate things, like my room) to get some new stuff for my room. MY WORST HABIT:
I'm a smoker. I started smoking in college and I've been trying to quit for about a year now. I've drastically cut down the amount of packs I smoke a week..and sometimes I'll wait until the weekend comes to smoke...it depends on the kind of week I'm having.

I also bite my nails. The BF says I have an oral fixation problem but I don't know...

I'm a procrastinator.

Oh--and I tend to bite straws when I drink out of them.

Newbie - the club is a GREAT idea! Oh, and one other bad habit that it seems you and I share - I save things. I have boxes in my room full of notes, cards, etc dating back to my first communion (thats like 12 years of stuff) and the top shelf of my closet has all of my teen magazines/ cosmos etc back to 1995 (I saw your post to Hootie with the belly button thing and laughed so hard b/c I save things like that too AND would remember an article!!!)

I'm like you, juniorgrrl, I can pretty much tell anyone the fat and calorie content of any food on the earth! It's sad! I obsessively watch my calories (so I don't go over 1,500, which is very healthy for my weight, thank you...no I don't have an eating disorder!) http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/tongue.gif However, I do need to watch what I eat because I don't have time to exercise very much. So I make up for it with my diet. My other bad habits are procrastinating, not getting enough sleep, and my room and car are always messy.

2. The Need for Speed! I drive so fast some times, I scare my self,lol
3. Always Late
4. I watch entirely too much TV
5. I apolgise constantly. "Man it's raining, Oh I am sorry" really silly stuff like that, I can't help it though its a habit
6. I said Huh all the time. When it's to silent, or just nothing to say, I'll say "Huh" for no reason just to kill the silence

Seeing these two next to each other just made me chuckle a little.

I crack my knuckles and bite my nails. Both are habits that are too hard to 'kick'. I used to smoke but quit a couple of years ago.

I have a lot of them:

I picked up this weird habit of mine from my pledge mom--we shared so many classes and time together that now I also twirl strands of my hair like she does and it looks bad coz we sit together in class and both of us do it randomly at the same time.

I'm also a procrastinator, and the worst part is, I really WANT to put important stuff off. GC,AOL,friends,phone, anything to keep me from starting on a paper or whatever. Even if my ex was telling me that I should start, I would beg to stay on the phone w/ him for "just a while longer"

I'm an Internet,email and GC addict. Nuff said.

I'm a big shopaholic and I keep buying stuff I don't need or would only use like 3x and then get tired of.

I always bring back stuff whenever I go home for the weekends and by the end of the schoolyear it makes it such a pain to move out of the dorms coz i have so much crap that build up.

Whenever I get my nails done (or if i just paint it myself)i glance at them every 20 minutes or so to make sure they didn't chip or something (coz i have somewhat fragile nails)

I watch talk shows like Jenny,Maury,Ricki and Sally--once Maury had this "is she a man or woman"topic and I actually missed class just to see if my guesses were right...my roommate wouldnt let me hear the end of it.

I eat ALL THE TIME. when im bored or when watching tv or infront of the computer...and I take multiple "ice cream breaks" at work (some take cigarette breaks, i take ice cream ones)---I guess im just taking advantage of my ultra fast metabolism (coz i've actually had people ask me if I had an eating disorder! what the hell?)

I also talk about my (now ex)bf a lot. Tee hee.

If I had a problem I bug/cry to/ask my friends about it.

I actually enjoy answering those "getting to know u" survey email thingies. (now THATs sad)

My 2 huge vices:

Books and sweet tea.

I can't help it lol. I speed all the time but then i actually get there on time, and then I go ohh I got a few minutes to kill. And then ummm... well a few minutes turns into 10-20 minutes or even an hour in my case,lol

Newbie until last year I still had all of my old zillions (it was like consumer reports for kids) and nickelodeon magazine. I had to throw them out because I needed room for more recent cosmos, etc and all of my papers from high school!

Oh, another way we are alike - in HS I used to DRIVE to the mall if I had 2 free periods in a row b/c I love shopping so much!

Wow maybe I was supposed to be a Scorpio or something because I have soo many similarities to all of you. I am an Aries though

Bad habits...oh geez, I have a lot:
*Shopaholic...I am a compulsive spender and always buy things I dont need/never use...like I own 12 pairs of black shoes! Who in the world needs that many pairs of black shoes?
*Pack rat....never, ever throw ANYTHING away...tests/papers from jr. high and hs, letters, cards, you name it. haha I too have tons of magazine from the 80s that are soo old the covers have fallen off, but i can't seem to part with them.
*As a result of being a packrat I am horribly disorganized/messy..never make my bed or hang my clothes up. My room looks like a tornado ran through it...twice!
*Drive too fast and tail people
*PROCRASTINATION!!! It has taken me all night and several hours in the morning to write a 1 page response paper that should have taken 30mins tops.
*Addicted to AIM, Internet, Email
*I overanalyze everything and worry too much about what people think/say about me. Guess I'm kinda insecure.
*I always talk during movies
*Lazy
*I start things and then never finish them. I have half completed dress patterns, scrapbooks, letters to family/friends, etc.
*I eat/snack late at night
*I avoid confrontation like the plague...I can't tell someone what is bothering me right then, but have to keep my feelings all bottled up until it REALLY bothers me or someone notices and says something.

--talking too much

--talking too fast

--talking and laughing too loud

--fiddling with things when I talk; if I'm standing while I talk, I pace around in circles :D

--biting my nails

--letting my dishes pile up unwashed

--drinking WAY too many Diet Dr. Peppers!

--being too early to everything...even class :D

I worry waaayyy too much, and I chew my fingernails :mad:

My mother has been nagging me to stop for years, and I think I'm actually starting to listen to her somewhat!

Stupid Question
 

Ok so here's a stupid question...what do you exactly do with the nails for those of you that chew on them? I don't understand...won't it look weird and chewed up? Do you eat it? I don't know anyone that does that I guess.
