www.freerice.com is an awesome site, where for every vocab question you get right, an amount of rice is donated to those who need it, with no limit to the amount of questions you can answer. This is a great site where you can see how smart/stupid you are while giving food to the hungry.

I donated 70 grains before I felt stupid and gave up.

Nifty, i'm up to 330 at the moment.

I donated 500 grains! I didn't think that I could remember so many words! That was fun!

I think I made it up to, like, 2300 one time. But then, I have a lot of time on my hands.

I used the site for a class vocab lesson, and the class in 20 minutes raised over 16,000 grains total. They loved the site, and many went home that night and played again.

I think it is 1000 grains in a bowl- when you get to 1000 your bowl empties and starts refilling.

I donated 2000 grains before I felt the need to get back to work.

I love this site!!! I donated 1060 grains of rice before I got annoyed at myself for not being able to move up a vocabulary level. I'll be trying it some more though.

Dang, way to go, Lucy! Good lord, how long did you play to get to over 10,000 grains of rice in one sitting? And I think I've topped out around level 40.

I dunno, it wasn't that long. I know I spend a lot of time on the computer...but it's not that bad!

I kept flipping over as I was loading a bunch of Audiobook CDs into iTunes. I got to level 52, then couldn't get past it. I kept the window open for a few days, and got to 20000 grains.

I can't believe how many of these words I learned from disney and nickelodeon!! I'm at 2020 grains, but I'm gonna leave this window open for when I get bored!

I was in class one day and a teacher friend of mine came in and showed me this site. i have been on this site everyday since school got out for the summer ....i am well over 15,000 gains of rice!

Just donated another 5720 grains! I started going cross-eyed staring at the screen so I quit.

I lovelove this site and have spent a fair amount of time on it today because I just realized that you can switch subjects on it--I did some English vocab, then some Spanish, then some chemistry. Y'all go donate some rice!
