What's your favorite scent??
 

That Bath and Bodyworks post started me thinking so now I'd like to pose this question to both the ladies and the gentlemen out there....what is your favorite scent to wear and what is your favorite scent for the opposite sex to wear?

For myself, I love "Angel" by Thierry Mugler; it is billed as a chocolate, vanilla and caramel scent (hey, it works!) For my significant other, I love Gap Blue for Men. Yummmmmmy!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

I wear Toujours Moi and Mr. Carnation wears Jovan Musk! However, I want to explore several scents--including the one that KillarneyRose mentioned and some fruit scents. Anybody got any suggestions?

My favorite scent for me is Clinique Happy, and sometimes Bath and Body works scents.
For guys, Tommy and Curve; there's also some Nautica stuff that smells really good, but I don't know what it is.

I use Hugo Boss. My ex-girlfriend gave it to me. We broke up a year and a half ago, but I still use it because it smells pretty darn good.

For some reason, I always am attracted to citrus scents. In fact, there was an issue of InStyle a few months back with a special fragrance section. For some weird reason, there is a GROUP COLOR Test which you can take which will show which group of fragrances you are attracted to the most (i.e., floral, oriental, woodsy, sporty, etc.). I was attracted to the group with baby pink, baby blue, baby purple (is there such a color?!), soft aqua. That put me in the citrus category...and it's so true!

The scents which I listed in my first post in this thread (under "For Me:") are mostly citrus! Have you ever tried Clinique Happy, YSL Babydoll, Px Calyx, or Ralph by RL? (I'm wearing Babydoll right now--and I love it!) Those are truly citrus scents! I think Stila Aqua Flaunt in Gardenia is also pretty citrus too. In fact--I am going to Sephora tomorrow! I will go there and check out some fragrances--I will report back to you in which citrus fragrances I really liked. Have you ever been to a Sephora store near you? The Salespeople are great--they are genuinely nice, helpful, and generous! You can pick up 3 free vials of perfume samples each time you go to the store (of fragrances that you like). The vials, IMO, last quite a long time! They are also generous with cosmetic samples, too (like foundation perhaps). HTHS!@! Hey localsororities, I wear Curve too; its a great scent! I read somewhere that it contains synthetic pheromones or something which is supposed to make it more appealing to the opposite sex (frisky huh? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif ). I also love Green Tea - its smells so fresh and I get compliments every time I wear it. For my honey, I persuaded him to wear Tiffany for Men because that is my all time favorite guy scent. He loves it now and it smells SOOO yummy on him!

I have known this man for 10 years and he has never once noticed the scent I was wearing until now. Am I going back to Macy's tomorrow to buy a bottle? I wear a scent called Rosell for special occasions (waaay expensive)

And I also like Estee Lauder's Beautiful and Knowing and Dazzling Gold

But right now, I am really feenin for more Rykiel Rose. When I wear that, I feel "dead sexy, ya know!"

Here's a short "OTW is a FREAK" story:

I've always been a fan of Victoria Secret (THE STORE--NOT THE WACKO SCHITZO ON GC) lotions, and I was very TRAUMATIZED when I found out they were going to discontinue the "Enchanted Apple" line. I ordered 5 bottles EACH of the lotion and the body spray. We don't have a VS store here in Hawaii, so I forced my best friend to go buy me some more in Las Vegas. My cabinet's filled to capacity with Enchanted Apple--I think I have a lifetime supply in my bathroom.

Givenchy's new one smells good too. It's called 'Hot' or 'One'??? It has raspberry in it so it smells yummie.

Thanks for the heads up Christina! I've been stocking up on Pear Glace and Strawberry Champagne for a while now so I should be ready by the time they discontinue it. The Navy Exchange here has some VS scents, but most of them are the new ones that have just been released.

They've been talking about opening a VS store here...and it's not like there's not enough room for it! It's been years since they first talked about bringing the chain down here and we have yet to see one! Rumor has it that Hawaii is a big money making state because of all the revenue we generate from shipping costs...and that's why they don't want the stores down here. How unfair is that?

Not freaky at all! I missed the ending of the Garden Mist and Lavendar lines, so when they were closing the Blushing Rose, I stocked up like crazy, I even went to three different stores!

I love this perfume but it is only sold in Mexico called Cancun.

Cologne wise I use Joop, Drakar, or Polo Sport. One of my brothers has a closet full of mens cologne so he usually hooks me up.

As far as scents, I know this might sound weak but I like those little bottles of lavander, juniper, and certin oils you can pour in the bath.

I always loved Tresor by Lancome...but right now I wear Clinique Happy, I've been wearing it for two years....on the VS line it'll have to be Endless Love--I wear it on an everyday basis just for class or to go to the store, since I don't wanna waste my clinique happy lol.

For guys, probably pleasures for men by estee lauder...but bottomline is, it's amazing how you can associate a certain fragrance to a special person, just coz you're so accustomed to them wearing that scent. I know this guy from high school who dated this girl who ALWAYS wore cK one...he said he hasn't seen her since sophomore year of high school and still, in college, he still can't forget that scent and can identify it anytime. Someone at a party wearing ckOne would pass him by and he would be greeted by all these memories of that certain girl,total de ja vu~...haha I'd love to have that effect on men someday!

My last boyfriend and I never wore scents until one day we decided to find something for each of us that turned the other on. Voila! There was something about the 3 of these that made our skin crawl (in a good way). When I smell Pi, even if I don't know the person, I HAVE to get closer to them to smell it. It has 3 distinct scents, depending on how close you are.

I would KILL for that smell, (well almost).

Hmmm... wish I had some to smell right now (or at least someone to smell it on) ;)
