request for Alpha Love and good thoughts
 

Sisters, my grandmother was admitted to the hospital last night with a blood clot in her lung. The doctors are putting her on blood thinners, and want to keep her there until Thursday or Friday. My Nana has a smorgasbord of health problems including Alzheimer's and depression, and she is not handling this well. Someone needs to spend the night with her so that she doesn't try to leave. My father is spending the night with her tonight, and I am going home for a bit to stay with her. I am asking for all of you to keep my family and my Nana in your thoughts and hope that she gets out of there soon.

I got word from cuteASAbug that Nana is at home, and cuteASAbug will be spending the next two days with her. She doesn't have internet, but she'll text me with any updates. Go Nana!

I'll let her add details if she wants to, but cuteASAbug needs thoughts and prayers for her health right now.:(

Update: cuteASAbug is being admitted to the hospital for dehydration. She can't keep anything down, not even liquids.

Yikes! Please keep us informed.

I just talked to her...they think she'll be at the hospital until Monday. They're trying to do a CAT scan, but she can't keep the fluid for it down. They're giving her IV fluids, but just as I was talking to her, her IV was backing up. She sounded tired, but still in good spirits.

I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!!! :D

I finally got discharged today and am so excited and happy to be out of the hospital and to take a hot bath and get to sleep in my own bed. Thank you to everyone who's been thinking of me these past two weeks. And to all of my sisters, thank you for all of your support, cards, flowers, and phone calls. It meant more to me than you will ever know. I couldn't be prouder or happier to call myself an Alpha Sig.

More prayers and thoughts are needed. cuteASAbug is in process of being re-admitted to the hospital.:(:( She is very sad to be in the hospital over Hanukkah.

I'm so sorry to hear that you are back in the hospital. Try to rest and regain your strength. My prayers are with you.

cuteASAbug is still in the hospital, and has been upgraded to puree foods. She's been doing PT, and is not sure when she will be able to come home. They've tried several different things, and so far, nothing has worked for her.

I'm so sorry to hear she's sick and especially at the holidays. Please send her warm thoughts and well-wishes!

I was discharged again yesterday! I am still slightly sick and am on bedrest but am so happy to be back home again! Thank you to everyone for all of your concern and good thoughts.
