AKA GRADUATE CHAPETER VS. UNDERGRAD HELP!!!
Hello, lovely ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha inc. i am an interested member of course of the most upper upper sorority in the divine nine. i would like to pursue the graduate chapter of course in my interest. i am an graduate of an fine institution and due to an inactive undergrad chapter at the time made my decision to pursue the graduate chapter more promising. however, i listen to other graduate chapter members in other organizations and they speak of the graduate chapter process as a waste of time. they make terriable remarks about how they pledge undergrad although they went through an graduate chapter. now to me i think that is a little too far with the whole notion of being true to your organization. i would like to know, do the undergraduate chapters look down on woman and man that became an member of an organization through grad chapter rather through undergrad??? i looked forward to dedicating my life to AKA in everyway, however i don't want to wear my letter jacket with my chapter letters followed by the omega letter to represent i went through an graduate chapter and recieve no respect and acknowledgment from any other undergradate chapter. i am much mature now than i was when i was in college. but i would love to wear my letters and represent my organization at the same time not looked as if i went the easy way into an organization. PLEASE HELP ME

Be sure to PM AKAs on the board with your information (Name, Location, the chapter your are interested in) so that they can help you in your pursuit. :) |
The link she sent you IS the answer. We refer all girls who come here asking about AKA to that post because we all know that they don't answer membership related questions. That's the info they provide in their individual forum for prospective members.

owt
thanks i guess. as far as common sense i have plenty, i know that owt loves aka.
|
Don't PM us!
KSUviolet's response is the reason why your thread will be CLOSED! |

oh KSUviolet thanks. wow so what is this greek chat for if people cannot asked any questions?? please tell me because i came across this website, because of my interest and i feel like i am back at the starting line again. what do i do? technically it is a general question for any organization.. its just that AKA is the way i am trying to pursue. now if you are able to answer the question in response to your organization. please feel free to do so, becaue the ones that i was speaking about actually are apart of other organizations.

It's where GREEKS chat!
LMAO!!!!! It's not greekwannabechat! :p We just let non-greeks in on our conversations, which 90% of them have NOTHING to do with GREEKDOM! ETA: NPHC forums, that is! |
your question was anything but general.
|
So was it a community college that counts as your fine institution? Because no college would let anyone graduate who writes like you.
I'm sure AKA would love to have you. (J/k laydees, love to AKA!) |
aka2d whatever.... you are mean. i was on google searching for one thing and this chat room came up as if it would be assistance to me. i came here asking things as a non-greek (yes) because i thought that is what this is for. what is a greek chat for? what talk about things everybody already know? wow like i said earlier. KSU if you could answer the question would be ok. apparently the AKA's are are keeping info to themselves.
|
Do you plug your posts into google's language translator before posting them on here?
|
well no actually, the fine UNIVERSITY that i did attend was an four-year school, in which i obtained my B.S with my M.B.A shortly to be accomplished too. so Alex you know what you can do.. but since we need to keep forums PG i will not say.
|
what?? who are you?? first let the record be known for ignorant people. i typed the message so quickly i dont know what i did or did not say. it is not that serious, get a life. i can tell that you don't because you are on a greek chat at 12am instead of getting ready for work. i came on here for answers. thanks a lot i can see none answered i am going to sleep.
|
You should definitely try for AKA. Ask a grad chapter member your questions - and phrase them just like you did here, with the same respectful tone and wonderful grasp of the English language. It will go over wonderfully and you'll be a member in no time. Everyone will love you, I'm sure.

Well, since you did attend a "university" and received your B.S. and M.B.A. then you should also know that reading is FUNDAMENTAL. My sorors do not answer membership questions on GreekChat regarding my sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Period. End of discussion.
The only person that is being rude is you. Where is your decorum? |

if what you have posted thus far is a reflection of your current level of maturity........ and how are you chastising us for being on GC at 11pm est instead of getting ready for work when you're here with us? just asking. and one more thing, you really don't want to see mean around here. it gets quite nasty. |
oh recruitment wow, i worked in that field. maybe we will see one another on the road or at 100 years celebration. to the DST, please don't be mad that I mention AKA instead of DST we all know that your founders Skee wee before the oo-roop

I can't answer that because I'm not an AKA and have no idea. I just have been on this site for a long time and I know how things around here operate. They're allowed to keep info to themselves. It's their choice. Every sorority has different things that they consider private or just not open for discussion. |

OMG you totally hurt the DSTs with that comment. They are seriously reconsidering their choice of sorority now that you said that. Not. |

Also, IBTL!! also, isn't this the point where someone asks, "___ ITY?" |
12d whatever the rest is. I know that KSU is not an AKA the question i attempt to asked was about do undergrad chapters respect member that donot pledge undergrad but instead pledge grad chapter. so if you mind your business instead of listening to your assumptions no ass of yourself would be made. UNSPOKEN what is up with you saying MY sorority?? Pleased I don't recall of seeing your name considered as a precious 20 pearl. This is an organization that is open to anyone that wants to be one in their heart. Its real funny you are giving me lip now, but once I am offical and financial it will be "Hello Soror". Man people in this greek chat is so fake. Grow up! Alpha Sigma Alpha>>>it appears we are closer than you think. Like I said I will see you Jan 12-15 2008 and in July 2008

and the fact that you, as an interest, are throwing shade on anyone, especially someone who has membership in a sorority, is hilarious. i've been on this board for 7 years and know full well how things work. you, by contrast, do not. humility and respect will get you far in your pursuit, but it's probably too late for that now. |

i seriously doubt your pipe dream will come true before that time. but it's nice to have dreams. isn't it?

thank you blackgolden girl. i thought it was. apparently i logged on and posted a thread on a night of lonely people sitting in their rooms doing nothing with nobody and feel like jumping on the new girl. well oh well love me or hate me i will still be here saying. do undergraduate chapters respect members of graduate chapters even though they never pledged undergrad???? some losers in this forum are taking my words and twisting them. the question i am asking IS general. its just that i am more interested in AKA. but at the end of the night its whatever. Wow Recruitment????? I loved to know what do you recruit for CuteASABug?
