How fun!! LOVE the photos.
I always loved the Iota house as it was so pretty and at Christmas especially so because of the Tudor style Maybe I am biased because I did visit it many times, betwen walkouts and observing recruitment there. The women were always so wonderful and welcoming. Other chapters were nice, but the Iota girls always treated us as if we were part of the chapter, rather than visitors from afar. Once, I had to sew a button back on my coat and 2 seniors took me up to their room, gave me the supplies, and we just hung out and talked--they were just so funny and friendly. On another occasion, a few of us were in Champaign for the weekend, stopped by to say hi, and the weather was bad, so the Iota girls begged us not to drive back to our school in the snow. We left because we had to get back, but it was very nice they showed so much concern. I have a special place in my heart for Iota and have many Iota friends! |

Sigh.....Sigma's house
Ah, how I miss the Sigma house! It was designed by an architect for his bride who was an AOII. In all windows in the foyer, you can see an A (peaked arch), an O (curve arch just below it) and a II (the window frame). Each of the rooms has a name and a great story....I lived in both 3-girl and Garden (where, on a clear day, you could see 4-5 of the Bay Area bridges, but you could ALWAYS see the Golden Gate).
