I am disgusted by my Giants.

Really, its ok to close, but did they HAVE to lose to the Cowboys? The Cowboys? They play worse than my 8 year old cousin, and the Giants lost to them!!!!!!!!

AHHHHHH!!!! I think I might be on the lookout for a new team to root for. The Giants are going downhill, plus Tiki (who i'm not too happy with right now..lol) isn't playing anymore.

What's up with him putting Coughlin on blast anyways? I am not feeling that...if you are retired fine...if u wanna talk all that mouth come back suit up and go play for another team....

That reminds me...is anyone aware that Ricky "I quit to go smoke joints' Williams is trying to come back.....again.

I don't know, he probably thinks that he's all "big and bad" because he retired in his prime and he was so popular. I'm upset about him talking sheet about Coughlin, but i'm more mad about what he said about Eli Manning.

Really, it makes him look bad to talk so much sheet about his team. And to say that half way through his last season he just "gave up" wtf? How do you think that makes the fans feel?

Exactly, if he was that unhappy or didn't feel the team was run the way he wanted, he should have left. He could have played with Ronde, or Peyton, or anyone else.

yeah..he kinda comes off as smug to me...

Any Houston fans out there? Schaub had his coming out game...any thoughts?

KDAngel 09-10-2007 03:29 PM

Gooo Redskins!!

I just got into the NFL last year after the guy I was dating made Sunday, snuggle on the couch and watch football all-day day, so that in return I could get him to watch every girly show during the week that I wanted to watch.

I didn't really have any favourites last season as I was just trying to figure the game out and get into it, but I like the Cowboys merely because of the cheerleading show on CMT. But now that I've graduated and taken a job in DC, I'm trading my alliance into the Redskins. I mean I get free tickets to the games from my lobbying firm, I may as well sell-out before I can actually be considered a sell-out.

And with that said, I was thoroughly pleased with the Skins yesterday. I was lead to believe that they wouldn't win, and they were quite fun to watch. I can't wait to get into this season. :) (Oh, sorry for the book!!)

DeltAlum 09-10-2007 03:31 PM

Broncos take the lead for the first time in the game with 0:00 left on the clock. Field Goal team gets on the field, set and execute the winning kick with only :11 seconds on the clock and no time outs.

Best wishes and hopes for a full recovery for Bills Kevin Everett who suffered a potentially paralyzing spinal injury.

Animate 09-10-2007 04:01 PM

The Patriots looked like they were the 49ers on Madden 96.

I'm waiting to see what the Cardinals do tonight.

macallan25 09-10-2007 04:14 PM

Uhhh......the Cowboys are damn good this year. If Terrence Newman would have been playing last night it wouldn't have even been close. He might be the best corner in the league, at least top 3. Plexico Burress would have been shut down.

Yeah, that is what every Cowboys fan say every year. When the Cowboys got T.O. all I ever heard (from family and friends) was how the Cowboys were going to shut down everyone else, because T.O. was suppose to be this great athlete. Yeah...umm, what happened there?

If the cowboys do good this year, good for them.

he's gonna be partially paralized

^^^^ His full range of motion is at best risky according to ESPN reports.

Was at the Seahawks game and got nervous sitting in Heaven where it was soooooo loud. I had to get outta there.

What was the Charger's score?

How about Ocho cinco?

Thrillhouse 09-11-2007 01:01 AM

Fricking eagles muff a couple of punts deep in their own territory to lead to a packer win.

THIS IS WHY I HATE SEEING GAMES LIVE!!!!!!!!!

Ocho who?

His celebration was lame...LAME

and despite all the turnovers in the 1st quarter, the Ravens should have taken the game into overtime...but NNOoooooo....the refs didn't review the PI that wasn't when Heap caught the TD in the endzone...that there was bullcrap.
What make me wince in agony...

1. Klye Boller went in

2. With both Musa Smith and MacGehee...why not pound the ball into the endzone?

Despite all the errors, at least we kept the game close....next week we are gonna take our agressions out on the Jets....and Chad better not play or he can say goodbye to his shoulder.

TonyB06 09-11-2007 09:15 AM

My Bengals showed up!!!! actually the Defense showed up.

Ocho Cinco is the best thing to happen to the No Fun League in many years.

Baltimore had their shots. After the suspect offensive pass interference call Baltimore got a p.i. call which gave them first and goal on the five with about 1:45 left on the clock. On fourth down, Boller hit Heap with the pass in the endzone and dude dropped it, so Baltimore had their chances.

I thought Chad's Hall of Fame Jacket was great. Creative, gave the fans in the stadium what they wanted. Tony Kornheiser called it lame, but two segments later he had it up in the booth, wearing it. So, it couldn't have been too bad, now could it?

Ocho, let the critics throw shade, it's what they do... just keep running that stick route and scoring them touchdowns!!!

it WAS Lame...but it's partly the No Fun League's fault too....

But still with all the turnovers, the Bengals should have outscored us last night.

Who-Dey!

Good ol' Chad always has some celebratory trick up his sleeve...even if it was an oversized linen blazer. (Which is all you could see from the stands.)

To quote TonyB, yes the Defense (or B-fense) was in FULL EFFECT! Especially since, at times, the offense was having a tea party and invited Miss InComplete Pass to drink too.

Bengals definitely should've put more points on the board, but at the end of the day it remains the same- WhoDey.

madmax 09-11-2007 02:30 PM

This will be Kordell McNabbs last year with the Eagles.

tell 'em 'bout it, girl!! :)

do you know if Chad is doing his comedy thing at the Improv in Covington on Tuesdays again, this season?

As you know the Bengals are coming up to Cleveland to wreck shop on the Browns this Sunday. I'm thinking of going to the game.

Who Dey? Who Dey?? :)

What happened there? TO led the league in TD receptions and the Cowboys were a botched Field Goal hold away from going deep in the playoffs. Pretty sure that's what happened.

You're talking like the Cowboys are some run of the mill football team....it's kind of humorous.

The Cowboys are a legitimate contender this year for the Super Bowl. They probably weren't last year or in the las few years. That happens with dominant franchises. There are up and down years. The last two years they have been on the up.

They may be legit contenders but will they win? When is the last time an NFC won?

U really can't even say the Bucs because Gruden knew his old team...so......what was it....the Rams?

Good question....this could be the year. The Cowboys have an excellent offense, a mammoth offensive line, and a very strong defense when they are all healthy. Barring injuries, this could be a very good year.

Well Terry Glenn going down early isnt helping much...I sure hope this isn't the end this year because he was on a roll last season

I have faith in TO, Crayton, and Whitten.

Cane94G8r97 09-12-2007 05:07 PM

I am a long suffering Miami Dolphins fan. I have no words other than... I am still suffering :-)

yangstar 09-12-2007 06:24 PM

Chargers weren't dazzling [their defense was], but they got the big W over those Bears. I still can't get over the Eagles losing to the Packers like that, gah. And as far as all things go, despite the fact that I've always been a Chargers fan and that naturally makes you hate all AFC West teams, I have a great deal of respect for Jason Elam, who is mad clutch. That guy hits em all, yikes.

As far as the Patriots go, despite the fact that I love the Red Sox to death, I just can't be a Pats fan. That whole cheating thing, I really don't know what to make of it. And after their showing against the Chargers last year, I've lost all respect for that organization. You can say what you want to the media [hardly anything and try to sound respectable] but I just don't know anymore. Chargers will stick it to them Sunday night, you'll see. :]

I'm def not a Pats fan, but . . . seriously?

Cheating:
-Stealing signals happens, all the time, every sport . . . the Pats were prob a little brazen, and got caught. Don't think they're the only ones doing it . . .
-Which is worse: stealing signs, or 4 games for steroid use? Harrison got caught, too (but never failed a test), but that's my whole point - this isn't unique to the Pats. Your bolts are in the same boat, and maybe worse . . .

AFC playoffs:
-So it's fine for Merriman to do it on his own, but bad when people make fun of him? Just checking, I guess. I feel like all is fair game . . .

DaemonSeid 09-13-2007 07:56 AM

The Pats just got caught...and I still wonder how much Mangini knew about this when he was on thier payroll and just decided Sunday that he would chirp up.

I tell ya..Goddell has his hands full in less than a year on the job

DaemonSeid 09-13-2007 09:31 AM

From ESPN This cracked me up when I read it .. I needed a laugh today!

As news continues to develop regarding allegations that the Patriots spied on the Jets during Sunday's game at the Meadowlands, Page 2 tapped into its extensive network of sources to reveal further details of New England's espionage.

• In a marketing coup through stadium sponsor Gillette, all Gillette razors sold nationwide are bugged and outfitted with GPS devices.

• Each one of Asante Samuel's dreadlocks is a stick of dynamite.

• Laurence Maroney's gold teeth come from his apprenticeship under Jaws.

- Tom Brady can burn through locks with his smoldering eyes.

• The apostrophe in Donte' Stallworth's name is actually is a listening device.

• Vince Wilfork conceals a surveillance van underneath his jersey.

• Former wide receiver Reche Caldwell's eyeballs were actually surveillance cameras, but like his hands, they malfunctioned in the AFC Championship Game.

• Bill Belichick has hired Bill Belichick to maintain surveillance on Bill Belichick. (No one else can be trusted to handle such a sensitive assignment.)

• Belichick has the wives of 24 NFL coaches on his payroll.

• Defensive lineman Le Kevin Smith, offensive lineman Logan Mankins and wide receiver Jabar Gaffney are clearly using ridiculous aliases.

• Team bus equipped with smoke screen and oil slick devices.

• Adalius Thomas was signed from the Ravens to head New England's organized crime division.

• Ted Johnson knew too much, and we suspect Belichick had his memory erased.

• The entire Cincinnati Bengals' roster has been outfitted with tracking bracelets.

• An operative working inside the Dolphins organization executed Miami's trade for 37-year-old quarterback Trent Green.

• WR/DB/KR Troy Brown is a shape-shifter who can spy by becoming players on other teams.

• Tedy Bruschi is a superhero (but that's no secret).

• Wide receiver Wes Welker was signed primarily because he's able to fit in crawl spaces and doggie doors at opposing teams' headquarters.

In my fantasy league, Plaxico got the guy who played him 40 pts.

I have Randy Moss, and his 33 pts. helped me to victory.

how'd you get both? that's madd WR talent to have on one team?

how many in your league?
surpentine draft?
did you use an acquired draft pick (via trade) from a previous year?

no way two WRs that good should be on the same team....that is unless you're have like zero talent at the RB position?
