Fall Rush 2007

This thread is for posting how many associates each chapter's recruit for this fall's rush ( if you happen to hear of any in your area or from your home chapter ).

I know that UTC's Fraternity Recruitment is Sept. 9th-14th, so if I hear of Zeta Phi Zeta's totals I will post.

Tom Earp 09-08-2007 01:14 PM

LX Z Pittsburg State Un. have 7 with at least 3 more possibles.

JonoBN41 09-08-2007 05:46 PM

Good timing.

Got this today from the Rho at Florida Tech:

We now have 7 AM's officially they went though yesterday.
and as of this morning a total of 14 perspectives have accepted there bids

HONKY660 09-08-2007 08:42 PM

Rush is next week at the University of Texas-El Paso, but at the momment the chapter has about 30 prospective members. Possibly the largest AM class I have ever seen at my chapter. And they may still pick up more prospective members thru rush. Our rush chair did a good job of meeting people during summer orientation, and our chapters accolades in the past two years have given us the reputation as the best fraternity on campus. Best part about this new AM class is that the prospective members are doing most of the rushing for us, grabbing all of their friends and spreading the news about us. This would double our chapter size.

Delta Beta Zeta at Northeastern State in Tahlequah, OK picked up 26 men!!

EM1843 09-10-2007 07:31 AM

I believe Epsilon Mu at the University of Florida assosciated 25.

do you have a link to the magazine article?

Stlcop Got 14 which brings us up to 56 total. This beats our 5 yr goal of 55 in 4 years! Pretty good considering Stlcop is 60-65% female.

Tom Earp 09-18-2007 01:59 PM

Update from the High Alpha, LX Z Associated 19 new men.

JonoBN41 09-18-2007 05:02 PM

Tom, that's great to hear!

Tom Earp 09-19-2007 02:38 PM

Thanks Jono, maybe they are finally turning the corner there.

As you know so many of the Brothers of LX Z the same ones as Alums are still busting rears to work with them!

B N sounds like they are doing an outstanting job also!

Hooray for the Brothers in Melborne, Fl.:)

17 at Alpha Omega Zeta. We're hoping to get 3 more which would make this our largest class in years.

HONKY660 10-08-2007 03:55 AM

My chapter officially associated 21 great new men to our chapter. With a possability of associating a few more soon. Myself and another alumni have initiated a challenge for the chapter to get 30 AMs and we would sponsor an event for them of their choosing. We're hoping we'll have to fulfill our challenge.:)

lambda epsilon zeta - a-section at kettering university had 17 bids returned, putting a-section at approximately 50 members for next term.

this is the biggest we've been in decades and allows us to pull away as the biggest house on campus, the next largest is in the mid thirties.

Fresh from a trek to beautiful Normal, IL, for Illinois State's Homecoming, I can report that Beta-Omicron has associated 19 (possibly 20) men.

What struck me as unusual was the number of local recruits...I believe they had 5 guys from the Normal-Bloomington area, which is a throwback to my days as a UG.

Naturally, chapters experience an ebb & flow w/their recruiting - back in the dark ages of the mid-70's, we had a few guys who hailed from farm towns. This made it easy to have a hayrack for a Homecoming float

Most of the current Beta-Omicron chapter members come from the Chicago suburbs, so it's a lot harder to find somebody who'll go home, butcher a pig & bring it back for a pig roast (this sort of thing is frowned upon in the 'burbs). Ironically, all of the local roasters we tried to locate for this past weekend were spoken for, so we actually got one from the 'burbs.

In ZAX,
BF

Congratulation to B-O Zeta on the new associate members!

But I think you meant slaughter. Butcher is when you cut up an animal, and usually wrap the pieces individually. When we roast a pig, we go whole hog. :)

Suburban kid born & raised...guilty as charged.

Tom Earp 10-16-2007 02:04 PM

Still good eating either way!

uS.Carolina

My associate class of Fall 07 started out with 17 and 13 got initiated.

Tom Earp 01-05-2008 02:19 PM

LX Z initiated 11 from the fall class of New Associates.

Already have six in the wings for Spring recruitment which is always slow.

Not bad for a Zeta that 2 years ago had only one member and a house that we closed for demolation!:)

Congrautlations to all of the reporting Zetas and LXA continues to grow!

I found out tonight that 24-30 associates( of the original 60 ) are going through this week.

LXA_IO_794 01-16-2008 09:42 PM

congrats on the 24-30 associates. Iota Omicron Zeta had 12 associates in my class this past fall, and we initiated 7. We are looking forward to this coming Spring. Good luck to all with recruitment!

Robh88 02-07-2008 12:19 AM

Upsilon Zeta initiated 43 I believe, crossing the 2500 initiate mark

Tom Earp 02-07-2008 02:51 PM

Outstanding and congratulations.

Where is the zeta at?

That would be the national champion Louisiana State U. Great chapter there from what i heard from a friend who was a ZTA their. She loved LCA's she said.

AlphaOmega1258 02-14-2008 05:19 PM

Alpha Omega Zeta here at Ohio University associated I think 19 guys fall quarter. Of those 8 were initiated (I was one of them) on Feb. 1 and several are holdovers b/c of grades who are hoping to be initiated next quarter. We also have 7 new associates, not bad at all for winter quarter.
