The sweetest thing
What is the sweetest thing a guy(or girl) has ever done for you?
|
Kissed me under the mistletoe. That memory STILL curls my toes...
|
Surprised me with a single white rose on Founders' Day...he knows and loves me enough to know that the gesture meant the world to me. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Some unsolisited advice, if I may: don't wish your life away. (Hey, that rhymes). Just take each as it comes, and enjoy it for its own worth.

My exboyfriend was a doll on our six month anniversary. He picked me up and drove me out to this park where I worked. While we sat in the car, we talked and then he surprised me with a bottle of wine that had been engraved,'Best Wishes Amy and Derek 10-2-99'
Then we sat in the dark and sipped on the wine. After we had a glass he drove me to the Old Market area. There we walked around until we came upon the horse drawn carriages. He paid for the gentleman to take us on a ride around the Old Market while we snuggled under a heavy blanket. That was my dream date and he did it all for me. Wow...I miss him now. For our wedding anniversary a few years ago, my husband took our wedding album to the florist and had her duplicate the flowers in my bouquet in an arrangement. He's a wonderful guy but not usually very creative in the romantic department so I was really touched by the gesture :-)
|
Wow...KillarneyRose...that really was sweet!!!
|
Well...my ex-boyfriend (whom I had gone out with for 4 years) proposed...but I felt like I was too young (I'm only 18!!!!) to settle down so quickly and live a marriage. It was very sweet of how he planned it, and how much work he put in...but it just was not the right timing!!
|
one of my ex boyfriends did the sweetest thing! i was anticipating v-day for sooo long b/c he had told me 2 weeks before something about a present he was MAKING me! Anyway, It was a little book that is wrapped in this really soft material with dried flowers in the middle of the cover with glass over it, and the front page was a picture of us two that he had gotten made at Kinkos so it looks like it was painted with water colors.. inside are a bunch of sweet poems that he wrote, and the last page has a ton of little phrases that mean something to the two of us, and then a couple more pictures. I have never had a guy spend so much time making something for me like that! I still have it!

Wait in line from 12 AM Midnight until 11 P.M. the next day (that's right, 23 hours later!) in 10 degree weather, snow...all for getting me surprise playoff tickets http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif. I love my guy!
|
out of the blue one time, when I was having a really bad day, my boyfriend (now a loooong ago ex..) handed me this ornate bottle. In it were all these tiny little pieces of construction paper shaped like hearts, stars, etc.. He said "each one of these is a thought I had of you today..."
He sat there and cut all those darn things out!! It was so unbelieveable! |
Well, my boyfriend and I have been together for almost SEVEN YEARS now!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif Well, about a year after we had started dating he painted the border in his bedroom with the rasta colors; red, yellow, and green (he loved, and still likes, reggae). Then within the colored border he painted "I Love Chrissy" all the way around and dotted the eyes with soccer balls. (I love soccer...though I haven't played in years). Anyway, that was years ago. We were real young so it was cute then. I wouldn't want that now of course, but the memory is good. Around the same time he had made me a birthday cake (Chocolate on choclate) cut out into a number one and number eight and had eighteen soccer ball candles on it. He's quite creative. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Needless to say, we're still going strong. I just turned 24 on April 22 and he made my birthday as special as ever...yet again. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif
I just thought I'd share the whole painting of the walls thing since it was unusual and unique. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/cool.gif |

Shopgirl, that is simply AMAZING!!!! Lucky you!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif hehee.
Well, my bf Shawn, for our 6-mo. anniversary, actually made a small book, writing out every day we were together (from Nov. 2000) and listing under each date what he loved about me (different item listed each day!) I love him, even though we are going through a tough time right now. |
Hey Shopgirl! THanks for all the smilies, just looking at all of that made me feel better!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif LOL. Yes, there are ups and downs to every relationship...it's just too bad that there must be downs! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif Oh well, I guess human relationships wouldn’t be human if there were no downs, right? Still you are very lucky to have that “I love Chrissy” painting to treasure forever!!!
And Arizona fans rock!!! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Love, Newbie |
My guy and I have been together nearly 4 years, and we've had our share of ups and downs - but he's always a wonderfully sweet guy. Its the little things he does for me:
Sometimes at night, if I've been at his place, he'll walk me inside and when I go to wash off makeup and put on PJs, he'll pull my bed down and fluff up my pillows for me. Or if I'm at the computer working and all stressed, he'll give me a backrub. He even skipped his classes last wednesday when I fell down and hurt my back - he wanted to drive me to the doctor http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif Newbie: I hope things get better for you. I know its hard when a relationship gets wierd. Josh and I fought once our entire first year together - we were like magic together. And then things went downhill. But, we stuck it out, and now things are better than ever! We're even talking about finding a time in the future to talk about marriage http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif Just hang in there girl! It'll always get better *hug* |

Newbie: no problem, girl!
I've found that stress is toxic. to you, your life, everything. unfortunately, it took lots of fights between josh and me sparked over one of us being stressed to realize that. now, if one of us is feeling stressed and a bit "off" we give each other space for a few hours. It takes a bit of practice to learn how to manage stress without it affecting others, but once you do, you find that you make less stress for yourself in the long run |
Hey Juniorgrrl!
I'm hoping to e-mail you soon, I just tried to get into my email server, and I couldn't! Lots of traffic, I guess? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/confused.gif |
Newbie:
No problem, I'm busy as hell with some group projects and the end of the semester. When do you graduate? Soon, I would imagine... |
Whenever, I had surgery a few months ago my friends came to my house and we watched movies.. I thought it was sweet cause i couldnt go out.. So they came to me..
