Police confirmed the identity of victims aboard the crashed ISS when the shuttle hit....Cmdr Tank Johnson was pulled over when his shuttle was seen speeding 4 machs about the allowed interstellar limit. He refused to take a breathlyzer.

When I was in elementary school I entered a poster in an alcohol awareness contest. It was the shuttle with a beer bottle as the external tank (the big orange-red tank). I wrote a caption that said something like “Would astronauts drink and fly? Then why drink and drive?” or something like that. I won first place but now I feel like a fraud.

How sad, but maybe after all of the time that it took them to get there, they just had a few?:)

LMAO at the responses above!

I heard about this on the news this morning, but what I wanna know is... Who let them board a spaceship and take off?

Friends don't let friends fly drunk.

Is .8 considered drunk in outer space?

honeychile 07-27-2007 11:24 PM

They make the ones who forgot to bring their GLO pins do shots - or martiantinis.

DeltAlum 07-28-2007 07:16 PM

What is the rule?

No smoking for 8 hours before flying and no drinking within 50 feet of the aircraft?

Wait...

PrettyBoy 07-29-2007 12:11 AM

That's a damn shame.

all that space debris....imagine we find out that the real reason why Columbia crashed was due to them running over a stray toilet bowl from Soyuz or Skylab that they coulda easily missed.
