Good work, cuteASAbug. I love my state! Go PA!
|
Thank you sister! I didn't realize how many states had so many chapters in them (I thought it was just PA) until I actually typed the list out.
I want to also link all of the chapter websites on here, so if you know what your chapter's website is, please post it on here so I can link it. |

Thank you TSteven and ImmortalGoddezz. IG, do you know what the dates for Nu Nu's fall recruitment are?
|
I don't know the exact dates of formal rush, sorry. School starts late September so my best guess would be early october.
|
Alpha Chapter!!!!
September 7-10th. This is tentative though...not completely sure when Bid Day is. |
Thanks ASAalpha! I updated the list. Does your chapter have a website?
|
AARGH!!!! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THERE ARE NO COLLEGIATE CHAPTERS IN CONNECTICUT????? I'm gonna have to send my little legacy out of state for college....not that this is a bad thing...Go Seahawks...but I'm sure in 17 years I'll want her close to home :)
|
Sister dear, don't you know that she can start up a chapter? ;)
|
Beta Beta's recruitment is from Sept 13th and bid day is on the 17th.
Our website is http://www.geocities.com/alphasigspr...?1171259519640 Thanks for making this list :) |

Gamma Eta at Penn State
At Penn State University Park this year, Gamma Eta faces the usual nightmarish rush, competing with 22 other sororities for girls.
Penn State rush is a week earlier this year (still pretty late) with open houses starting Sept 18, then parties running through Preference Night on Sept 30, then Oct 1 is Bid Day. I counted once, and there are something like 49 parties the girls have to smile through (considering that there are 22 open houses alone). Penn State does this without any pictures or resumes, and mostly without recs. At least the weather is usually decent at that time of year - not so brutally hot as Southern rush. But the sororities are widely spread out between 3 different dorm areas, with ASA in the very southernmost corner (near town, which is nice) and the furthest sorority at least a half-mile away (and up a steep hill) which makes for a lot of walking. |
Any more updates?
|
Congratulations to our 15 new pearls at the University of Central Missouri!!!
|
I just heard from Sig Kap Angel that Alpha @ Longwood took 8 new members!!!

She said that freshmen can't rush in the fall, so it could have been informal.
|
add 20 for Beta Gamma!!!
|
Sorry to crash your thread, but LionTamer, reading your post brought back VIVID memories for me of rush at PSU. I was an Alpha Gam there (in the late-80s) and was already an active when DZ and Tri Sig came on campus and were the first chapters to move into East dorms. So at least I didn't have to trek all the way up there when I rushed -- I can't IMAGINE the hiking the women do today to get to all the suites! We rushed earlier in the semester back then too. Thanks for the walk down memory lane! AGD closed in 2001 there so I don't hear much about PSU rush anymore... :(
... and now I'll stop hijacking ya'lls thread ... :) |
Beta Beta is going through recruitment this weekend. So far it's going well... We shall see!
|
The Alpha Gamma chapter will hold recruitment during the week of September 17.
Good luck, Sisters!!!:D |
Hey - just noticed this mistake..the University of Delaware chapter is Delta Iota, not Delta Chi as you have listed up top!
Our chapter isn't doing informal fall recruitement this year....we took 44 beautiful new pearls in the spring! :) |

sorry about the mistake, I'll fix it now, welcome to GC sister!
|
congratulations to our 7 new pearls at Theta Beta- Roanoake!
|
Hi.
I was waiting for betasigrose to share her good news, but I don't think that she will mind me braggin' about our Alpha Gamma sisters. They made quota with FOUR NEW PEARLS:) It was a very successful rush for all involved with only one PNM going unmatched. There were very few infractions. COB is in full swing! |
Registration for Theta Epsilon starts tonight. Good luck ladies!!:)
|
Austin Peay's recruitment week was September 23 - 29th.
Zeta Omega had 17 new Pearls go through Phoenix! |
