Sorors and Sistergreeks/friends,

If this thread already exists somewhere in some form, what the heck... I'm starting a new one for 2007!

Because I'm impressed with my Sorors and friends who have multiple B.A.'s and M.A.'s -- let's post what we have. (I don't have what I want yet but I'm working on them! ;)

I have to add that this thread was inspired by SeriousSigma22. I have a B.A. in Economics and many graduate credits in Education, Special Education and Psychology.

I am a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated

I am a college professor with summers off, Thanksgiving week off, Spring Break week off, mid-December through late January off, a 2 day a week work schedule, my own office, college tuition for my children, full dental, medical, vision, retirement vesting and faculty housing benefits.

I recently got married on the beautiful island of Maui.

And my 4 year old autistic nephew is now holding full conversations and recognizes and loves going to the movies with his auntie (PRICELESS)

Aha! This is the response I was looking for! I meet SO many Sorors with all these multiple degrees just like you. I feel so dumb! :o

But then again, I can't be that dumb. I'll brag a bit more!!! I am successfully raising my children alone. On a teacher's salary I somehow manage to provide, give to charities and stay financial with my chapter too.

Don't you ever feel dumb or less than simply because someone has alot of education. I tell anybody in a minute that getting a Ph.D. was about endurance, not intellect. Not to say I'm stupid, but you have to have more than mere intellect to navigate the BS. You are doing a fine job at juggling multiple commitments which I struggle with. So be pRHOud of your efforts 'cause you deserve to brag and get credit for being YOU.

That is truly something to brag about, my godmother's nephew was autistic and full speech was not something he was able to acquire.

working on my Masters of Liberal Studies with a concentration in ethnic and minority studies (I will finally be free by summer '08)...

gainfully employed by the Social Security Administration...

seven golden years of unbroken financial and active service to my dear SIGMA... with this past sorority year being the ONLY year that I have not been an e-board member since I joined...

and I'm cute. ;)

I have to add that little BlueReign just got her state assessment scores today. She is in the top 20% for the state and for math she is in the 90th percentile nationally. :) :) :)
