Hello Sigmas, Philos, and Rhoers!

It is finally official, I am a Philo!!! Our Chapter made history this weekend, because we are the 1st Atlanta Chapter of Philos. Thanks to all of the lovely ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho, who answered my questions during my research on this organization, and a Big Shot out to my Philo Summerrain, who has just been the sweetest! I feel the love and sisterhood already, and I KNOW that I made a great decision!

Hey Philo MsCoCo81!

It's about time. I was wondering when we were going to hear from you again. Congrats to you and your chapter! How many of you were inducted? I was recently appointed the position of Philo Advisor for my chapter (Alpha Eta Sigma, Philadelphia Alumnae) so I am working hard to reactivate our chapter's Philo Club this sorority year. So far we have 5 women who are interested and I am planning an interest meeting/social in the coming weeks so I'll keep you posted. Congrats again!

We had 4 inducted and 1 was a transfer from Ohio. I appreciate the love and am glad to hear that you were looking to hear from me again. It has been a journey finding the right ladies, but we have a good group, and we more than expect to grow. Atlanta is a big City, & We know that there are some ladies looking for an opportunity to belong to something that will help them make a difference in there communities. Good Luck on the reactivation of your Philo Chapter. Let me know how it goes, and maybe you can send me some info on how you get the word out for your interest/social meetings.

I cant say thank you enough to the ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho. The Love in UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I am looking forward to Boule '08! Im also looking forward to our founders day events this upcoming weekend.

That is ok, I just appreciate the love, and there is so much of it. I met a Sigma in Target. I went up to her & introduced myself, and she was so warm & receptive. I know that I made the best decision, and I am excited for my daughter to grow up in this environment. Since I don't have any sisters, & she wont have any sisters (My hubby & I have a son also, but that is all) & my husband doesn't have any sisters. She will at least learn the art of sisterhood through the Philos and the advising Sigmas. I feel great about this decision for so many different reasons, but that is one of the ones that really makes me feel good. Learning that women CAN get along, we CAN be on the same page & have the commonality, & we can make things happen!

This thread has been inactive for a while so I thought I'd give it some life.

I just want to welcome and say congrats to the 9 young ladies inducted on Saturday, February 20, 2010 into the Alpha Eta Sigma Rhoer Club.

The induction and reception were beautiful, parents were emotional, and the ladies are sooo excited and ready to represent the Rhoer Club and get to know their big sisters.

Oh and they received lots of gifts...spoiled already.:)

Congrats to the new Philos of the Alpha Eta Sigma (Philadelphia Alumnae) Chapter. On Saturday, March 20, 2010, 5 beautiful and talented women were inducted into our Sigma Philo organization, reactivating the Alpha Eta Sigma Philo Affiliate. All are relatives (including my mommy) of chapter sorors and two are mothers of Rhoers.

It was a beautiful day, I know they will do great things, and I am so proud to be their advisor.

Congrats again ladies!
