Has anyone ever participated in a FLASHMOB?
 

I've been looking at vids on you tube and was wondering if any of you out there have participated in the silliness. It actually looks like fun...:)

...but I did see one on Law & Order or CSI being investigated because one of the participates was murdered.......


But they do look like fun. I don't have the time, I'm busy catching up on my murder/cop/science/law/mystery shows.

it is - really insane!

I went to an N train party (yellow line - from queens through manhattan via Broadway to Brooklyn) and you had to dress up as something that started with "N."

me and my friend were unsure how serious a matter these things are, so we just showed on at 8th street and waited for the train to come. We get on the train and the "host" says "cool, i get it!"

and we say, "get what?"

"your costumes - you're nigerians right?" mind you we are wearing regular street clothes.

:mad: its ok we were good sports about. i mean he couldve picked worse...

Wow..but he ment no harm. I guess American-ized Nigerians is what he had been exposed to..? Well, I hope you guys had fun :)

I found one for next month here in SF:D

I just watched the UC Berkley one and it looked hilarious. I duno what I would do if a bunch of people started randomly doing that. Theirs was a Ninja War. It kinda resembled a TRUTH ad though.

Sounds like fun, but I had to laugh when I read this part of the invitation--

"Please bring only pillows filled with natural materials (like cotton, hemp, and down) and not synethetics which will wash into the Bay and harm marine life, thank you"

My sister lives in San Francisco and it sounds like something she would say!

I chuckled too but then I remembered we just had an oil spill:mad: in our beautiful bay that killed some wildlife.

My personal take, the little kids were the best.:p It was SO MUCH FUN! I laughed the entire 2 hours I stayed. Even though the rules stated:
Don't hit people with cameras--yeah right. I got hit on the butt a few times. No worries. There was so much down on the ground and in the air, it looked like it was snowing and yes, people made snow angels. Next year, I will bring a pillow:p

So a friend of mine new to the SF area was unable to make this so-called pillow fight. Boo! I was looking forward to his take on it all. Sounds likes fun. I wouldn't put myself in the middle of it though. I'd be on the sidelines. :D

I used to think that too but the fun is infectious. If I didnt have a camera with me, I would have been swiping at people too. I will say the "hardcore fighters" were in the center and everyone else was on the outside of the circle. A lot of people tossed their pillows so if you came without a pillow, you could grab one off the ground OR you could grab a pillow case and fill it with the down that was on the ground.

I actually have participated in one. It was on a smaller scale, but yes. =)

It was on my campus. We have a really large intersection and during one of the crossing points, around 70 of us darted from everywhere and had a pillow fight in the middle. It was a lot of fun.

I hope they plan more coming up! I would do it but I don't have the time.
