Is GC dead?

Did everybody go somewhere else?

EM1843 06-26-2007 07:35 AM

I've been feeling like that too. I know another board was started but I'm not going anywhere.

Ottor 246 06-26-2007 08:10 AM

I'm still here...I just have nothing to say.

john1082 06-26-2007 08:35 AM

The undergrads are out of school.

Normal cycle.

Summertime is dead around here.

Then in August/September we get the usual:

Party themes
Introduction posts
Fall rush suggestions
Fall rush numbers
New ebay items
Policy changes
My quarterly post that pisses everyone off
Paed. or C and C release
New facts or trivia

HONKY660 06-26-2007 01:34 PM

After some of you all had it out with people here on GC, I thought everyone left.

GammaZeta 06-26-2007 01:43 PM

Honky, I think we are in the same that we rarely, if ever, go to the other parts of this forum.

Yes, there have been some incidents with members of other organizations speaking badly about some brothers.

However, our little LXA community is as strong as ever. All the negativity has come from other areas of the website, not from within the brotherhood.

I was sure that that post came more often than quarterly...

GammaZeta 06-26-2007 02:07 PM

OOooohhhhh you're funny.

eli_the_chopper 06-26-2007 04:29 PM

I'm here, also with nothing to say...

See y'all in Memphis.

PiLambda1 06-26-2007 06:22 PM

I've been preparing for our August "By-Law" Revision retreat. Anyone have any suggestions for 'fun laws' - I like renaming all the non-HZ offices into sexual references...

Our NAFD chairman is hereafter referred to as High Pertension

Tom Earp 06-26-2007 06:29 PM

Guess there is not alot to say one way or another?

Ottor 246 06-27-2007 07:45 AM

I agree with Albert. GZ, you can piss us off anytime.

By-Laws: A brother from my chapter once (late 80s-early 90s) sat for his composite picture in a blue and white plaid leisure suit (while everyone else was wearing formal blue or gray jackets.) This prompted a by-law that this particular brother had to have his wardrobe approved by exec before ensuing years' composite pictures were taken.

Just remember Ottor, a wise man once said:

"It is better to be pissed off, than pissed on."

Tom Earp 06-27-2007 02:55 PM

A sage, by any other name is well, just a sage!:D

dever860 06-27-2007 06:18 PM

New 40 hours job... Must work so I can still talk to you all next quarter.

Ottor 246 06-28-2007 09:38 AM

GZ,

Somebody is bound to piss me off from time to time. I'd rather that it's you instead of somebody I don't like.

Tom Earp 06-28-2007 03:42 PM

Never say I will never move and stay where I am!

Moved 7 times in seven years, now, I am not going anywhere.

But options are open.

Depends on a better deal or an option as I said.:D

GammaZeta 06-28-2007 04:03 PM

Tom, what?

LXA grits 06-29-2007 12:23 AM

I'm here, too. I'm back home from the summer, and spending a great deal of "short-distance" time with my, usually long-distance, girlfriend. I enjoy breaks from graduate school...they are much needed and greatly appreciated. Also, I'm spending some time "geocaching" this summer...

Yours in Z A X ,

Hmmm... unless you're into that sort of thing.

I guess this happens every summer.

john1082 07-19-2009 03:03 AM

No explanation - but it is summer break
