My son is a WoW basement troll!!!!

He is a lvl 70 something or other...his character name is "teddi bear" (if I remember right).

All I know is I pay the $15 each month...and got in a hsitload of trouble with him when the Blizzcon tickets sold out before I could get them for him!

The convenience is all I have to do is throw some food downstairs every so often and the 15 year old troll leaves me alone for days on end :) in the summer.

I will never understand the whole WoW thing. I have some friends that have tried to get me to play. I would honestly, rather read a book.

Or go outside, like, into the world.

Please don't let your son get that sucked into this. Psycho ex is/was exactly like this and he has no sense of what reality is.

I've been playing WoW since shortly after the initial launch. good stuff. Started with a 60 rogue. Now I mainly play my shaman that is almost level 70. I have countless other "babies". Like my other rogue thats 54. 2 priests that are around level 45, a hunter thats around level 30 and a few single digit characters. Hey I like it a lot.

Don't worry we control it carefully. Thank goodness for parental controls. We turn it on and off.

I joke about his worse days. But he is a good student, plays sports, is active in boy scouts, etc etc.

He has a level 70 rogue....some elf thing, "another character I am building" etc. He just traded "200 gold" for $40 with a friend of his. (seriously, there is a crew of 5 of them that spend the night at a friends house -parental supervised- like a geek poker game playing marathon Wow)

I guess it's better than being out on the town getting drunk/high and making babies.. but haven't the grades taken a turn for the worse?

Not any worse than B's. AND he has to play football to keep me paying for WoW.
