I also got 17...and my arms do swing that way! ;) Call it years of musical theatre I guess-but I remember making sure we didn't look like robots in rehearsals.

I guess I should have been more spesific, I don't swing my arms when I walk. I either lightly touch my thighs, or sometimes my tummy (if I don't have something in my hands).

Thinking of how the horse's legs move at a trot - and then thinking of how to get on the right beat, and then how human arms would move while "trotting". I told you, I think it's weird, but I did get the question right.

Don't worry, I got your reference. I remember my very British instructor yelling over and over "Sit a beat, sit a beat!!".

I always remember that bump BUMP you'd have to take to get back on the beat . ..

Yes, I'd much prefer if English riding dictated that you took the extra beat up in the stirrups, instead of down in the saddle.

Did you ever do any vaulting?
