Storybook Mural?

Two of my friends are having twins! It looks as if they're expecting a boy and a girl, due in early October.

Since the daddy-to-be is an artist (amateur but very good), they want to put a mural on the one wall, one that contains a lot of characters from books and the alphabet. So, I thought it could be fun if you all made suggestions. These should be characters from books which you feel that (at least one of) the twins should read at some point.

It would be like:

A = Amelia Bedelia
B = Bambi
etc.

Suggestions?

W = Wild Things (i.e. Where the Wild Things Are)

That is the only one off the top of my head. I'll think about it throughout the day though and post what I come up with.

Wow, that could look very busy! He may want to stick to one artist... I believe there is a Dr. Seuss book out there that's all letters and numbers. He could illustrate those on the wall.

LOL - that's what I said! He plans to do this more as a "chair rail". I'm not able to completely picture it, but he says it will be like a large A then a picture of Amelia Bedelia, then a large B etc.

c = courdroy the bear
s = stuart little
