Real World Las Vegas: Reunion

I watched the hour special. I think this is gonna be real interesting.

What's up with Arissa? She still looks troubled.

Stephen looks better with the short hair.

I love Alton. :p

Trishelle is such a bleach blonde and she looks better now than she did then. But I still don't think she's pretty without all of the makeup and stuff.

Senusret I 05-20-2007 12:36 PM

Aw man! I gotta watch this!

ziasha07 05-20-2007 02:00 PM

When does it come on?

tld221 05-20-2007 02:23 PM

i never watched that season (stopped watching RW after Hawaii) and

1. i feel caught up after they showed all the important clips
2. kinda feel like MTV is scraping the barrel now with this "reunited" mess
3. feel like time has flown by: has it really been 5 years?
4. think this is the only season that all 7 cast members agreed to come back.

BlessedOne04 05-20-2007 03:52 PM

My best friend informed me that Las Vegas was one of my favorite RW's!! I totally forgot about RW especially since becoming hooked on Top Model and Greys Anatomy. I may have to give this show a chance.

A lot of people have said this. I think that's why MTV is doing the reunited.

I also loved the original RWs. But I'm sure it will be difficult to get a bunch of 30 and 40 somethings from the first 3 seasons to do a reunited.

PeppyGPhiB 05-21-2007 02:17 AM

I think Las Vegas was the season when RW started running downhill. The Hawaii season was when it jumped the shark, but Vegas sent it screaming down the hill. I don't get why MTV thinks we need a reunion of the cast...most of them have been on one of the RW/RR Challenge shows, and Trishelle's even been on Kill Reality and Surreal Life.

I would love to see the original NY cast reunited. Kevin, Becky, Julie, Eric, Heather B, Andre, and Norm (I heart gay Norm)...everybody else I could give a rip about. Back then, it was a big deal because we were all waiting in anticipation for Eric and Julie to finally hook up. These days it's mandatory to sleep with at least 2 castmates each night.

I know it'll most likely be impossible considering where some of them are in their lives now, but one can only hope, right? I miss "real" reality TV. :(

The NY cast was the best one. But I'd be a bit disturbed if they cared enough to do a reunion show.

It was a big deal when we were waiting for a hookup in the original casts. It was more of the real world. They had their own jobs and lives, but were just strangers living together. Now, MTV makes them work together and makes sure they get enough whores and basket cases to create some drama.

I see Kevin on all types of shows and in magazines. He's great. Heather B never made it that big but I liked a few of her songs.

I agree. I loved watching them. I also wouldn't mind a San Francisco reunion, but only to see how that one couple ended up... I can't remember their names! It was the guy who reminded me a little bit of a serious Tom Hanks, and the Asian doctor. They were cute. But it wouldn't be the same without Pedro. :(

I think their names were Judd (the cartoonist) and Pam (the doctor).

Cosign about Pedro.

nikki1920 05-21-2007 11:41 AM

Judd and Pam got married.

MTV: please let RW go. It's past its prime. But do a reunion with the original cast, please, I wanna know how many kids Julie has now.

PeppyGPhiB 05-21-2007 12:24 PM

My favorite seasons were London and Miami. London had the lowest ratings of the early RW shows, but I loved the crazy mix of characters in that house. It was that season that made MTV decide to give them jobs; the Americans in London couldn't legally work while there, so they sat around too much, which MTV thought was boring.

The Miami season was the first in which the "job" concept was introduced, but MTV told the housemates that they had to start a business together...didn't give them direction as to what the business should be, so they spent the whole five months arguing about what the business should be. I still don't know what they decided on. But what made that season fun was the cast...great casting.

I thought so too. I'm waiting to see when & why she & Irulan have it out. They hinted at an altercation at the end of the show but I can't figure out what "issues" they have with each other.

Don't forget about Rachel and Sean (Boston). They got married, she spat out some kids, he ran for office (mayor, I think) in his Wisconsin town and won.

WVU alpha phi 05-21-2007 05:53 PM

I watched the Las Vegas season but wasn't a big fan, probably because I couldn't stand Trishelle's sluttiness (but was also jealous cuz she got to be slutty with Stephen :p). My favorite casts by far have been Seattle (I thought Nathan was HOT) and San Diego. I'd love to see a reunion for either one, San Diego is probably too recent though.
Still probably going to watch the LV Reunion series anyway, I have to give every Real World season a shot.

Laak 315 05-21-2007 06:24 PM

key west was the worst season by far

i liked paris and san diego

ASUADPi 05-21-2007 08:02 PM

I actually liked Las Vegas and I really liked New Orleans, mainly because sheltered Julie really "grew up" on that show.

I think in general though that RW is getting stupid. Every season is basically the same. They always cast the "sorority type" girl (whether she is greek or not, but I mean the stereotype of a sorority girl), the "gay guy" and then just basically beautiful people. To me that isn't real.

Obviously they want ratings by doing a reunion show with LV.

I think London and NY2 were sleepers too. Although, that girl with too much eye makeup was interesting.

My faves:

NY the Original
San Francisco
Boston
Miami
LA--Beth A.? Not the gay Beth. She was boring.
Las Vegas

Sucked
Hawaii
Seattle --the slap heard around the world
Chicago
Houston
San Diego
Colorado
NYC2
Paris and London

TotallyWicked 05-21-2007 11:17 PM

When is this coming on? I didn't care much for the season (so much drinking and partying gets boring after a while, I think this season was the blueprint for the next seasons) when it first came out, but it's a goldmine compared to the current seasons...I never liked Arissa or Irulan, so if they have it out, I wanna see it

NinjaPoodle 05-23-2007 01:24 PM

Laak 315 05-23-2007 03:06 PM

yeah when every single episode revolves around partying, etc...it tends to get old real fast...that being said, having it in Vegas, what would you really expect?

divainred 05-24-2007 04:11 PM

I really liked Irulan and Alton as a couple and although I know both of them have moved on, would love to see them realize that they still love each other and want to try again (sorry, I'm cheesy & sappy like that).

Wolfman 05-31-2007 03:05 PM

I really loved the RW when it first started. The NY RW was the best; it was about the depth of human interactions. Now, it's like "College Kids Gone Wild." It's one step above Jerry Springer; it's not interesting, it's actually very childish--and sad.

epchick 05-31-2007 04:45 PM

I really am excited for this new Real world Las Vegas reunion season, but the only thing that concerns me is why would Brynn agree to do it and leave her 2 kids behind? I dont know how long they are going to do this reunion season, but if it is the same length as all the real world (around 5 months) then that's long time to leave a baby and a toddler.

I heard that Arissa and Irulan had a falling out because Irulan put Arissa in the middle of her and Alton's relationship, but that is what i understood from watching the previews of upcoming shows.

Still BLUTANG 05-31-2007 04:56 PM

it's just 2 weeks.

macallan25 05-31-2007 05:24 PM

I liked the Austin Real World because we got to talk shit to all of those douchebags every time they came out to the bars. (Notice how the only bar they were ever shown at was the Dizzy Rooster......not a coincidence......probably the worst bar on 6th, so nobody really gave a crap if they were in there.)

Thank god! This show needs to go away. Really.

yeah i agree with yall Irulan why she worried bout somethin that happened 3 years ago get over it

delph998 05-31-2007 08:50 PM

Just watched the first episode online and it was pretty deep.

Ditto.

I'm with Arissa so far.

TotallyWicked 06-01-2007 01:45 AM

I actually liked the first episode

I really want to root for Arissa, she obviously wants to move on, but she gets back to her childish ways immediately, but I blame Irulan for that, she was aways clique-y to me, now she's just ostracizing Arissa

I really wish Irulan and Alton would've tried harder to get in touch with Arissa and get some closure as opposed to waiting til they got on national tv to bring back stuff that is four years old  Not that I'm not enjoying them being at odds, makes for good tv

 at Trishelle acting civilized and not f*cking the first night

Looks like Frank knows what can get him camera time and he's going to pull anything for that.

Why couldn't they get the Back to NY cast to do this, it was MUCH better than LV, I really want to see Nicole and Malik again :( Better yet, the New Orleans cast in post-Katrina NO, or Boston's 10 year? OR of course, the first NY, I'm a huge fan of Kevin Powell, and would like to see him in that sort of situation again! eh wishful thinker; I must accept that Real World is doomed, i guess I should see this Reunited stuff as a sigh of relief from the current seasons.

epchick 06-01-2007 03:45 AM

For some reason Trishelle's "non accent" bothers me. I know she's an actress and that she probably worked to get rid of her accent. But I liked her like that. She was Trishelle from Louisiana, not this blonde bimbo.

DSTCHAOS 06-02-2007 10:05 PM

Trishelle's supposed to be pretty or something?

KDAngel 06-07-2007 10:42 AM

Arissa bothers me... she has issues and just doesn't look pulled together or something now. I don't know.

I like the show in theory, and I'll watch it when I'm bored, but I won't miss it when it's gone.

SSS1365 06-07-2007 04:01 PM

I'm pretty annoyed with Irulan. I'm glad she forgave Arissa or whatever, but it's kind of ridiculous how she threw a tantrum when she found out she was supposed to have dinner with Alton. If she was totally over him, it wouldn't be a big deal. That was just totally immature on her part.

Senusret I 06-07-2007 04:04 PM

^^^ I agree.

And Alton is totally hiding something.

That was my thinking too, I've faithfully watched every Real World, Road Rules and Challenge since the beginning. BUT i've finally drawn the line. I sat down last night to watch two episodes I had taped of the LV Reunion and after Trashelle sashayed in with her "hi boys" in the lobby and then Arissa said "Irulan looks so cute, I just wonder we're going to have it out" that was it for me! I hit delete and I'm not looking back!

(until the next new season starts :D)

lovelyivy84 06-07-2007 07:22 PM

I watched the first one and will probably watch others, lol. My main observations are that Arissa DESPERATELY needs to eat something, because she is looking seriously skeletal and ALton was, is, and probably always will be a dirty dog.

Ten/Four 06-07-2007 08:09 PM

The first two episodes were filled with drama (just how I like it) ;). I liked this cast so I'll probably watch the rest. Byrnn really grew up. And I love Irulan's hair cut.
