No...my point is that it makes no difference that the thread was started a year ago...everyone whose info is already posted is still the same. In the first post, KSUViolet posted that she had gone to Kent State and is a Tri Sig...and one year later, she still had gone to Kent State and is a Tri Sig. Plus, there are some pretty recent posts in that thread.

Someone tell him to just post his Greek stats in the thread that AlphaFrog posted. That thread can be 10 years old but if new people post their stats in it, it's updated and active.

Some posters just don't understand message board etiquette. Topics of this type are usually continued on one thread, no matter how old the original post is.

It's probably more of a brain cell issue.

Annoucing that you have put someone on ignore is pretty much like telling them that they own you. I mean, you're letting them know that they mean enough to get to you like that, and you know they're going to hit that "View Post" button all the time anyway.

I guess AlphaFrog is typing something but I have her on ignore so I don't know what it is. But she's typing in a thread that I'm in so it must be something bad about ME. I have her on ignore, I tell you, because I don't want to be bothered with her! But she's in this thread somewhere and I'm going to let her know that I'm not stooping to her level. I'm...ignoring...her!

You know, I probably would have just pointed to the thread, and told him to post his info and let that be it, except I hate when people use "Ur" as a word. Especially in the title, because then I have to keep reading it every time the thread is bumped.

Especially when he typed "You're" in the same title.

"Your" was left out and that's wordism. :(

And "Rep" resents the fact that it's missing it's "resent".:(

Somewhere there's a "Rules of GC" and the #1 rule is that if you feel like your getting picked on, you're probably not special, that poster probably does it to everyone.

I belong to several other message boards where, in instances like this when a duplicate discussion topic is brought up, it is immediately merged into the already existing thread by the moderator(s).

One thing that irritates me is the lack of moderating by some of the GreekChat forum mods. Sure, y'all are great at closing/deleting/moving threads and bitching your hearts out in the Moderators' Corner (I know it still happens), but do you think you could actually merge some of these threads from time to time? It takes 15 seconds to do, 10 if the original thread link is already provided for you.

Even though threads are a gazillion years old, some of them still prove to be a valuable resource, and it'd be nice to see those updated once in a while instead of being buried in the Archives.

He will soon have everyone but Rain Man on ignore.

Sands, let me explain something to you. We don't do double posts around this joint. The board has been around at least 8 years and thousands of topics have been started. We encourage folks to search before posting. Old threads are bumped all the time because someone who wasn't initially in the mix found it interesting. The thread that AlphaFrog provided isn't a year old, someone posted to it today. Now, if you would be so kind as to learn how things operate on GC before you get yourself in any more "trouble" it would be greatly appreciated.
