You know a thread is controversial when...

Forget about wasting your time looking through dozens of pages to locate some drama...sometimes you can tell a thread is on fire just by looking at it (before opening).

-When it's more than 75 posts
-In the general forums, you look at "Last Post" and you see certain NPHC posters have posted.
-When in the NPHC forums, you look at "Last Post" and you see certain NPC posters have posted.
-In any forum, you look at "Last post" and you see that JOHN has posted!
-Any titles that have "help!", "local", "why....?", "underground", "I have a question", "accused of hazing", "PLEASE READ", "seeking" (in NPHC/AI), "dreaming" (in NPHCH/AI), "aspiring" (in NPHC/AI), "always wanted to be" (NPHC/AI), "heartbroken" (Rush, NPHC, and AI).

And any titles that have "South", "Southern" or "SEC" in them. Bless their hearts.

AGDee 04-09-2007 09:48 PM

Any thread with a post that says "Is this you, Dionysus?"

smiley21 04-09-2007 09:58 PM

-When it is the OP's first post ever.

-When everyone is worried about getting their two cents in before the thread closes.

Oh to elaborate on Dionysus' response about the thread having more than 75 posts...you know things are really bad when there are 75 posts in a 24 hour period. lol

ΑΓΔSquirrel10 04-09-2007 10:02 PM

~When the same 5 people have posted 20 times each in the past few hours.

James 04-09-2007 10:03 PM

When the last 5 posts are: "In before the lock!"

Are you kidding? Any thread STARTED by Dionysus.

Dionysus 04-09-2007 11:01 PM

^Hmmm...I don't recall starting that many controversial threads lately, lol.

The rest....I'm talking about threads you haven't even opened yet. :p

...GCers raid their virtual kitchen for some popcorn, snack, and their beverage of choice.

Drolefille 04-10-2007 01:43 AM

When the thread is started by Earp, particularly if the thread
-is a place for him to sort his email
-is about sororities

PrettyBoy 04-10-2007 01:49 AM

I know it's drama if I see DSTCHAOS, or Dionysus name as the last poster.

33girl 04-10-2007 10:15 AM

Any thread that contains the phrase "I am a regular GC poster, but I'm posting under another name to conceal my/my chapter's identity."

DSTCHAOS 04-10-2007 10:38 AM

AlexMack 04-10-2007 11:48 AM

When DSTCHAOS post more than once or twice, sorry Soror :)

Sister Havana 04-10-2007 12:17 PM

-It's started by someone with a username containing a GLO that that person is not a member of. (i.e. WannaBeAnAKA, FutureKD, etc.)
-The thread title starts with "What is the reputation of..."
-The thread asks for the meaning of something known only to members of a GLO. (i.e. "What is AOE/what is AOT/what is the meaning of everything on the crest")

1908Revelations 04-10-2007 12:25 PM

Post starting:

Who much does ____ cost?
MY GPA is 1.4...help me I wanna pledge
Made/Paper
What does Owt mean?
What is a nupe?
Why did ___choose ___&___ for the colors?
Depledge??? I wanna join likes 12 frats!

mystikchick 04-10-2007 12:48 PM

I actually looked to see if this thread is locked. :o

tld221 04-10-2007 04:31 PM

i always look for a post by Earp or ShamikaT to shake it up. and though i dont ever see it anymore, i wait for an off-color post by Bobbythedon or Rudey.

then and ONLY then do i break out my virtual cooler and get the party started.

i too, am a fan of the "in before the lock." im actually waiting on a thread that controversal so i can use said phrase.

BetteDavisEyes 04-10-2007 04:32 PM

-When people start making posts & bets about how long it's going to take before the thread is locked. ;)

NutBrnHair 04-10-2007 05:18 PM

- When several GCers include quotes from the thread in their signatures.

And as usual! A follower and not a leader!

If you want to make a point with out being snarky then please do!

God Bless You and Your Sorority!

They I hope do not rely on you for representation!!!
:o

If you wish to aid and abet fellow GLOs then please Do!

You are not doing it very well!:o

When the thread topic or thread starter involves an NPHC sorority auxiliary group or a member thereof.

I miss those AKA/Delta/Omega riots (those involved know what I am talking about).

I know, right? I'm taking notes from you. ;) :D

NutBrnHair 04-11-2007 01:35 PM

When the title of the thread includes the name of a specific GLO and the majority of posters are NOT from that group.

Denise_DPhiE 04-11-2007 02:23 PM

When the photo of a trainwreck is posted

33girl 04-11-2007 02:33 PM

When members of a group or rubberneckers get all high and mighty about how discussing the subject Makes All Sorority Girls Look Bad and the phrase "dirty laundry" is used.

NutBrnHair 04-11-2007 02:56 PM

When someone dares to correct a GC regular for making an incorrect statement.
