What's the strangest two (or more) foods you've put together and liked?

I'll start: Potato chips w/ ice cream. Another fav of mine is 100 Grand candy bars w/ cream cheese.

i havent done this in a while, but brownies and applesauce.
the brownies have to be hot. the applesauce has to be cold.
it's the only way.

i'll occasionally do a peanut butter/banana/bacon sandwich (i think its called an elvis sandwich?)

Cucumbers w/ peanut butter

I used to work at Subway so we'd experiment alot. Best one I had was a foot long Chcken and Tuna, on Italian Bread, with 5 pieces of Bacon, extra Colby Jack cheese, and extra Mayonaisse. I sounds weird but it is SOOOO good. At the end of every shift we got a free sub. I always got that. I'd kill for one of those right now, with a sugar cookie and a suicide soda on the side! Heaven :D


We also made tuna and steak, tuna and meat balls (ew!), and a salad with all the meats and cheeses on it. That was very delicious. Turned me on to salads. I think we put mayo on top too.

Chocolate chip cookies dipped in salsa. I don't have a sweet tooth so I need something to offset the sweetness and salsa is perfect. I bet it would be even better with salsa con queso.

Potato Chips and Ketchup!

OMG i found myself doing that a few weeks ago and for some strange unexplained reason it tasted good! Go figure!

Spicer Nacho Doritos and Cream Cheese Frosting

Fritos and peanut butter. This works well as a sandwich also, but I prefer to just get the Scoops Fritos and scoop the peanut butter with them. You can feel your arteries clogging while you eat though.

Onion rings and ice cream. Not together, but the ice cream following the onion rings.

Have to seperate food stuff except taters and gravy!

Well, homemade Ice Cream with fun stuff with it like pie and or chocolate!:D

Crunchy peanut butter goes with bread.

Chips go with dip.

Being a purest of course!;)

Chick-fil-a waffle fries and their icedream...amazing

Same thing goes with wendy's fries and frostie

doritos and chocolate frosting.

Frozen Junior Mints in buttered movie popcorn.

Try them with Vanilla pudding! YUM!

AWESOME combination! The only way I eat french fries is with horseradish sauce (ie: Arby's).

Anything w/vanilla pudding, frosting, or whipped cream is so good!

Rolled up salami with cream cheese spread inside. SO good.

My mom makes something similar - ham slices w/layer of cream cheese rolled around a green onion (scallion maybe?). Pretty tasty.

OK, I AM pregnant and none of these sound good!!! :p
(except the one above...but I shouldn't be eating too much salami right now, so I guess I'll hold off. :( )

for my french fries- A1 mixed with mayo

maybe the southern part of me is coming out but a fried peanut butter bannana sandwhich! I cannot get enough of those. My calif friends think i am sick! but all i have to say YUUUUUUUUUUM! sprinkled with some powered sugar.

i like grilled cheese with dill pickle slices on the cheese. i dip each bite in ketchup. yum!!

All you're missing is the beef patty...then you'd have a cheeseburger! :p

i do peanut butter and butter sandwiches too.
but my really odd combo is mac and cheese with apple sauce. it started when i was a kid and we had those together on the plate, but the mac and cheese was too hot, so i mixed them together. now it's a total comfort food.

Wow Tom you really let yourself go with those strange food combos. Ice Cream with Pie??? Holy Shit! Chips and Dip? Gee Willikers!!!! Peanut Butter on BREAD??? You're killin' me.

...oh.........and I hope you burn your hand on a stove soon.

One day, when I had cafeteria duty, I saw a kid slathering mayo on his pizza and eating it. I like mayo, but that made me :eek:.

I like to dip my french fries in mayo sometimes.

yeah that's good for fries.

I don't know about pizza though

In the 10th grade, I put Easy Cheese on some chocolate chip cookies at a classroom party. And I proceded to eat them hungrily. My classmates did not try that combo.

I like that too. I don't see that as strange though, I see a lot of people doing it.

Also agree with the potato chips on sandwiches.

Also, apparently, these and law school are the reasons I'm falling out of shape.

Pretzels dipped in ice cream... something about the combo of salt and sweet.

Also french fries and gravy..... yum!

To my American cousins:
Do you have ketchup flavoured chips in the USA? (I realize that ketchup flavoured chips is different from "Potato Chips and Ketchup", but I thought I'd ask.)

Depends on the region. I've seen them in IL, MI, and places in NY, but nowhere on the west coast or plains states.

BTW, my favorite Canadian potato chip import is Salt and Vinegar flavored. Yum.
