Soooo voted for One Tree Hill!!! My roommate and I will seriously die if that show goes off the air!

jon1856 03-31-2007 09:13 PM

Jericho

I don't watch any of those shows, so I will instead paraphrase a blind item I read in TV Guide.

Basically they are reporting that a network executive ABSOLUTELY hates a show that is critically acclaimed and only "okay" in the ratings. He doesn't think it's funny. And what's more, people are expecting this show to make it because it's ratings aren't that bad and the critics like it. So people are afraid the cancellation of the show will blindside everyone.

My guess is "The Office."

WHICH SUCKS!!! BOOOOO!!!!!

KDAngel 03-31-2007 10:41 PM

I voted for Studio 60, bc supposedly ABC wants to keep it, they just need more watcher support. I didn't bother going for any of the ones that look safe. I decided the networks can figure out they need to save them on their own.

UofISigKap 03-31-2007 11:33 PM

I love Scrubs. I know many people complain the show isn't as fresh as when it started, but I'm still amused. The wardrobe choices they used have become so ingrained that when I was in the hospital getting surgery recently, the surgical team came to talk to me beforehand, and I almost started to laugh when I looked at them and seriously wondered for a split second, "why are they in blue scrubs instead of green?"

The Office has already been renewed for next year. My guess is How I Met Your Mother since the blind item made a comment about it being passed over for a major time slot. A lot of people couldn't believe that Criminal Minds got the post-Super Bowl slot over HIMYM. I will be really pissed off if it gets cancelled.

BetteDavisEyes 03-31-2007 11:53 PM

I voted for Supernatural. I love the show and certainly hope it stays on.

Studio 60 is on NBC, not ABC. It's a cute show--but I can see where it's not grabbing an audience.

I meant that. :D

I love Jericho.

I voted for Medium. I used to watch it, but ever since NBC decided to air it at the same time as Lost on ABC, I've not seen Medium. Seems like a bad programming decision on the part of those NBC folks.

AOIIalum 04-02-2007 03:29 PM

Voted for HIMYM. I can't imagine it would be cancelled, but who knows what the network morons might do.

SSS1365 04-02-2007 07:59 PM

Voting for "How I Met Your Mother." Seriously, this is the best sitcom since the "Seinfeld" and "Friends" era. Besides, I'll be mad if I never find out who the mother is, or how he met her!!!!!

Tippiechick 04-02-2007 09:39 PM

I hope HIMYM dies a painful death.

I LOVED the show until the ex-boyfriends/dogs episode. You don't give up your animals because of a guy's hang-ups! I refuse to watch it ever again after that episode.

I had to watch it for a class and I love it. What a fun show. I hope it doesn't go. I think if they advertised for it better it could do really well. I didn't even know it existed until like a month ago.

Thank god, maybe we can salvage my favourite show. If VMars gets cancelled, tv will never be the same for me.

I said that when ABC spiked VU.
And in fact, I just about no longer watch ABC any more....:)
And I have a relative who works for ABC News. I do watch his shows at least.

What's VU?
I predict seeing LOST winding up on the chopping block next year and it ending up on this list.

NOOOOOO!!!! Why are Medium, How I Met Your Mother, and The Class all at 0%? I am going to be so upset if they cancel any of these three. I don't really watch any of the other ones.

Y'all know that this poll doesn't really mean anything, right?

Vengeance Unlimited.

Was sort of a mix of Have Gun, Will Travel and StingRay..

They've gotten the shows picked up 5 out of the 6 times they've done this. OTH didn't have a prayer last year (I'm from the city they film in) and they said it was going to be cancelled time and again... and they got it. Anything's possible...

Voting's over now. We find out if someone got saved on Friday.

But when it comes down to it, it's the networks decision to decide if it is a smart business decision to renew or cancel a show. They're not going to renew a show solely because it won a fan poll. OTH is a different story because of the new network.

What she said.

I remember when people wanted to save "My So Called Life" years ago (has it really been that long already?) and there was such a strong push to save it -- stronger than any "Save One Show" of recent years.

It still got the ax.

Networks don't give a shit about online polls.

I barely watched a OTH episode this season. I don't really care if it stays or goes because the ones that I absolutely love are safe anyway.

KDAngel 04-14-2007 07:44 PM

The CW actually said it does care about its fan because it's still a fledgling network that's trying to establish its footing. And with an official axe to 7th Heaven, they know they need some shows (aside from 30 minute sitcoms and reality shows) to keep their audience.

Due to an overwhelming amount of votes, there are two winners this year: Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars. I don't think GG will come through, but VM just might...

Fingers crossed for Veronica. They reached a much larger audience this year with the network change (myself included) and many would be devastated to see it go.
