Sigmas: Brag about your chapter's accomplishments here :)

Hey ladies! Here you can brag about ANYTHING your chapter has done this year that you're proud of!

I'll start:

*Alpha Beta placed 2nd in Performance at my school's annual Songfest competition with our partners Delt & Delta Chi.

*We have improved our GPA to one that is above the all-women's average.

*Out of 7 sororities and 15 fraternities, we contributed the most toys to our Greek Programming Board's Christmas toy drive.

So come on ladies! Start bragging :)

Zeta Epsilon chapter held their inaugural Sweet 16 Sigma Backwards Pageant to commemorate our 16th year at FIU and raise funds for RPM. We raised over $3000 in ticket sales and bake sale donations! And we won the TKE horseshoe toss, so that's another $500 that's going to be sent to the Foundation! :) So proud of my girls...

KSUViolet06 11-29-2007 02:27 PM

My collegiate chapter Alpha Beta hosted a Pancake Breakfast to raise funds for our Housing Corp. The event was very successful with over 100 guests and was even featured on the front page of the KSU paper:

sigmaceli 01-29-2008 10:48 PM

One more brag!

Our chapter was accredited for the first time ever last week - and we did it WITH HONORS! We worked our BEHINDS off last year and it absolutely paid off! It is definitely one of my proudest Sigma moments.

It is a far cry from the chapter I entered almost 3 years ago and we are proof that any chapter with struggles can turn around and succeed (so if you're struggling, DON'T GIVE UP! You can do it!).

Zeta Epsilon is moving on up! :)

ms_gwyn 01-30-2008 02:43 AM

I am an Accreditation Advisor....I know all the hard work you ladies go through...keep it up.

I am so proud of my chapter! This semester we have tripled our chapter. I saw all those awesome stories in the Triangle about chapters who got a ton of girls in one go. And I thought "man, that must be awesome!"

Well this semester we have 13 new members. I'm sure to some chapters that the norm. But for us that is INSANE!

We are a small school. There are only about 3,000 students at our school and Greek life is even smaller. The average chapter is anywhere from 6-13 members! In September this year the ASA's on our campus had 12, The AST's had 16 and we had 7. And now look at us 13 new women who are all excited and geared up for sorority life and life as a Tri Sigma!!!

Oh and did I mention that ASA only got 9 and AST only got 10? :D

ms_gwyn 10-18-2009 01:46 AM

I love hearing stories like this, go Sigma! <3

sailboatgirl 10-25-2009 05:13 PM

Yesterday was Alpha Iota's 80th Anniversary Celebration and NSU's homecoming....at the anniversary celebration, the chapter was presented with the National Ritual & Values Award! I think this may be the first time (or the first time in a LONG time) where Alpha Iota has won one of the big national awards! So proud of my chapter!

Congratulations not only on 80 wonderful years enriching women's lives at NSU, but the award! Sometimes I think Ritual gets overlooked in chapters in regards to what is important - so to be a chapter recognized for this is very special. :D

KSUViolet06 10-25-2009 07:09 PM

My collegiate chapter recently won Homecoming with Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity!

psusue 01-18-2010 06:20 PM

I think I'm going to submit an article to the Triangle about this, because yesterday Beta Upsilon at Penn State initiated 28 new women into our sorority (myself included!) and we also have received accreditation with honors for this year! These are both huge accomplishments for our chapter and we hope to continue these successes well into the spring. =)

Congratulations! 28 women, that is amazing! Accreditation with honors is a huge achievement! Obviously the PSU Tri Sigmas are doing some amazing things! If you get a chance to post any pictures (obviously not from the ceremony, but maybe after or even bid day) that would be great! :D Does this make you guys at or near total? Definitely write an article for the Triangle - I know Sigmas nation/world wide would love to hear about whats going on at Beta Upsilon!

Are you ladies planning to have a team for THON? I'm not a huge PSU fan (*ducks* even though I'm from PA) but I have always loved THON.
