The ebay game take two...now with less trolls and perps

Okay here are the rules:
1. Go to http://www.ebay.com
2. Type in Sigma Kappa.
3. Post the links to this thread of the weirdest things you can find with our letters on them. Also post a description in case the auction expires and/or grab the photograph.

I.E.

A crystal glass nail file all the way from the Czech Republic.

Drolefille 03-09-2007 09:56 AM

Aw man, that totally tops my other one. I'll find a new one after work :p

_Lisa_ 03-09-2007 10:45 AM

I am totally NOT OK with this shirt.

OK-secretly I think its funny, but honestly-what would HQ think?

Drolefille 03-09-2007 11:22 AM

Lol that's like the bondage bowling one I found before :p

UofISigKap 03-10-2007 09:00 PM

My find (again)

Are we still playing? I found someone posting a bunch of SK plates. Did anyone actually have these?

They had these at the Greek store I went to today. They were at the register. I didn't get it. As in, I didn't understand. I don't know how I feel about fraternal stuff of personal care/hygiene type products. But, whatever.

BaylorBean 03-16-2007 09:33 AM

Because everyone needs one!

Who doesn't want a blazer patch!

I didn't realize this was so hard to find since we wear blazers all the time. There were nice enough to even add pins to the back to attach it to your very own blazer!

Drolefille 03-16-2007 10:48 AM

On a non-weird note, did is/was there a SK fraternity or where else did this pin come from Sigma Kappa Pin
http://i24.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/8f/35/4f51_1.JPG

Ok and for weird. You might not think a mug is "weird" but when it's the most hideous mug to ever walk the earth, and someone though.. hey, you know what would be great? To put Letters on this ugly ass mug. It's weird

AlphaFrog 03-16-2007 11:27 AM

Maybe that pin is a pre-snake & K pledge pin?

BaylorBean 03-16-2007 11:31 AM

Actually I don't think the pin is really an "official" pin. Some greek supply companies made just "letter" pins but aren't really an official piece of jewlery. That seller is selling a few from different organizations.

nope, the Snake/K was our original badge :)

BaylorBean is probably right, I was just thrown by the use of fraternity

ufdale 03-20-2007 10:54 PM

nope that pin is the real thing. It looks just like the pearl court pin without the pearl in the middle. They sell them off of the herff jones website (hjgreek.com).

Drolefille 03-20-2007 11:09 PM

Well it's certainly not our pledge pin ;) nor a predecessor. Was this perhaps an recognition pin used before our pearl court?

Chocolate Covered Oreos! Why are they weird? Because they're Red and Blue... Why? I have no idea.

http://i6.ebayimg.com/01/i/04/48/92/8f_1_b.JPG

Also they're 7 bucks when you include shipping. For that I'll go buy a box of white chocolate Oreos and personalize them with those food markers.

BetteDavisEyes 03-21-2007 06:16 PM

Seriously. Where on earth are you guys digging this crap up from? ;) :D

BaylorBean 03-22-2007 07:52 AM

The scary thing is that it isn't that difficult to find it! I actually check ebay every day for Sigma Kappa items just to keep an eye on things.

_Lisa_ 03-22-2007 09:08 AM

Nothing odd about this posting for a Sigma Kappa badge, but what the heck is up w/ the description:

Gold Alpha Delta Pi sorority pin. This is a plain gold pin, all of the black enamel is intact. Markings on the back include 10K marking, the date 10/19/96, initials that appear to be ADJ. It also has a jewelers mark. A beautiful pin for an ADPi member or a nice addition to any collection. Please email with questions! Thanks!

_Lisa_ 03-22-2007 09:24 AM

And seriously, WTF is up w/ this ugly hat?

There is no explanation for that. Cardinal and Bronze on a Navy/Gold hat? UGH.

I take it you emailed Julie?

SigmaKappaRoyal 04-03-2007 05:27 PM

Leather flask with our Crest on it. eep!

AlexMack 04-06-2007 09:14 AM

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sigma-Kappa-Chec...QQcmdZViewItem

This is the worst I could come up with. It's hideous. An ugly lavender checkbook cover.

_Lisa_ 04-06-2007 09:27 AM

I've seen those checkbook covers in real life, they're not too bad, but I still wouldn't want one. I had the matching keychain ID holder but it fell apart.

Drolefille 04-06-2007 11:06 AM

Ditto. On both parts. That stupid ID holder ripped w/in the first week. It's like it isn't big enough. I wouldn't trust the checkbook cover. They seem to have been replacing those with the more woven ones at our Greek shop.

AlexMack 04-10-2007 01:02 PM

I found soap.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sigma-Kappa-Soap...QQcmdZViewItem

Seriously. Soap. This is a new one.

Drolefille 04-10-2007 02:16 PM

lol I've seen the soap in person.

Did you wash with it?

Drolefille 04-10-2007 03:49 PM

no no, I did not purchase said soap.

They sell/sold it at the Greek store in STL.

BetteDavisEyes 04-10-2007 04:38 PM

Scented lotion & Tissues anyone?

This is something...different. Just what I always wanted. To blow my nose on my letters.

It sounds kinda pervy when you put it like that. You know, a nice night in with Handgela. For a guy obviously.

Drolefille 04-11-2007 12:18 PM

What's even worse is that the tissues suck. They're scratchy. (Don't recall actually using SK ones, but all of the printed tissues suck)

SigmaKappaRoyal 04-11-2007 12:57 PM

hey now, i have both the checkbook cover AND the soap. heehee. the soap was a big/lil week present from my big tho. and no i haven't ever used it. i like the checkbook cover tho- had it for a few years and it works fine.

lovethedove 04-11-2007 01:24 PM

Yeah! I have both too. The soap I never used but the check book cover my big gave me, I use to this day (three years later). The matching ID holder, well, that one gave out on me :(

BaylorBean 05-15-2007 09:31 AM

Bump!

Who needs their own feathered Sigma Kappa can koozie?
Yeah Feathers!

And seriously, how can this be a licensed product? I remember it being a huge deal when we wanted "drink" glasses as party favors once.

Drolefille 05-15-2007 10:53 AM

Because it is for SODA obviously :-p

My sister has the Tri Delta version of that. The cat pounced on it and tried to take it back to a room to eat it.

BaylorBean 05-15-2007 11:32 AM

Ok, just the mental image of that has me dieing of laughter! :p

Oh it was hilarious. We have two grey tabbies, and were trying to get this spinny cat toy to work. So we're all facing the toy, and so is cat A (Pippi). Meanwhile, cat B (Coco) snuck up behind my sister, grabbed it, and started trotting down the hallway with it in her mouth, just like she'd caught a bird. My sister ran and got it back, but it had a few more close calls that day (Christmas!) but now it lives at the sorority house.

Although, my sister stored her stuff in this clear plastic tub before she went back to the house that break, and that cat was tring to get into there because she could see it.

This is awesome! A moonshine jug with our crest.

BetteDavisEyes 05-20-2007 11:24 PM

Oh. Dear. God.

That is the FUGLIEST thing I've ever seen. Do we even have hillbilly redneck sisters that would love that? ;)

SoCalGirl 05-21-2007 02:42 AM

I wonder how many of those jugs exist. They've been on ebay for YEARS! I an just imagine the seller trying to unload it over and over again.

Earlier today I searched ebay and found one of our badges. :( The funny thing is that the seller described it as vintage because the date on the back was '02. The seller even clarifies 1902. It's funny because it's a ZZ badge. Which means the badge is from 2002!

Who even MAKES those things in the first place?
