The ebay game take two...now with less trolls and perps
Okay here are the rules:
1. Go to http://www.ebay.com 2. Type in Sigma Kappa. 3. Post the links to this thread of the weirdest things you can find with our letters on them. Also post a description in case the auction expires and/or grab the photograph. I.E. http://cgi.ebay.com/SIGMA-KAPPA-CRYS...QQcmdZViewItem A crystal glass nail file all the way from the Czech Republic. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y9/...2/8a50_1_b.jpg |
Aw man, that totally tops my other one. I'll find a new one after work :p
|
I am totally NOT OK with this shirt.
OK-secretly I think its funny, but honestly-what would HQ think? |
Lol that's like the bondage bowling one I found before :p
|
My find (again)
Are we still playing? I found someone posting a bunch of SK plates. Did anyone actually have these?

Because everyone needs one!
Who doesn't want a blazer patch!
I didn't realize this was so hard to find since we wear blazers all the time. There were nice enough to even add pins to the back to attach it to your very own blazer! |
On a non-weird note, did is/was there a SK fraternity or where else did this pin come from Sigma Kappa Pin
http://i24.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/8f/35/4f51_1.JPG Ok and for weird. You might not think a mug is "weird" but when it's the most hideous mug to ever walk the earth, and someone though.. hey, you know what would be great? To put Letters on this ugly ass mug. It's weird http://i1.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/8e/fd/e3ce_1_b.JPG Ugly Ass mug |
Maybe that pin is a pre-snake & K pledge pin?
|
Actually I don't think the pin is really an "official" pin. Some greek supply companies made just "letter" pins but aren't really an official piece of jewlery. That seller is selling a few from different organizations.

BaylorBean is probably right, I was just thrown by the use of fraternity |
nope that pin is the real thing. It looks just like the pearl court pin without the pearl in the middle. They sell them off of the herff jones website (hjgreek.com).
|
Well it's certainly not our pledge pin ;) nor a predecessor. Was this perhaps an recognition pin used before our pearl court?
Chocolate Covered Oreos! Why are they weird? Because they're Red and Blue... Why? I have no idea. http://i6.ebayimg.com/01/i/04/48/92/8f_1_b.JPG Also they're 7 bucks when you include shipping. For that I'll go buy a box of white chocolate Oreos and personalize them with those food markers. |
Seriously. Where on earth are you guys digging this crap up from? ;) :D
|
The scary thing is that it isn't that difficult to find it! I actually check ebay every day for Sigma Kappa items just to keep an eye on things.
|
Nothing odd about this posting for a Sigma Kappa badge, but what the heck is up w/ the description:

This is the worst I could come up with. It's hideous. An ugly lavender checkbook cover. |
I've seen those checkbook covers in real life, they're not too bad, but I still wouldn't want one. I had the matching keychain ID holder but it fell apart.
|
Ditto. On both parts. That stupid ID holder ripped w/in the first week. It's like it isn't big enough. I wouldn't trust the checkbook cover. They seem to have been replacing those with the more woven ones at our Greek shop.
|
I found soap.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Sigma-Kappa-Soap...QQcmdZViewItem Seriously. Soap. This is a new one. |
lol I've seen the soap in person.

no no, I did not purchase said soap.
They sell/sold it at the Greek store in STL. |
Scented lotion & Tissues anyone?
This is something...different. Just what I always wanted. To blow my nose on my letters. |

What's even worse is that the tissues suck. They're scratchy. (Don't recall actually using SK ones, but all of the printed tissues suck)
|
hey now, i have both the checkbook cover AND the soap. heehee. the soap was a big/lil week present from my big tho. and no i haven't ever used it. i like the checkbook cover tho- had it for a few years and it works fine.
|
Yeah! I have both too. The soap I never used but the check book cover my big gave me, I use to this day (three years later). The matching ID holder, well, that one gave out on me :(
|
Bump!
Who needs their own feathered Sigma Kappa can koozie? Yeah Feathers! And seriously, how can this be a licensed product? I remember it being a huge deal when we wanted "drink" glasses as party favors once. |
Because it is for SODA obviously :-p
My sister has the Tri Delta version of that. The cat pounced on it and tried to take it back to a room to eat it. |
Ok, just the mental image of that has me dieing of laughter! :p

Although, my sister stored her stuff in this clear plastic tub before she went back to the house that break, and that cat was tring to get into there because she could see it. |

This is awesome! A moonshine jug with our crest. |
Oh. Dear. God.
That is the FUGLIEST thing I've ever seen. Do we even have hillbilly redneck sisters that would love that? ;) |
I wonder how many of those jugs exist. They've been on ebay for YEARS! I an just imagine the seller trying to unload it over and over again.
Earlier today I searched ebay and found one of our badges. :( The funny thing is that the seller described it as vintage because the date on the back was '02. The seller even clarifies 1902. It's funny because it's a ZZ badge. Which means the badge is from 2002! |
