LOS ANGELES -- It's a new look for Britney. Pop singer Britney Spears has shaved her head completely bald.

US Magazine reported that Spears went into a hair parlor to get her head shaved and that when the hair stylist refused to shave her head, Spears grabbed the clippers and shaved it herself.

Wow I read this on TMZ last night and thought it was a joke.. what the hell has happened to her???

Nervous. Breakdown.

The articles I've read all say that she was really upset and freaking out. It's sad to see what's happened with her. Maybe Justin will swoop in and save her.

She is definitely heading towards a nervous breakdown. She's probably incredibly depressed which has just pushed her into this state of mind.

Celebrity or not, acting this way isn't healthy and I hope she seeks out help soon. Not just for her, but for her 2 children as well.

She should have stayed in rehab. She needs serious help and needs to get away from the spotlight for awhile. I don't think she's headed toward a nervous breakdown, I think she's right in the middle of it. I hope someone steps in and makes sure she gets the help she needs and takes care of her sons.

this is worse than when keri russell cut her curls and everyone freaked. you only see her now in the covergirl ads cause it grew back.

i could never stand this girl....ever.....but now I'M even like, "damn".......

while i honestly tend to lean towards, "you reap what you sow" (hello, marry a skanky back up dancer who was still with his pregnant twice over baby's mama and then lash out when people call you what you are walking out of a gas station bare-footed and lookee i'm pure white trash t-shirt on with baby sitting in lap driving 40mph all the while screamin 'but i LOVE him' at the top of your lungs and doin the nasty with the nasty on national tv expecting rave reviews and when it REALLY all comes crashing down on you OF COURSE you're gonna shave your head b/c everyone knows the only thing you always have control over is your hair), i still kinda almost sorta feel bad for her.....

FYI, as per TOS of GC, copywrite laws, and fair use agreements this is how you should have posted this.

i actually thought about this when it was posted, like... "umm isnt this copyrighted?"

on the other hand, lots of stories are directly copy/posted onto GC (and other forums, blogs, etc). what exactly happens when someone incorrectly posts a copyrighted story? i mean, its not like the OP is saying she wrote the story. shes giving the credit where its due.

It's not a big deal for an individual case, but if the copyright holder wants to get sue-happy GC, and John, would be in a lot of trouble. Most of the time, nothing would happen, but all it takes is one. And some people post a lot more links than others...

And why do we need to know this? Why do they publish stuff so personal as this?

If it were something like "Britney has been diagnosed with a serious illness. Please pray for her. It is not know what will happen to the boys." then that is fine. But I honestly consider news like these to be trivial.

She is not heading for a nervous breakdown she is in the middle of one. I have never liked her ,but you really do have to feel sorry f or her. Who i feel real concern for is her two babies. If her family loves her i hope they have the kids and looking for help for her.

The post-partum depression is very possible. Although I think she was smart in dumping Federline, now she has less of a support system than before. Or maybe realing that Fed-ex wasn't for her made her realize how little reality she has in her life.

Whatever happened, I hope she gets a good therapist, and one who won't just tell her what she wants to hear because of the $$$$$

When I first heard of this I was in shock.

I really thought (minus the crazy party nights with Paris) she was almost on her way back up.... new album, lost the baby fat, lost the gold-diggin hubby. I thought she divorced him to turn her life around... unfortunately it's getting worse :eek:

I can only say that I hope someone in her family has stepped in to take those children aways from her, because she has been showing a lot of eratic behavior lately that is unstable. Not an environment children should be in at all.

one would hope that she's got enough money to basically fall off the radar for a REALLY long time. screw a new album. screw fame. at this point in the game she needs to move to the middle of nowhere and get some help while raising her kids out of the spotlight. of course, after rehab.

I *think* she was going for the Madonna-reinvent-yourself-make-another-million look but she really miss the mark on that!

Don't know if that is going to work now that the word is out that she is nothing more than Louisiana swamp trash.

It's not like she's the one really raising the kids anyway. She's out all the time! Must have some good nanny help.

This really makes me disapointed, frankly. Not in Spears- she can do whatever she wants, just because it's a haircut not used for females all that often doesn't mean that she's lost it, no, I'm disapointed in everyone that posted here saying how horrible of a person and how untalented she is. People need to LEAVE HER ALONE. If anything, this looks like an atempt to get the spotlight OFF of her- if she's not attractive in the current view, maybe less people will stalk her and take her picture all the time. She's trying to turn her life around, and I sure bet that is damn hard when there is always someone trying to find fault in her. Also, towards the two children, you people should be ashamed of yourself. Not ONCE has any ACTUAL evidence been brought up that she is a bad mother. Sure, there was the car incident where the baby was in her lap. That was ages ago, all parents make little mistakes, it's not like she was dangling him out a window. The so-called bruises or cuts or whatever they were that were on the children as well- that was back when she was with K-Fed, who, frankly, was much more likely to have abused them then her. Now she's dumped the loser, is trying to put out new music, has tried to keep the people away from her while she's trying to do that, and is doing better, I really think. Just because she's gone out partying sometimes and seems to be having a bit of a hard time getting away that teenager-ness that she managed to miss thanks to her career doesn't mean that she's going to start stabbing people and throwing her babies at walls or something. Give her a break, move on, and get a life other than stalking hers. (Another thing- if she IS in a nervous breakdown, what do you think caused it? ALL THOSE DAMN PEOPLE THAT WON'T LEAVE HER ALONE! GIVE HER A BREAK!)

First point: There is no way that you could be a good mother when you're partying that much. She's away from her children at all hours, and she's probably hungover when she's sees them in the morning. I'm sure she has the potential to be a good mother, but not until she lays off the sauce a bit.

Second point: If Britney wanted to be out of the limelight, she wouldn't have shaved her head in front of all those photographers. She would clean up her act and lay low.
