EGDeepher's little sister's recruitment
So I know how much everyone loves stories I decided to write one. My little sister's recruitment begins tonight at a small school in NJ. The school has 3 sororities 1 local and 2 NPC.
Here's the schedule of events: Tonight: Recruitment kick off Tomorrow: Philanthropy event Thursday: Round Robin Monday- Wed: Pref Parties Next Thursday: Day of Silence Next Friday: Bid Night Since my fav band is Green Day I'll name the sororities after their band members. Billie Joe Tre Cool Mike Dirnt I'll keep everyone posted as soon as I know everything. |

Yes there is a chance we'll have another Deepher. I'd love her to join D Phi E but I want her to make her own choice so I'm staying out of it. :)

Thanks Emory, I was in a rush and didn't catch that lol.
So here's an update on last night's event: It was pretty informal so there's not much to say. The girls got to meet their recruitment councelors and group members last night. The RC's went over all rush related stuff, events, rules, how recruitment works etc. Tonight all of the sororities are coming together to make sandwiches for the local shelter so the girls get to talk to some girls before round robin tomorrow night. |

Anyway here's my update: My sister had a great time at the philanthropy event. She didn't realize how many girls she knew who are Greek. Here's her first impressions of the houses (let's see how much they change after tonight's round robin): Billie Joe: She says their very down to earth and easy to talk to. She loved all the girls she met and could see herself in this house. Tre Cool: She says their's all athleteic girls who like to have a good time. Feels like she could see herself in this house. Mike Dirnt: She says the girls seem "fake". They were being nice to her but it didn't feel geniune to her. This is her least fav. house at the moment. Anyway tonight they're gonna tour the houses and here's where she'll really begin to find where she belongs. |
Yay! I'm glad she's seeing peole she knows in the houses.

Ok everyone here's our update. Sorry it's late but I got caught up today.
Here's what she said about the houses. **Note her exact words have been changed because the Jersey attitude may offend those that don't understand** The first house she visited was Tre Cool. She liked the girls but feels like she may not fit in. She described their house as "strange". I'm not sure what that means but we'll find out. She wants to give them another chance. Next up was Billie Joe. It was her absolute favorite of the night. She said the girls seem geniune and fun. She can really see herself in this house. Finally was Mike Dirnt. She said they're the biggest group of "superficial, fake Barbies" she ever seen in one place. As you can tell she didn't get a good vibe from this house. Here's the rankings so far: 1) Billie Joe 2) Tre Cool 3) Mike Dirnt She gets her invites to pref tomorrow. New members are allowed to attend all three if invited but are incouraged to drop one if they don't feel comfortable at a particular house. I'll let you know when she calls. |

I don't know how pref is at her school, but if it's a dinner type thing, I would tell her to go to all three just to avoid eating in the cafeteria. A lot of the freshman girls in my school would do this. Plus pref parties are fun.

At her school pref parties are held after 9 pm and are usually a ceremony with light snacks. She'd still have to eat in the cafeteria.

Here is a quick update:
Last night was Billie Joe's pref party. She absolutely fell in love with the house. This is where she wants to become a sister of. She a little worried though because 27 girls showed up to pref and there are only 11 spots (quota). Because of her strong feelings for Billie Joe and her uncomfortable feelings at Mike Dirnt she has decided not to attend their pref party. She said she didn't want to take another girls spot who really wanted to be there. Tomorrow night she's going to Tre Cool's pref party because she wants to give them another chance before making her decision. A little update on her 4 best friends: Two invited to all three as well. One was invited to Billie Joe and Tre Cool One was cut by all three due to grades. |

Ok everyone tomorrow is the big day.
Last night my sister attended Tre Cool's pref party. She had a good time but didn't feel like she fit into their sisterhood. Today was bid signing and she decided to sucide Billie Joe. She'll know if she recieved a bid at noon tomorrow |
Okay, now I'm excited for her. I hope she gets what she wants! *fingers crossed*
