Its Thanksgiving Eve...you know what that means!
Happy Founder's Day, sisters!
Delta Love around! |
Happy Founder's Day indeed. I know it's the first one for a couple of us on here.
|
Has anyone been to a Founder's Day dinner?
|
I missed the founder's day events for my alumnae chapter and my college chapter. Both were on the same day, and I had to take a praxis test that day. I have attended some in the past.
|
Yes this was my first Founders Day! :D We are having our event next week and I am really looking foward to attending.
|
My first Founder's Day as an alum was very interesting. I remember when the chapter roll call occurred, I was the only one there from my chapter and almost everyone else in the room was from the local college chapter. It was overwhelming as our school was very small.
|
*Bump* It's Thanksgiving Eve once again... Happy Founder's Day sisters! Delta love and best wishes both on this snowy Founder's Day and tomorrow on Thanksgiving. :)
|
Happy Founder's Day my fellow sisters!! Much Delta love. :)
|
Happy Founders Day to all my sisters! :)

Atlanta Founder's Day Celebration
Dear sisters,
Tri-Deltas from around metro Atlanta met to celebrate Founder's Day together. The guest speaker was award winner broadcast journalist, Deborah Norville. Ms. Norville was initiated at Univ. of Georgia. Some of her pledge sisters were seated together with Debbie for this special occasion. Active sisters from Emory, UGA, West Georgia and Brenau joined alumnae at tables with centerpieces of lighted candles. I was fortunate to be with sisters from our West Georgia chapter. One collegian was a seven way legacy to another group, but knew her home was Tri-Delta. About 270 attended the dinner and celebration. The candlelighting ceremony was inspiring, as always. Since Atlanta attracts people from all over the country there were numerous chapters represented. It was fun to see many Deltas from our single letter chapters lighting their candles. Scholarships were awarded to a collegian from each local chapter who had achieved scholastic excellence by having the highest GPA in her respective chapter. It was an evening to remember. |
Hey Tri Deltas,
I befriended some Tri Deltas when I lived for a time in Toronto. They were very kind to me, and I have to say, I've always quite liked the motto: "Let Us Steadfastly Love One Another". :) |
Bump!
Happy Founders Day Sisters! Here's to another 120 (and more) years of Delta Love!:D |
Happy Founders Day to all my GC Tri-Delta Sisters!!
|
Happy Founders Day everyone :)

Happy Founders' Day Delta Sisters 2008
This November the Atlanta Alumnae of Tri Delta celebrated Founder's Day with the chapters at Emory, Brenau, West Georgia and UGA. It is always fun to be with collegians for this special occasion.
The speaker was Peyton Wright from our Tennessee chapter, who had some inspiring experiences working for Tri Delta as an alumna. She was also on the Bachelor TV show and commented on her days on network television. Three collegian members were honored for their high GPAs. By coincidence all had 3.93 averages! Candle lighting was the highlight of the evening along with the chapter roll call. Numerous chapters were represented from all across the U.S. The celebration ended with the singing of "Alpha Theta Phi". |
Happy belated Founders Day to all!
I was a bit sad that I missed out on Founders Day this year. I did have a chance to reflect on my own. It was kind of funny, on Wed morning, Founders Day was the last thing on my mind, but as I was getting ready for work I deiced to put on my Dolphin/Delta necklace (I don't know if they sell it anymore, but it is a silver delta with three dolphins jumping around it) anyway, didn't even occur to me at the time. Later in the day when our school was celebrating Thanksgiving, and someone mentioned Thanksgiving Eve, it hit me! Today is Founders Day! I then realized what I had chosen to wear around my neck and it made me smile. |
How cool was the Founders' Day message in the Tri Delta Foundation email that was an actual recording of Sarah Ida Shaw from the 1938 National Convention. So weird to hear her voice and try to picture her as a young woman creating Tri Delta. I'm sure her voice changed a lot between 1888 and 1938, though. Haha. Here it is in case you didn't get it: http://www.pursuant4.com/deltadeltad...rend/video.htm

Happy Belated Founder's Day!!
It has been crazy around here- but I managed to find my badge from the latest move and wore it to work on Wednesday. Got lots of compliments on it. :D It was great to explain it and the concept of my sisterhood and what it stands for to so many who have only been exposed to sororities on TV/movies. |
This was my first Founder's Day, too!
Delta love to all my sisters here. |
