2006-2007 College Basketball-March Madness is coming soon!
As we all seemed to have had a good time with NCAA football, I thought a Basketball thread was in order.

Nebraska Upsets #20 Creighton!!!! I watched this game online, and let me tell you, it was fantastic!!! :D:D:D Nebraska hadn't beat their in-state rivals in a regular season game in eight years, and for brand new coach Doc Sadler to do it in his only second regular season game, and with a very limited injury-riddled bench says tons - the future looks very bright for Nebraska Basketball. Nebraska hasn't had a good basketball program in recent memory, atleast the last 5 years. Upsetting a Top 20 team is an accomplishment. You can't compare College Basketball to College Football.....it is not the same.

Not that big an upset. Good program upset, but its like when Miss. St. upset Alabama in football. Bama sucks, thats how it happened. Duke isn't very good thus far.

The difference is, Nebraska is a big time school beating a little "other" school. Creighton is alright at bball sometimes, but I mean come on, its still Creighton.

I'm looking forward to the UConn season; they're young, and it's always tough to judge until they get into the meat of their schedule. Adrien looks good though, and Thabeet is blocking everything that comes into the paint. If Price can be consistent at point guard, all the better.

Kansas and Florida played a great game in Vegas tonight, with the Jayhawks upsetting the #1 team 82-80 in OT.
Always nice to see a Big 12 school beat up on a school from Florida :) |

Man, Auburn almost pulled the upset against Pitt today. Maybe we'll go .500 in SEC play, that'd be nice.

THE CATS ALWAYS ARE NO 1!! and will always be my reason for sunday and monday larengitis (sp) WE ALL HATE DUKE, TENNESSEE AND INDIANA..AND BIG BLUE WILL ALWAYS COME OUT ON TOP. Well UConn has blown it against its first two difficult opponents this year. It's not a big surprise, as the talent level is down from last year, but it's still a disappointment.
I'm sure Adrien, Price, Thabeet and company will improve as the year goes on, but people around here are getting way too excited. |
