Now that we have had a highly successful Fall 2006 recruitment season, it is time to start the thread for Winter/Spring 2007. I have to say that I have really enjoyed doing the tally this past season.

I'm rushing in January. I haven't posted a thread yet. I have to get through finals first and not just meet sorority minimum GPA but PARENT minimum GPA (trust me, it's a lot higher)! See y'all after Christmas!!!!:) :) :)

I'm thinking about rushing 2nd Semester, but I'm not sure yet. I still have to survive finals! I might wait untill I'm a sophmore and do informal rush in the fall. But either way, I think that Ill post my story here. I think it would be fun to share my experiences rushing each day! But I warn you: my school is small (9,000 undergrads) and we only have 3 sororities (no houses allowed.) So I dont know if anyone will be interested.

Are you kidding?!? Even if there were only one GLO, we'd want to know all about your recruitment experience--we're a bunch of rush thread addicts! Good luck whenever you decide to go through recruitment.

My biological sister is rushing at a school in the Midwest.

Hijack - if you think 9,000 is small, you'd be :eek: at my alma mater - only 3500 undergrads, and there were SEVEN sororities when I went through!

I can't believe it is already time to start the spring stories as well as meet the PNMs that will be coming in gearing up for FR in the fall.

I am a Rho Gamma at UMD this spring for formal recruitment! I'll let you know where my girls went after bid day!

And Buttonz, we have a great chapter of SDT at Maryland, so it's definitely possible that someone in my group will go SDT!

Right, but whenever someone has a bunch of people that they know going through, they report it to the thread, and it'll say something like "So and So's crew went ABC, XYZ, 2 went DEF, etc" which is why I didn't think my thread would be out of place. Different, yes, but not out of place. Example from last semester's thread:

Carnation's 2006 Crew At Auburn: One went ZETA TAU ALPHA , one went DELTA ZETA one went ALPHA CHI OMEGA. At Georgia Tech: 1 went ZETA TAU ALPHA , 2 went KAPPA DELTA at Valdosta, one went ZETA TAU ALPHA at Shorter

The other PNMs in my group and I have had a great evening with our recruitment counselor, who is really nice, and who has helped alot by giving us details of rush this week, and answered our millions of questions. Nine of us are freshmen, and one is a sophomore. All of the girls in my group seem friendly and down to earth, and I'm really psyched for tomorrow, round 1!! Wish me luck!

A friend of the family went ZTA at Baylor! It was her top choice and she's having a blast!

She's very excited-- she preffed at ADPi and ZTA and I'm really happy for her. She's having a wonderful time. A few girls on her floor also went ZTA so she is surrounded by sisters.

i am going to be rushing a fraternity at a smallish (10,000) southern school. there are two fraternities that i am interested in.

That's awesome--I remember having some good times in my dorm when I had older members living up a floor and over a bit from my room, and then when I had younger members living just a floor down from me, too. Only problem was when one of said younger members wanted to ransom my stuffed bunny (and unofficial "roomie") for our Sing theme! I hid Bunny in a drawer for a few weeks over that...

I had a friend from high school just go Pi Phi and another go Tri-Delt at Wake Forest!

AND a friend go Kappa at Furman!

I'm rushing Spring 2007. :) It's informal recruitment for our college, so you really don't get a chance to see ALL of the houses. I'll code-name the ones I've visited later.

I have decided to go ahead and rush at the Urban college I attend. The first rush event is today! I'm excited! I think all the chapters seem cool based on their websites and one was founded on my birthday :) Gosh I can't believe this is finally happening:D
