Britney Spears filed for divorced Tuesday from Kevin Federline, officials said. The Los Angeles County Superior Court filing cites "irreconcilable differences," said court spokeswoman Kathy Roberts.

Spears, 24, married rapper Kevin Federline, 28, in 2004. They have a 1-year-old son, Sean Preston, and an infant son who was born Sept. 12. The couple have not confirmed the infant's name, which is reportedly Jayden James.

It's all part of her PR plan. The whole trailor trash thing she was doing a few months back was an act. She did it so that it would look like a comeback (and boost album sales) when she lost weight and dumped Kevin. Looks like it's happened. I believe I called this a while back in another thread.

Color me not surprised. Good thing her manager convinced her to sign a prenup.

I wonder what kind of appeal she'll have with today's music fans. The group that idolized her in the late 90s have since grown up. While artists like Christina and Jessica also had the same fan base back then, it's obvious that their talent appeals to a much wider audience.

I can't say the same thing about Britney, though.

I love how the judge basically told her she has portrayed herself in recent years as a white trash skank whore......so her defamation suit had no merit.

Although, I have to admit that I think Sean Preston is absolutely adorable. If her kids are the one good thing she got out of the marriage, so be it.

Now, maybe instead of worrying about her dumbass hubby she can work at being a better mom (ie. don't drive with your kid on your lap).
