Cheese spuds, club sandwiches, sweet tea, lemonade, and darn good chocolate chip cookies. I love McAlisters! Who's with me?

AlphaFrog 10-20-2006 03:26 PM

It's ok. Kind of expensive for an order-at-the-counter fast-food place.

BlueBatshit 10-20-2006 03:30 PM

I love McAlister's!

adpi*violet 10-20-2006 03:55 PM

McAllisters is good, but I like Jason's Deli better. They are both on the pricey side for lunch though.

WLFEO 10-20-2006 04:18 PM

I LOVE that sweet tea!

CrimsonTide4 10-20-2006 04:51 PM

We get it for free from time to time at work. For free, it's good but if I was paying for it, I would rather go to Firehouse Subs. :D

texas*princess 10-22-2006 10:33 AM

what is a McAlister?

I also hate McAlisters. It's overpriced, poor quality, and the food doesn't even have a taste, it is so bland. Plus, the people who work at our McAlisters here are rude and pushy, and demand tips for bringing your sandwich to a counter.

LPIDelta 10-22-2006 01:20 PM

Inspired by this thread (I read it right before going home from work) I decided to try McAlister's last night. It was ok. I like Jason's Deli better...

OleMissGlitter 10-22-2006 03:43 PM

Cheese spuds are the best and the first one is here in Oxford, MS! Their roast beef is the best too :)

I was wondering that as well so I checked it out in a search engine:
http://www.mcalistersdeli.com/

Seems to be a deli chain.
Only good deli is a local NY deli and those are falling fast:(

Tippiechick 10-23-2006 08:37 AM

They're ok. But, I only like the roast beef one. Other than that, I'd pass. They do have good sweet tea, though.

RU OX Alum 10-23-2006 09:56 AM

I didn't like it either, its like one of those little deli/sandwich type places except it's a chain, and in a strip mall. It tastes like strip mall chain food.

ForeverRoses 10-23-2006 11:06 AM

It's the only place in Central Indiana that makes good "Sweet Tea". I go there just for the tea.

Scandia 10-23-2006 05:06 PM

Cheese spuds, smoked cheddar, toffee cookies, awesome sweet tea. YAY!

Is there a McAlister's near Boston? I didn't realize that, Bee. What's your favorite dish there? Or do you like "the lot of them"?

Someone mentioned you were continuing the smearfest over here ReachTheLim-I mean Blueangel. Give it a rest before I report you for continual harassment.

You think you know, but you have no idea.

blueangel 10-24-2006 01:43 PM

Do they have bangers and mash, black pudding, fish and chips and all that lot at McAlisters?

tunatartare 10-24-2006 01:46 PM

So is MacAlister's like a deli or a fast food place?

Oh to answer your question, I think it's a deli. I think. It was posted on the first page.

tunatartare 10-24-2006 01:58 PM

I'm having a hard time comprehending a chain deli.

Is it something similar to Subway or Potbelly's?

Sister Havana 10-24-2006 02:06 PM

Am I the only one who's never heard of McAlister's?

Not a clue, it's not an NY thing.

I never heard of it too! I guess because we're from IL?

I don't know what a Potbelly's is, but it's not very similar to Subway. I guess the only similarity is that they both carry sandwiches.

McAlister's has AWESOME chips and salsa. They've got lots of different types of deli sanwiches, wraps, salads, etc.

Looks like they're only in Southern states right now.

http://www.mcalistersdeli.com/

I just saw the menu. I think it's pretty similar to what we have here (Potbelly's and Jimmy John's) Which I dearly miss their yummy chicken salad sandwiches :)

BUSTED.

ReachTheLimit 10-24-2006 04:45 PM

Actually, no, I haven't. If you don't believe me, I'm sure John will be more than happy to check the ISP's for you.

That should clear up any confusion.

Why would John check Internet Service Providers?

If you were accusing one person of having two screen names when there is no relation.

I'm starting to feel harrassed by your accusations, Reported!

Why bother, obviously Internet Service Providers will provide the adequate information!
