ITT we see how long it takes before Tom Earp shows up

I'm just curious to see if Earp peruses all the GLO forums too.

In other news I have stalled on ordering a new set of letters. Partly because of money and partly because I'm still unsure of what colour combo I like.

What are your favourite colour combos everyone?

tunatartare 10-17-2006 05:51 PM

I still like the patterns I showed you. My sweatshirts have polka dots on them, and I have one with Hello Kitty letters.

DSTCHAOS 10-17-2006 05:53 PM

Color combos for my org's symbols? The colors we use are specified and we don't use patterns. So we don't have much to choose from in terms of color combos and that's a good thing. :)

But I absolutely HATE black paraphernalia so I would say any black piece of clothing with a DST reference on it, or seeing the symbols outlined in black, makes me cringe.

My favorite color combo is the basic Crimson and Cream--or red and khaki substitute. I rarely do the red and white substitute but I have on occasion.

BaylorBean 10-17-2006 05:56 PM

My fav letter combo is actually my AXE letters. Gray shirt, red back letters, and a sparkly shooting star top letters.

I do need a new SK sweat shirt. Mine is showing some major signs of age.

tunatartare 10-17-2006 05:56 PM

That's interesting. Any reason for the dislike of black? I tend to like it because stains don't show up on it so it looks nicer longer.

I like the sound of the shooting star top letters. I have a grey hoodie with white background and maroon top letters. Both family and school colours.
I'm always dubious about patterns for letters. You never know if they'll look horrible or really nice in RL.

I'm wearing a white hoodie with Red Sox letters on them. Problem is, it's uncomfortable because all the fluffy goodness inside washed out, hence the need for a new one for winter.

I'm gonna try not to hold that against you. :p

Drolefille 10-17-2006 06:09 PM

I have the classic grey hoodie with Marroon on white letters. But we didn't do a lot of stitched letters in my chapter so that's all I have.

SoCalGirl 10-17-2006 06:43 PM

black hoody, silver background, purple letters

That's how I am too. If I'm going to spend money on it I want to make SURE that they will look good. To ensure that I went and bought fabric and took it somewhere to get the letters made. That way I knew how they would look.

ufdale 10-17-2006 06:58 PM

Ooooh so we all got our first block letters last weekend! There were some I was drooling over. They don't sell Vera Bradley fabric, but they sell napkins or scarves (not sure which) and a lot of girls had their letters made out of that fabric. SOOO CUTE! I don't even like Vera Bradley purses, but the fabric looked amazing on block letters.

BTW I think Tom's posts are usually relevant to the topic and I like reading them.

It's okay, you'll learn about Tom soon ;) Sometimes he's on topic but most of the time he's spouting incomprehensible crap.

I've seen some fabrics for Louis Vuitton and Coach which really amused me. I bet the Vera Bradley looked great.

Ooo that sounds really pretty. A possible combo to add to the list.

tunatartare 10-17-2006 07:36 PM

There's also Burberry pattern fabric if you wanna look high class.

Its because he hasn't sexually harassed you or made a racist comment that you've seen. Tom Earp is an asshole. You'll learn the hard way one day.

Is this sarcasm? :)

Do people really think that Burberry, Louis Vitton, and Coach patterns are or look high class? :(

Um, hello -- he doesn't give a crap about Sigma Kappa. Everyone knows he only meddles in Alpha Gamma Delta business! ;) :eek::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

You only wear Burberry to swim, when it snows, and when it rains:

Hah! My mom, sister, and I all bought matching Burberry baseball caps while we were in London. They look adorable in the pictures. :p

I think we also brought our Burberry raincoats on that trip. Hopefully, we weren't mistaken for football-mad hoodlums. :D

They look nice on everyone BUT chavs. I heard Burberry stopped making the caps because they didn't want to be associated with chavs in any way (and quite rightly so).
What makes me laugh more was going over there and seeing all the baseball caps for sale and people wearing them. They don't know what baseball is and they certainly don't know who the teams are. Rappers wear Yankees gear so it's good enough for them :P Sometimes I miss my country, most of the time I don't :D

Well I'm officially part of Da Crew now so it'll only be a matter of time before he goes digging through my sordid details and spreading them around I'm sure. You can't accuse a guy of being a pre-op transsexual for very long without repercussions.

Sadly though, I have seen people with Furberry print letters. And the reason why I saw Furberry is because not only were they fake Burberry print, but they were fuzzy too.

I'm stupid today because I just realized what "ITT" stands for.

Don't even worry about it, it still takes me some time to figure out acronyms like IIRC and ITT etc. I finally got them figured out but it took a lot on my part. ITT is the dyslexic tit!

My favorite is YMMV - your mileage may vary. I was on televisionwithoutpity.com for a good three weeks before I figured that one out!

SMH always gets me! I always think its dirty, but it's totally not. :(

When I was VPF advisor the chapter wanted new chapter letters. They had each girl write down what combo they'd like to have and the overwhelming majority picked that combo. They weren't given options of A, B, or C. Just put some colors down that you'd want. Great minds think alike!:D

This reminds me of the "LV" Wedding pics in the DST forum (I think it was DST:) ).

Me too and I crack up everytime I see them.

Sort of on topic, I got my new AOII Emporium magazine yesterday. I am with DSTChaos on the black stuff. I just don't like it and that is the basic color for our some alumna and most Life Loyal member stuff. However, I think that I will treat myself to the new make-up bag. Too cute!

Forgot to add: I do like this hoodie

and this dad's shirt.
