Brother David;
Having worked with many of the Brothers at National I will agree with the other posters that they would be the first people you should contact.

Also, as a new member here, you may not be aware that there is a SAE section here under Sigma.

Finally, what school are you located on?

Elephant Walk 10-03-2006 05:58 PM

He stated it in his initial post, IUPUI...

Indiana University and Purdue University at Indianapolis....Did you not pay attention to March Madness 2 or 3 years ago?

Sorry, but I think you may be in error on your school choice of names.

It is one that I have tried to figure out several times being in Pen.:)

I beleive Indiana is in the name!:D

greekalum 10-03-2006 06:13 PM

Tom, I believe you are thinking of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, which is abbreviated as IUP.

Elephant Walk is correct- IUPUI is a different university, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

You are thinking of IUP.

IUPUI is different.

Am I the only one who's surprised that he put his phone number on here?

No your not alone on that one......

SAEalumnus 10-03-2006 09:34 PM

Indiana University and Purdue University at Indianapolis is the right school. As a matter of interest, it's our Indiana Iota-Pi Colony, which apparently is so new that it doesn't yet show up on most areas of our national database.

If I did, I do not recall seeing IUPUI..:o
But then again, I can tell you stories about what people ask me about the who, what, where, when, how et al questions about UPS...A/K/A University of Puget Sound.:) ;) :D

They played the first game of the tournament, the elimination before you get into the 64 team tournament a couple years ago

Nope,....now the real question is has anyone tried calling it yet?

Tom Earp 10-04-2006 03:49 PM

My bad, yes the IUIIPs and all of the letters does throw one of stride!:D

But here again, if you are truely interested, contact SAE IHQ. Chat with them and show them what you have in membership, plans, budget, and recruitment.

What is the images opf Greeks on campus and are they willing to expand. Many times Nationals will not unless the school is willing also.

greekalum 10-04-2006 06:07 PM

Considering there is already an SAE chapter there (which he seems to be a part of and which SAEAlumnus posted in this thread was a new colony), it's a safe bet to say the school and Nationals are willing.

Tom Earp 10-04-2006 06:17 PM

LOL, I guess no one looked at any dates did WE?

Or maybe We did and are not now sure about what is going on?

SAEalumnus 10-04-2006 10:12 PM

I moved this thread as I think the SAE forum is a more appropriate place for it, considering it's a request to help recruit members for an SAE colony.

If there are any brothers in the Indianapolis area who are willing to lend a hand, the men at IUPUI (Indiana Iota-Pi) would appreciate your assistance!
