what does the number of actives who aren't virgins have to do with anything? most college-aged girls have had sex, greek or not.

I think this topic should be closed NOW before this gets out of hand. Anything the V's have (the website, the poll) is TROUBLE and I think we've had ENOUGH of their crap.

My message about the fraternity/sorority online questionaire is simply a way for other greeks to express how their fraternity life is going.

Mrs. V, why should we patronize your website if we can freely express our opinions here? Your questions show nothing but negative attitudes toward the Greek community, and this is supposed to display how their Greek life is going?

Your website contains a sorry excuse for an online poll--which is quite reflective of your behavior on the followers.com message board.

Mr. Hammel--again, we ask that you close this thread. It's obvious that Mrs. V wants things to get out of hand. Other message boards have been contaminated because of her...let's not let her ruin this one too.

To give a little feedback, to make the poll less slanted, I have a suggestion or 2.

You have a question, "How many of your fraternity brothers/ sorority sisters are involved sexual activity?"

Now, you could say 1-5, and there only be 5 actives. If all 5 are sexually active, that's bad, if you want to look at it that way. You could say 26+, but if it's a chapter of 150+, 26 is less than 25%. In other words, I think you should have percentages instead of numbers.

Another vote to close. We know that the results will be manipulated, to make greeks look bad. There's no need for that here. If the V's want to chat, they should make a message board on their own site.

It's a little bit tiring reading the same thing over and over "Close this thread..."

Not to beat a very dead horse(and I mean very dead), but did anybody stop to thing that this "barbv" person could be our "good" friend Carol/Becky/ just trying to spread some New Years cheer with this so called poll?

There is no way to do percentages with the hitbox poll. It's just not set up that way. After a large enough number have voted, there should be a way to figure it out better.

The poll is only a device to be able to answer these kinds of questions without being identified personally. They wanted a place that they could express their opinions about their own organizations, and how they differ from the Sigma Theta chapter of Chi Omega, or if they are similar in any way. It's to get an honest answer, or there is no point to it.

Here's another vote to close.

I vote to keep the thread OPEN! A thread shouldn't be closed just because it's irritating. If that was the case, then about half the threads on this board should be closed. If you don't like something, then don't respond! Sheesh, it's not rocket science. If you ignore her long enough, she will go away.

My question is, who is THEY? Are you referring to Chi Omega's that aren't affiliated with SHSU? Because last time I checked most of us didn't want to have anything more to do with the situation and had threads about it closed on our board. I don't think our National Organization would promote such a biased poll. I know what you're thinking, "Oh, well Chi Omega doesn't want the truth to come out"...typical reply. I just think that you seem to feel you are apart of our organization and can speak on behalf of us. Show me the letters where Chi Omegas have encouraged you to post this poll. I highly doubt there are any.
You know, you have a great cause...stop hazing. However, if you wanted to make any progress you wouldn't make us your enemies, you'd politely reach out to us for help. I'm sure we'd all be willing to implement some of your ideas, but you won't get anywhere if you just keep on belittleing the greek system (which you were once apart of).
