Gamma Sigma Sigma roll call
Sisters,
I would love to see who on GC is a Gamma Sig. I want to add you to my buddy list here on GC. I am joining our alumni chapter, 10 years after graduating, and my collegiate chapter disbanded the semester I completed my BA. Just looking for other Gamma Sigs... UIS |
I am a member of the Cherry Blossom Alumni chapter! :)

Thanks, darling! I thought it was something like that!

my bad! didn't mean 2 confuse anybody with how i wrote my line info...clearly i'm a neo (lol:)

No worries! I was in college a long time ago, in the north. We didn't have anything like that. Our Gamma Sig chapter didn't even have pledge class names (like beta, gamma, etc.). It was just Fall 93 or whatever. And we didn't get formal nicknames. My big sister gave me mine as a goof.
It seems like a lot of chapters have traditions and customs similar to those of social sororities now, as opposed to when I pledged. |
i go to a pwi and i wanted to know if having names is ok here
since i have a heavy nphc family i was lookin forward to jackets and names and such but they dont do that here is there any protocol |

You can most certainly get a jacket. I know of two sorors that pledged at PWI's and they got one. You can get the letters, shield, the semester/year you crossed and your school and chapter on each sleeve. You don't have to get anything on the back, unless it's something general to the sorority. Shoot me a PM, we can talk about it. :) Also please introduce yourself! Chapter and Year! |
Help!!!!
I pledged Gamma Sig Fall 1991. I have since left the college that I pledged at and eventually graduated from another school. I have for a while and just found this site and was wondering if anyone here knows how or if I am eligible for joining an Alumnae chapter. I have lost touch with former members and all items that I had pertaining to my pledge process as since been misplaced or "hiding" at my parents' home. Any ideas?

You are eligible for joining as long as you honorably separated from your initiating chapter. Where are you now? You can send me a PM if you'd like. |

Hi Sis, I am still in the same city as the college I originally attended, but have lost touch with everyone on campus including the Advisor who was there at the time. :( |
What city are you in?
I can try to direct you to the nearest alum chapter. |
Tallahassee, FL. Thank you in advance for whatever help you can provide.

They are comprised of mostly alumni from FAMU, but any GSS alum living in the area can join. You can email them at omicronalums@gammasigmasigma.org :) |
Thank you sooooo much.:)
