Hello Fellow Greeks!

I thought we could play a little game to encourage Greek Unity. Here's how it works: say something complementary about the greek organization of the person above you. It can be about their national organization, the chapter on your campus, a particular person you know in the organization or anything else you can think of. The only rule is: it has to be POSITIVE. After all, we are trying to encourage Greek bonding! If you've never heard of the organization, then check out their website. Look into their philanthropy or history. I'm sure you can find something you admire.

Make sure you mention the name of your org when you post about someone else! Mine is obviously KAPPA DELTA.

So, have fun!

Kappa Delta has some of the hottest women ever. Nuff said.

The boys in Alpha Phi Alpha at my school are always gentlemen. They hold doors open. They smile when they pass you, and they have respect for the ladies. Way to go APhiA!

Kappa Delta:
I only know two KDs IRL, both two very awesome ladies who have things remarkably together (including their wardrobes :D ). (Luv the KD handsign as well; it's very cute.)

Alpha Phi Alpha:
One of the most impressive histories and amazing stories of any fraternity. Period.

Alpha Delta Pi:
I like how this organization presents itself in a very classy and prestigious way. Also nicest lawn on the GT campus :p

KD: My good friend is a KD from Clemson (A LONG TIME AGO). One of my daughter's good friends is a KD at William and Mary.

I love the fact that KD has a formal connection with GSUSA.

Alpha Phi Alpha: Back when GEN Alum was LT Alum, his company commander was a member of this fine fraternity. Great guy!

Founded at Cornell, forefather of HBGLOs, what's more to say? I really enjoyed the documentary that was aired on PBS this winter.

ADPi: A friend's daughter is an ADPi at UVa. I used to have a neighbor who was an ADPi from Tennessee.

Love the Lion and the fact that the Adelphean Society predated a lot of GLOs that started with greek letters.

Delta Sigma Theta: I worked for or with a couple of Deltas over the years from University of Louisville, University of Georgia.

I like the fact that Delta Sigma Theta is very pro-active in hs girls' lives even before they get to college.

Oh, you don't have to say something about everyone above you (unless you want to), just the person immediately above you. Otherwise, your post could get really really lengthy!

I love KKG- All the girls I've met take so much pride in their organization, and I love the little song they sing (Rah Rah for KKG). It got stuck in my head big time during rush!

Come on y'all! Where's your panhellenic spirit? Someone say something nice about KAPPA KAPPA GAMMA! Let's give it up for Kappa.

As an undergrad, I was an intramural flag football official. Kappa Kappa Gamma mopped everyone up on the field, and made it look really good(and I'm not talking about their playbook). Afterwards, they would chant pretty hard and then do some sort of monkey pile. While I have no experience with NPC matters, those scenes would look great in a rush video.

I love Kappa's colors - light and dark blue. And the fleur-de-lis...even its name is regal!

Yeah Kappa Kappa Gamma is amazing. I loved them during rush! And I agree the Fleur de Lis is so pretty and regal. Let's hear something wonderful about Gamma Phi Beta!

There is an epidemiologist who has done research with allergies and asthma which she presented at a WHO conference in Vienna that I work with who is a Gamma Phi Beta. I have the utmost respect for her and, in spite of her millions of dollars received in NIH grant funding, she's a very down to earth, girl next door type of lady. She is the epitome of class, friendliness and intelligence.

Finally, I can say something nice about an above poster!:D

AGD is one of the Three Sororitys at My Campus and do very well thank you!

I do! I love the food drive philanthropy, it's something that gets overlooked but is SO important.

The Lambda Chis at my school were a great group of guys. One of our Chapter founders married a Lambda Chi and for many generations now, the Alpha Gams and Lambda Chis at that school have been very close. From my era, at least 6 of us married Lambda Chis and I know that there were several Lambda Chi/Alpha Gam marriages in the 90's and I believe there has been at least one in this millenium too. They used to do a 20's Gangster "Lock In" for MDA in my era and it was always a blast. They were also one of the few fraternities that didn't haze. Upstanding guys on my campus (even though I divorced the one I married..lol.. the rest of them were great).

And, so as not to ask for another Alpha Gam compliment, how about one of the other Syracuse Triad.. Alpha Phi

Well, I don't know any Alpha Phis or too much about their org, but I do love how they say "Fee" instead of "Fie". It's cute and unique :)

I know a LOT of Alpha Gams, who I love to death :D Very sweet, down-to-earth, hard-working ladies who are a blast to be around.

Tippe, I hope you meant that as a joke. This thread was created to encourage positive sentiments towards all greek organization members. Let's try to keep it nice in here.

I was just hoping that people can reserve their resentment for every other thread, and this one can simply be a positive and happy one. Tom didn't say anything negative. Let's try to forget our conflicts for once and keep all our comments in this thread pleasant.

Anyway since nobody new has posted in awhile, let's say something nice about the fabulous boys of SAE - ready go!

Every Zeta Tau Alpha I've ever met has been an intelligent, classy lady.

Alpha Delta Pi:

I love how many represent themselves in a positive way here on GC.

I appreciate their Macon, Georgia heritage.

I drool over the many variations of their beautiful jeweled badges.

While there isn't a SDT on my campus, I have to say that I enjoyed researching it on the internet!

I am a gemologist and I just love their jewel...lapis lazuli! It's very regal and so unique. Also, their philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America, is outstanding. They are making a difference in the lives of many children. Kudos to you, SDT!

I was enganged to a Delta Gamma. She and all her sisters were great. Had a very strong sisterhood. The DGs at University of Memphis (my grad school) were very classy and together. I also like their motto "Do Good".

I don't discuss my GLO affiliation here because I think it lets me speak a little more freely on opinion-based topics that may not necessarily reflect the view of my IHQ or chapter (with which I have an Advisory position.)

But I would like to say that Tom Earp has been a tremendous friend and resource for me. In my duties I have a lot of work to do, and we have had many conversations where he shared ideas about creating alumni associations and dealing with budgetary issues that have had a tangible positive impact on my service to my chapter.

I ain't even a Lamda Chi and this guy is helping me out.

Whatever disagreements between Tom and others are your business and I am not interfering or passing judgment.

But after all he has done for me these last few weeks, this is the right thread to say a well-deserved public thank you.

Yeah for all the greek spirit action on this board! If you don't have an affiliation or don't want to name yours, please just list one so that the game can continue! Thanks.

PS I love the little gamma/salute things the DGs do, I love the diversity of girls in Chi Omega, and I obviously love SDT's philanthropy since we have the same one. :) Prevent Child abuse America!

Well, to get this back on the positive track, I'll say something nice about DG: every year during rush, one of their door songs stuck in my head all week...it was so catchy, and I know i'm not the only one that liked it. "Drop your anchor, come and be part of our fraternity, we love DG, so will you, if you drop your anchor, too!"

How about Sigma Kappa? I really like the Sig Kaps on my campus, they're really nice and down to earth, just all around great girls.

I've only ever known one Sigma Kappa, but when her aunt & uncle were unable to conceive a child for over a decade, she carried their baby for them. I was amazed by the depth of love she showed by that one gracious act!

I like ADPi's rich history. Very interesting and thoughtful.
