NFL 2006

It's the first week of the regular season and I'm surprised we don't have a thread about it already!

As a Bears fan, I'm very happy with what happened today. :D 26-0!

macallan25 09-10-2006 11:11 PM

"High Powered" Dallas looked absolutely pathetic today.

MJo19 09-11-2006 07:20 AM

Who Dey:D

tinydancer 09-11-2006 10:52 AM

Well, the Chefs are off to a roaring start.

Sophist08edLady 09-11-2006 10:56 AM

My Team is currently undefeated :p
E-A-G-L-E-S!!!! GOOOOOOOOO EAGLES!:D

KSigkid 09-11-2006 11:10 AM

My team (Giants) lost last night, and my starting fantasy quarterback for one of my leagues (Trent Green) got absolutely wrecked yesterday. Not a good start to the season.

Thrillhouse 09-11-2006 05:38 PM

The D S express ran wild on Houston yesterday. Good to see for sure:D

valkyrie 09-11-2006 09:28 PM

Bears good.
Broncos bad.

That is all.

Sister Havana 09-24-2006 05:09 PM

What a tight, hard-fought, ugly game between the Bears-Vikings today. However, I am happy that my Bears won! :D

The Giants are my team too! Woohoo. Anyways...I always want to see my giants win, but lately they've had one heck of a schedule. Last week it was the eagles this week the seahawks...seriously they need to play a team they can beat---how about the cowboys :D

(As a matter of fact, the giants are playing right now and they are down 21-0).

I thought they should have beaten the colts, but stupid ol Feely couldn't kick a freaking field goal to save his life, and he isn't getting much better.

All i gotta say is Thank God for Plaxico Burress and Brandon Jacobs. Along with my hunny-bunny Tiki Barber (lol) and of course Eli Manning, these boys can handle their own. Although I'm not watching the game (i have no tv in my dorm and the only tv on is showing another game) I seriously hope Burress is playing. I don't think the Giants can handle going one game without him, especially against the Seahawks.

I guess we'll end up seeing what happens tonight.

(The seahawks just made another touchdown...28-0).

epchick 09-24-2006 05:31 PM

Oh and I must say that Dallas is a let down. My dad and I are getting so much slack from family members and friends (all of whom are Cowboy fans) about how "big and bad" Dallas is now that they got all these great players and now they have T.O. and they are going to be unstoppable. I'm sorry, but in IMHO, I think Dallas is playing worse than they did last season.

shinerbock 09-24-2006 05:48 PM

Thankfully the Redskins finally won a game. The Falcons look good too, although my support for them is only half hearted considering how ghetto the team has become.

At least your Giants tried to make a come back though :D.

Sophist08edLady 09-24-2006 11:57 PM

Go Eagles

Eagles victory against 49ers 38-24

E-A-G-L-E-S......Eagles!!!:p

Yeah...a little too late. I think if they had started playing like that back in maybe the 3rd quarter, then the game might have gone into OT.

The Giants can't rely on their ability to come back at the last few minutes of the game. I want my Giants to go to the Superbowl, and you can't play like they were playing and go to the Superbowl.

TonyB06 09-25-2006 09:21 AM

Cincinnati Bengals 3-0. The rest of yall can fall back.

P.S. ...Joey Porter, you always have something to say. 28-20 yesterday in your house. How's that taste? :)

I was cussing at them the first play, then by the end of the first half I wasn't cussing at them much more. I left with 10 minutes left as I was fairly confident we had it then was suprised to hear the final score. Sounds like I missed an interesting last few minutes LOL

All I can say about pro football is... At least we have the Pistons, Red Wings, Tigers and U of M football!

shinerbock 09-26-2006 12:05 AM

What a horrible monday night game. Not only did I throw up watching the falcon's performance, but the commentary made me sick as well.

RedefinedDiva 09-26-2006 12:34 AM

My NEW ORLEANS SAINTS are 3-0!! Back home in the Dome, baby!!

wrigley 09-26-2006 11:56 AM

Go Bears!!! 3-0

valkyrie 09-26-2006 12:08 PM

I knew you be happy about that! LOL I hope your boys don't disappoint you AND the hubby this year. Of course them not disappointing you is totally based on whether or not they can stay out of jail.
Ohhhh....that was mean, wasn't it?? ;)

shinerbock 09-26-2006 12:53 PM

The game last night was not legit. I suspect the Falcons will spank the Saints when they play in Atlanta. We're lightyears ahead of them on defense. That being said, Vick has some of the worst work ethic in the league. I'd rather have Schaub playing QB.

Eclipse,
you are a too beautiful a person to be such a hater. :) Nothing will stop Marvin Lewis and the squad from our destiny this year: Super Bowl Champions.

...and you, the hubby and I will need to celebrate it with large quantities of Skyline Chili!!!

Sophist08edLady 10-08-2006 07:43 PM

Go Birds!!!!

Fly Eagles Fly!:D

That game was awesome! The Eagles rocked Dallas and O.D...I mean T.O. 38-24

AGDee 10-08-2006 07:51 PM

Here in Detroit, you wouldn't even know the Lions played this weekend.. haven't heard them mentioned by anybody all weekend. Oh gee, they lost again. Maybe we should just have the Michigan team play instead?

chopperLI905 10-08-2006 09:29 PM

5-0!!! Rex is our guy. The d is at the top of its game. And the O is very balanced so look out everyone. The Monsters of the Midway are back.

Sister Havana 10-09-2006 12:35 AM

The Bears are looking scary good right now.

GeekyPenguin 10-09-2006 01:26 AM

So, um, how bout those Packers?

My football season is pretty much cheering against the Vikings right now.

docetboy 10-10-2006 12:06 AM

Ravens 03 - Denver 13

'nough Said.

First in the West, here to stay. GO BRONCOS!

Winning Ugly.

Good thing the Broncos have a defense.

I don't care how ugly the win is, as long as they keep having more points than the other team when the final seconds of the game tick down.

valkyrie 10-10-2006 11:40 AM

Tony Kornheiser can bite me. I don't need some kvetching old man with the worst combover in the world talking about how there's nothing in Colorado but sheep. WTF. And Michael Irvin, get your head out of your ass.

PLEASE let this be the year of the Bears/Broncos Super Bowl. PLEASE.

Good point. And, for the record, the oldest restaurant in Denver (and holder of Colorado Liquor License Number 1) is the BuckHORN Exchange -- not the BuckHEAD.

Actually, I think the whole Monday Night Football announce team is awful.

Finally, if Jake the Snake doesn't get his act at least a little bit together, there ain't gonna be anything but the Toilet Bowl for the Broncs.

Me and this guy from my dorm were watching this game and he had the Ravens pegged to win 13-9. I told him that I thought that Denver would win...with the same score.

He didn't think the Broncos could pull it out....but I guess they did :D

I'm just happy my Giants won!! woohoo.

Exactly. I have nothing against denver but Jake the snake would scare me come playoff time if I was a fan.

The1calledTKE 10-22-2006 05:24 PM

Falcons beat the Steelers in OT with a field goal by the 46 year old Morten Anderson. I am happy the Falcons proved all those people wrong that said they wouldn't win because of the Steelers defense. Vick looked great with 4 td passed a career high for him.

shinerbock 10-22-2006 08:05 PM

I'd like to take this moment to say EAT ME to all the bandwagon Steeler fans who've been talking trash about how bad they were gonna beat Atlanta today. That is all.
