Good for you! Sounds like recruitment is going well.

Are all the sororities housed or dorms or ?

And about the smallest group...don't let the size turn you off. Smaller groups can mean increased chances of leadership positions and opportunities to make a big impact. Obviously, if the connection isn't there, it isn't there, but just something to think about :).

BadSquirrelBeta 09-10-2006 12:33 PM

Thanks for the update. Along with the party descriptions I LOVE your fashion play-by-play as well!! And, I do have to say I agree with what other posters have said about not letting small size deter you. There could have been big senior classes for the last couple of years...BUT if you have a **good** feeling about the chapter, then go for it!! Have fun and keep us informed!! GOOD LUCK!!

twinkle555 09-10-2006 01:04 PM

yay another story! have fun and be yourself! good luck peach!!

AngelPhiSig 09-10-2006 01:27 PM

Oh yes! Finally a rec. story featuring a Phi Sig chapter! This is one of the few times in all of my GC life that Ive seen this!

Have fun during recruitment! I LOVED formal and I wish that my school still did it! You'll find a great home!

Phi Sigma Sigma has an amazing history and yes, we need to hear more from it.

Ditto what PhoenixAzul said. My chapter was the smallest chapter on campus when I was an undergrad, and I really liked it because it allowed me to know all of my sisters really well and there were so many leadership opportunities. While there are also benefits to a larger house, I wouldn't trade my experience in a smaller house for anything!

Plus, McDreamy? Hello! :D

adpiucf 09-11-2006 12:10 PM

Have a great time at recruitment. Please refrain from describing what you were wearing. People at your school may be reading GC, will be able to ID you and hold it against you by guessing which sorority is which and dropping you if they think you've expressed an interest elsewhere. We've seen this happen before. Good luck and have a great time!

People ARE reading and know what's what. Even if their chapter is no longer there.;) :p

ETA: But there are two girls from this school who are active Alums, and their chapter IS still there....be careful what you say. I know what school you're at and what groups are what, just from your first post.

I kind of do too.

But take the groups' real names out of your post instead of the clothes. I like hearing about the clothes. :)

FSUZeta 09-12-2006 08:31 AM

go peach!!!

sailboatgirl 09-12-2006 10:16 AM

I don't know what it is about this thread...the Grey's Anatomy names or the fact that there is a Sigma chapter, but I am HOOKED! Too bad recruitment is so spread out...hard to keep the recruitment story addiction going!

Best of luck, DisplacedPeach!

SigKapSweetie 09-12-2006 11:32 AM

Yay, another thread with Sigma K! Good luck, DisplacedPeach!

Open House Round One was tonight... I won't get into the details of what the houses looked like, I don't want to give anything away. :)

I visited:
Meredith
Izzy
Christina

Meredith: This girls are great, so cute and smart and the house is precious. The president and the VP both remembered me and the girls I talked to were al so fun. The slideshow was great too, I really like this house. :D

Izzy: LOVE THEM! My favorite... house and all the sisters are beautiful. Every girl I talk to is amazing, and they are all so close and fun. I really hope it went well... ;)

Christina: Huge, gorgeous house. All the girls seem so down to earth, and I had really great conversations. I like them more every time.

Awesome, sounds like your choices are falling just right :). I hope you have a fabulous recruitment.

 Not sure what happened here to this thread (thought I'm guessing posts were deleted to protect anonymity), but I hope all is still going well…

Looks like she didn't want her story out there anymore (for whatever reason).

Echoing what sailboatgirl said though, hope everything's ok!

Hopefully. There was an alum from this school reading her posts and knew exactly who she was. (Not to mention that anyone who's even been on this campus could tell what groups she was talking about from the first sentence of each one). Yesterday was bid day, so maybe she'll come back and let us know something.

Hopefully she got a bid to the house of her choice, and anything she might have said on here didn't have an effect for her.

*Sends goodvibes her way*

Awesome. DZ was a great group when I was there. Have fun in the Ski Chalet (I always thought that's what their house looks like...I would post a pic, but I don't know if you were going to say what school it is...)

YEA! I had the opportunity to visit your chapter 13 years ago when I was a chapter consultant! I had just gone through a breakup, and those ladies were wonderful at helping me forget my broken heart! Really enjoyed that visit, and their house is truly unique!

Congratulations to you & your new pledge sisters!
