Drolefille for Sig Kap mod!!!

We have gone too long with out a mod and really need one. All those in favor of supporting Drolefille for mod, say AY!

AlphaFrog 09-07-2006 01:28 PM

I support this. I'm not a Sigma Kappa, so it doesn't matter, really. But I just wanted to say it anyway.

Drolefille 09-07-2006 01:31 PM

Well thanks for the panhellenic support.

In my favor: I'm online a LOT. I believe the mod's job in this forum is mostly to keep private information off of it as well as general maintenance of stickies and such. I promise not to over mod, nor would I under mod.

Any concerns please let me know.

tunatartare 09-07-2006 01:35 PM

If Drolefille doesn't work out, I know of a great alternative. She loves the Terms of Service and knows them by heart. She is not a Sig Kap but she truly believes that you don't have to be a member of a sorority to be that sorority's mod. She would bring some decorum and discipline into your otherwise rowdy and chaotic forum.

Drolefille 09-07-2006 02:11 PM

Stop it! :p

_Lisa_ 09-07-2006 05:38 PM

I support this! We need a moderator! :D

SoCalGirl 09-07-2006 09:31 PM

Do we have a quorum present? We really should be proper about this. Especially since our lovely members have been very active lately. :D

PSUSigKap 09-07-2006 11:50 PM

I vote yes for Drolefille

See, this is why we need a moderator, keep all the rifraff out of here!

Seriously though, we've been without a moderator for a while and I'd really like to step up. We shouldn't have to PM John in the case of another *coughskepicough* I don't want to be "in charge" just the person who straightens up once in a while and keeps private matters private.

BaylorBean 09-08-2006 12:08 PM

SO the question is, how do we get a mod? Do we need to inendate Johns box with PMs? I'm sure he hasn't gotten enough the past week.

We can but what he'll do is debate it between the other mods if they think this person is the right choice or not. Then John will either make a decision or not.

melsigkap 09-09-2006 09:18 PM

Yes!

SigKapQueen 09-10-2006 06:00 PM

everyone in favor say i

I
:D

SigKapSweetie 09-22-2006 05:25 PM

I vote yes. We are totally cool enough to have a mod. Yay Drolefille!

BaylorBean 10-13-2006 09:45 AM

Any word on moderator status??? Do we need to start a PM campaign to John?

BetteDavisEyes 10-13-2006 09:49 AM

He already PM'd me a few weeks ago. Names have been put into his "For Consideration" status. It will then be decided upon by the other mods before we get one.

Drolefille 10-13-2006 10:22 AM

I'd just be happy if any Sigma Kappa were moderating. :)

I hate browsing the forums and seeing XYZ ritual posted in a thread for long periods of time because there isn't a mod of that forum. (Long periods is relative) You just have to report it and hope that John fixes it.

Of course, if anyone wants to PM John, I don't mind that either :)

SigKapSweetie 11-09-2006 12:13 AM

Bump for moderator plskthx.

Drolefille 11-09-2006 10:25 AM

I'll repeat my previous statement: If ANY moderator is chosen by Friday I'll shut up for a week. (I may or may not renew this offer)

BetteDavisEyes 11-09-2006 09:55 PM

Still waiting huh?

Drolefille 11-09-2006 10:59 PM

Hey, I said I'd shut up for a week :D You'd think someone would jump on that! :p

SoCalGirl 11-10-2006 07:07 PM

So are there like required hours to be a mod? What kind of work actually goes into being a mod?

BetteDavisEyes 11-10-2006 09:46 PM

I don't think there are required hours but it is probably a good thing if the mod spends at least some time on the forum each day to make sure that there's nothing "controversial" i.e. For Sisters Only stuff posted on here.

_Lisa_ 11-11-2006 10:28 AM

I don't think this is happening, John's been around recently & we still don't have a mod. Honestly, I would take anyone who is around enough to help prune our forum just the littlest bit, even a non-SigKap.

We're active enough to justify a moderator.

Drolefille 11-11-2006 06:01 PM

Seriously, it should not be that difficult to make a SK a mod though. Pick one. Any one. I don't want to have to PM a non sister and say "psst, that's ritual, delete it" you know?

ufdale 11-11-2006 10:54 PM

There are tons of other sororities and fraternity that don't have nearly as much activity as us and they have mods!

I agree, but at this point I'll take who we can get. As it is now, we're PMing a non-Sig Kap to delete stuff: John. Except he isn't active enough to delete things faster than someone else who is around all the time.

I know. :(

Yeah but I think we've been lucky too. How many pieces of people's ritual have you seen on here at different points in time? Somehow John seems above it all, but I really wouldn't want most of the current moderators... not anything against them personally. If that happens we should get to vote on who that non-SK mod is. It shouldn't just be left up to the other moderators.

(Gah, Tom Earp, moderator of the SK forum! :()

Don't I know that! I have seen things posted that I later realized I wasn't supposed to know about other organizations and then felt guilty for knowing! :( Could we get a mod, pretty pretty please?

BetteDavisEyes 11-12-2006 10:04 PM

*crickets chirping*

;)

SoCalGirl 11-12-2006 10:51 PM

Is there anyone who is not willing to be mod?

Perhaps a few of our lurking/inactive GC sisters? But if they're on more often than it seems... (COME! Post with us!) then they'd probably be ok with it too. :p

BaylorBean 11-13-2006 10:30 AM

If anything the lurking sisters who are on all the time might be the best bets for mods.

Ok here this is what we need to do....lets think of something to put in our sig for the petition for a SigKap Mod.

Drolefille 11-13-2006 12:06 PM

Sigma Kappa wants a sister as a moderator. We don't care who, please just pick one.

I'm good with that, putting it in my signature now.

SigKapSweetie 11-13-2006 06:56 PM

Me too!

Drolefille 11-13-2006 07:12 PM

SigKapSweetie, I love the sisterhood quote in your siggy.

BetteDavisEyes 11-13-2006 07:27 PM

I honestly don't think that us getting a mod isn't a priority for John right now when he has all these psycho's roaming GC. I'm just afraid that soon, one of those crazies is going to start posting & stalking our board & with no mod, those posts/threads will stay around.

Who else is a possible candidate besides Lisa, Drollefille, UofISigKap, SigKapSweetie, & BaylorBean? I think it has to be someone that's been around for at least a few years & knows GC.

I wish we could get a mod. Oh well.
